We start next week! I had originally planned to homeschool, but my child's school offered an online option at the last minute. We are doing a hybrid of both. Online class streaming is only going to be for 45 min. to an hour a day. I adore the teacher and it's a good way for my child to keep up with 2nd language studies. Then the rest of the day we will be doing play based learning in all subjects to support what is going on in the virtual lessons. We are pretty excited to start and I'm glad to have the option for my kid to stay safe and to keep others safe as well! I did a whole study of Australia's School of the Air when I was a kid and so I do believe virtual lessons with support will work and be a memorable and positive experience!

I homeschooled four children who are all grown now. Back then it was the extremely long bus ride that decided me. I wrote down everything I learned throughout the process and how I overcame certain struggles (my children have learning disabilities).

I took all my data and studies and experiences and created a homescholling book. Originally I called this Homeschooling on a Shoe String but that name got taken by another so now it Going Against the Tide. Its not perfect. I cannot edit my own works as well as they should be but for free I think its worth it for any looking to find a cheap yet thorough home schooling program.
