Show your evidence for your conspiracy theory, then. Show that painting "IDOL" on a Roman Catholic statue has NO CONNECTION AT ALL to the CENTURIES of protestants accusing the Catholics of being "idolators". Show that no such accusations were ever made by Protestants.

I get it, though, some people want to somehow blame everything that happens on brown people.
Gosh darn golly gee, it looks like your caustic post implicitly assumes that Protestants can't be leftists or that leftists can't use Protestant lingo. I think both assumptions are hopelessly flawed.

(Shaun King still said Christian statues that are white are white supremacy and stuff because reasons)

Show that any Protestants in question are and must be Leftists, then. Show your evidence. Go ahead, show the evidence.

I've never made definitive claims on that subject. Unlike some members I could mention, I'm simply considering possibilities. You know, that rather than instantly dismissing them out of hand.

I can't speak for everyone but I find being open to possibilities to be more beneficial than hollow virtue-signalling. Mind you, there's no accounting for taste.

Show your evidence. Go ahead, show the evidence.

Remember, whenever one wants to make racist claims, merely say that one is "merely considering possibilities", then one can spout all the racism one wants to spout.
Not rushing to judgment is racist now too? Johnnie Cochran must be spinning in his grave.

There’s a lot of anti catholic nonsense in America and has been for over a century . It was so bad during the lead up to the 1960 (JF Kennedy) election that I remember it . I was 6 at the time ! And my family wasn’t mostly Catholic.

But JFK was elected President, so the "anti catholic nonsense in America" didn't make much difference, did it?

JFK was elected president despite anti Catholic opposition . As I’ve said I was 6 and that’s not normally something a child that age would notice. Especially since my parents and most of their friends weren’t Catholic.

It truly is a filthy thing what these people are doing. And unless they are given the grace of repentance to stunt their iniquitous practices they will be subject to the vindictive wrath of an angry and righteous God Who is strict in punishment and quick in its execution. But we should never despair of their salvation, our God is a most merciful Lord and compassionate Redeemer. If He so wills, He may save them but what they are doing is still inexcusable.

I still don't understand why anyone is upset at a lack of public "outrage".
Maybe you should've read the OP closer then.

Meanwhile, people on social media point out the lack of mainstream coverage of the weekend incidents.
The OP was intended to be a critique of the lack of mainstream rage-bait news coverage over the vandalism happening on church property.

It might be helpful if you read posts a little more closely from now on.

It sure did when Smith ran for president against Hoover.

Maybe it has escaped your notice, but a large proportion of the BLM protesters are caucasian.

"Where's the outrage?"

Aren't we called to turn the other cheek and to be forgiving?

Jesus didn't turn the other cheek when the temple guard slapped him across the face during his interrogation before the Sanhedrin.

When he had said this, one of the temple guards standing there struck Jesus and said, “Is this the way you answer the high priest?

Jesus answered him, “If I have spoken wrongly, testify to the wrong; but if I have spoken rightly, why do you strike me?” John 18:22-23

Jesus teaching about turning the other cheek, had to do with the custom of his time in that when a person had done you wrong, you could challenge them to a duel by slapping them on the cheek. If they accepted, the time and place would be determined. Jesus teaching was not to accept the duel, but turn the other cheek.

I think that you are making something up and need to revisit the sermon on the mount. That isn't about the response to a duel.

I provided the Scripture of Jesus response to being unjustly hit by the temple guard.

I also provided the historical context in what Jesus was speaking about when he said to turn the other cheek.

Now, if you're going to throw out the historical context I provided, then Jesus was hypocritical in that he didn't follow his own teaching by not turning the cheek when struck by the temple guard.

Yep, but it wasn't the one where Jesus was using the phrase, "turn the other cheek", which I spoke of. That would Matthew 5
38. Ye have heard that it was said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:
39. but I say unto you, resist not him that is evil: but whosoever smiteth thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.
40.And if any man would go to law with thee, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also.

Now, I could list all of the other items which Jesus gave but none were about a duel. It was about our response to the evil which we face. The verse that you gave shows Jesus being struck but we don't know all that he did in response but he didn't return anger which the OP is about.
I also provided the historical context in what Jesus was speaking about when he said to turn the other cheek.
No you didn't. You gave your opinion about what he was speaking about but there is nothing in any of the verses from the Sermon which backs up your opinion.

No you didn't. You gave your opinion about what he was speaking about but there is nothing in any of the verses from the Sermon which backs up your opinion.

Again you're misinterpreting what Jesus spoke of.

Remember Jesus here:

“Either declare the tree good and its fruit is good, or declare the tree rotten and its fruit is rotten, for a tree is known by its fruit. You brood of vipers, how can you say good things when you are evil? For from the fullness of the heart the mouth speaks. I tell you, on the day of judgment people will render an account for every careless word they speak. " Matthew 12:33-37

Doesn't seem like Jesus was letting his enemies off the hook here, but even stated that they were evil and the day of judgement would be upon them.
