This is a bit misleading as it was all a joke:

That’s when Trump joked: “Well, Sarah, that settles it. You’re going to North Korea and taking one for the team! Your husband and kids will miss you, but you’ll be a hero to your country!”

She writes that Kelly and Trump “howled with laughter.”

Oh, OK, then it's fine - just what a couple of Christians should be joking about and publishing for everyone to see. I remember when the Republican party used to at least pretend to have morals (even Christian morals). I know, I know - it's "locker room talk", "that's how guys talk", "he's King Cyrus", etc. etc. ad nauseum. The excuses just keep a-comin'.

....it is kinda of funny....but was Sarah laughing?

From the Guardian article linked in the OP (which does spell out the expletive):

Sanders, a devout Christian who discusses her faith throughout her book, does not spell out the presidential expletive. But she does write that she told Trump that was not what she meant, and said: “Sir, please stop.”

And that's when Trump told his 'joke'. Pretty textbook workplace harassment, if she had wanted to make something of it.

Really? I thought that "When you're a star, they let you do it. You can do anything."

This story says a LOT more about Huckabee-Sanders and Trump than just the story printed in the article.

Unbelievable!

If I worked for the president as his press secretary and Kim Jong Un, for whatever reason, decided to wink at me, and then Trump told me to "take one for the team," I would just brush off the remark. No harm no foul. Why do you think she's so offended? I certainly wouldn't be.

Why do you think she's so offended?
Because she's a devout Christian woman who is faithful to her husband? Because she finds Kim Jong Un repulsive? Because it wasn't 100% clear that he was truly joking? I can think of a number of possible reasons. But if you really want to know, you'll have to ask her.

It's not that offensive. Are you anti-Trumpers so irritated at Trump that this is worst sort of so-called dirt you can dig up on him?

Thanks, yea, that isn't cool.

In any typical workplace, this gets the perp (Trump) an official reprimand.

I don’t care much for Huckabee Sanders, but Trump was disrespectful and she indicated she was offended.

The President again acting like a bully and a general piece of garbage.

Well, if Kim Jong Un winked at you suggestively, and president Trump told you to take one for the team or said some other casual remark about it, would you really be that offended?

I would tell Trump to shove it up his Un.

Not a good choice if you want to keep your job as press secretary. I'll admit that I admire people who speak their minds and never feel afraid to hold back their voice and opinions. But sometimes that isn't always the wisest course of action. Like Trump said, take one for the team.

Trump’s team can bite Sean Hannity’s backside.

Your hypothetical scenario misses because I figured out decades ago that Trump was lowlife Yankee scum. So, I wouldn’t work for him under any circumstances.

Absolutely not. You don’t earn respect for yourself by allowing Trump or anyone else to treat you this way.

Trump was not respectful to her, and though I am not a fan of hers, her position deserved respect from him.

Yeah, that thing of powerful people being inappropriate and their employees not having the power to speak back without losing their jobs is pretty much the entire reason we have protections and rules about workplace behavior.
