I mean we all believe as hard as we can, but until the end, we can't really KNOW, can we?

Interesting thought! In the flesh 'we can't really know', I would say; but when one truly receives the Lord Jesus they have the PROMISE of God that they "are born again" (John 3); also the sealing of the Holy Spirit as God tells us, so that we can feel assured that all is well (less we deliberately go contrary to God and bring offense, which is carnal rebellion (not a wise thing to do ---right?). One saved is always saved, though they may suffer loss at the "judgment seat of Christ in Heaven" if they live and offend God on earth ---would you say?

No. Humans are sinful to the core. Remember Jesus says that if we have faith of a mustard seed we can move mountains. No one comes anywhere near 100% faith. That is part of our fallen nature as humans. The good news is Christ can forgive us of this shortcoming.

... In the here and now, we might think we don't know whether or not we truly believe, but typically we each do know whether we think we're going to throw in the towel, reject Christ and walk away.....................OR instead fall to our knees and ask for Christ to forgive us of our failures and somehow help us to believer "better" as we move, live and breath our way into the future.

Well, whoever and wherever you are, I’ve learned that in the beginning of a True Christian relationship with Our Creator, we may ask a few Questions.

~yes, it’s OK to only ask Questions, but not advised. It’s very Give-and-Take.....,

much like what can a Rhino do for a Bird, and vice versa.

listen, I’ve had 98% faith up until now, and have just prayed for %100! Keep on going, and CONVERSE (not the shoe brand?).

Thanks for the replies everyone: both from those who have complete confidence and those who, like me, are still working towards it.
Turning to Scripture, though, I think the story of St. Thomas in John 20:24-29 may be the most appropriate for my questions.
