According to the Center for the Study of Global Christianity (CSGC) at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, there are approximately 41,000 Christian denominations and organizations in the world today. This statistic takes into consideration cultural distinctions between denominations in different countries, so there is an overlapping of many denominations.

Essential Stats and Facts About Christianity Today

All of these denominations have differing views on what Yahshua was telling us; but here is one thing that they all seem to share in common: They all seem to claim that they are led by the Ruach Ha'Kodesh. They seem to be getting conflicting messages regarding what the Ruach told them. I don't believe that the Ruach Ha'Kodesh gave them conflicting messages. Some of these folks might be led by other spirits. So how might we determine what spirit might be leading us?

The leaders of these churches claim to be led by the Ruach; yet they differ over key points; all claiming to be right. Yahshua is my leader.

Let's see what Yahshua has to say about it.

(CLV) Jn 16:5
Yet now I am going away to Him Who sends Me, and not one of you is asking Me, `Whither art Thou going?'

(CLV) Jn 16:6
But, seeing that I have spoken these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart.

(CLV) Jn 16:7
"But I am telling you the truth. It is expedient for you that I may be coming away, for if I should not be coming away, the consoler will not be coming to you. Now if I should be gone, I will send him to you.

(CLV) Jn 16:8
And, coming, that will be exposing the world concerning sin and concerning righteousness and concerning judging:

What does the Ruach Ha'Kodesh expose? The world! Concerning what? Sin, which is transgression of YHWH's perfect Torah; righteousness, which is acting in accord with YHWH's perfect Torah, and judging. These are the fruits of the Rauch Ha'Kodesh.

(CLV) Jn 16:9
concerning sin, indeed, seeing that they are not believing in Me

The Ruach Ha'Kodesh exposes sin in those who don't believe in Yahshua. Of course if we believe Yahshua's teachings; we are following Yahshua's teachings. When Eve disobeyed YHWH's command; it was because she didn't believe in the consequences of her transgression. She didn't believe YHWH. Yahshua's words are his Father's words.

How many church leaders today, claim to be following the Ruach; yet they aren't exposing the sin of their congregation. That might impact the attendance that fills their coffers. What are they following?

(CLV) Jn 16:10
yet concerning righteousness, seeing that I am going away to My Father, and not longer are you beholding Me;

Righteousness is acting in accord with YHWH's perfect Torah. How many church leaders, who claim to be following the Ruach Ha'Kodesh, are following the Torah, and calling their congregations to do the same? How many are even so much as keeping the seventh day Shabbat? Let alone keeping YHWH's Moedim.

(CLV) Jn 16:11
yet concerning judging, seeing that the Chief of this world has been judged.

How many church leaders, who claim to be following the Ruach Ha'Kodesh, are judging their congregations for their sins? Most will say that "that is a job for the Ruach Ha'Kodesh;" that it isn't their place to judge. If they are led by the Ruach Ha'Kodesh; isn't the Ruach Ha'Kodesh using them as a mouthpiece? If not; why don't they step from behind the podium; and sit down in the pews? They are up front with their mouths open regarding the "feel good" teachings of Messiah; bit that too is a job for the Ruach Ha'Kodesh.

(CLV) Jn 14:26
Now the consoler, the holy spirit, which the Father will be sending in My name, that will be teaching you all, and reminding you of all that I said to you.

If that leader is not a mouthpiece for the Ruach Ha'Kodesh; then why say anything at all? Why the double standard, when it comes to speaking the truth that makes sinners feel conviction?

(CLV) Jn 16:12
"Still much have I to say to you, but you are not able to bear it at present.

(CLV) Jn 16:13
Yet whenever that may be coming—the spirit of truth—it will be guiding you into all the truth, for it will not be speaking from itself, but whatsoever it should be hearing will it be speaking, and of what is coming will it be informing you.

(CLV) Ps 119:142
Your righteousness is eonian righteousness, And Your law is truth.

You make some good points, Hark, as usual. I offer this comment: I do find that the longer people are around Messianic believers, the more they use the terminology of the group. There are a whole bunch of folks out here that aren't necessarily educated on the terminology, so they aren't going to recognize that you are speaking of the Spirit of God Who is Holy and that in addition to the seventh day Sabbath, God Himself offered us other special appointment times to meet with Him, celebrations (which preceded Christmas and Easter- although neither of those two were documented as being initiated by God. The reader might not know to go to Leviticus 23 to see all the list of celebrations God invited us to participate in and for our good actually told us to cooperate if we want that relationship with Him. To be honest, I'm still "out-talked" by my Messianic friends because as soon as I think I've got a handle on the newfangled old terms (most of us grew up with English as our greatest challenge and it shows!) they learn 15 new ones and I have to guess at what they are saying until I can get a translator!

But again, thoughtful post.

Sounds like the stones of a temple.
1 Peter 4:17. For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and
if with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?

Matthew 24:2. And Jesus said to them, “Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

Isaiah 1:9. Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been
as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah.
