Jesus was a Jew, he taught the Jewish law and commands, He never stated he was God , but did declare he was God’s Son. He also said the God’s Spirit was given as a gift to those who believed in him. It was and is the Christian church theologians who put Jesus as being God, what he taught was each of us has the potential to having God within us just as he had. The leaders of both the Jews and Christians have never wanted to see that every Christians is really a converted ‘True Jew’.

So what makes a ‘True Jew’?
It is too simply, A person who loves God with all their heart, all their mind, all their soul and all their strength.

Love your Farther God like that and you become part his family. Once you love like that then you will want to love your neighbour as yourself, you will want to conform to God’s Ways and do everything that will put a smile onto God’s face. He loved his Son Jesus and therefore we all need to love him too. Hate and rejection has led to a barrier between Jew, Christin and indeed Muslin and that is something that displeases Our Creator and law giver.

The more complex you make loving God the further away from God’s ways you become.

Therefore remember that formerly you, the Gentiles in the flesh, who are called “Uncircumcision” by the so-called “Circumcision,” which is performed in the flesh by human hands— remember that you were at that time separate from Christ, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall, by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, which is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, so that in Himself He might make the two into one new man, thus establishing peace, and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by it having put to death the enmity. And He came and preached peace to you who were far away, and peace to those who were near; for through Him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father.

He never stated he was God , but did declare he was God’s Son.

Yes He did ... and the Jews of the time accused Him of being demonic because of doing so.

John 8

58 Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.”

Exodus 3:14

English Standard Version
God said to Moses, “ I AM WHO I AM.” And he said, “Say this to the people of Israel: ‘ I AM has sent me to you.’”

So what makes a ‘True Jew’?

It is too simply, A person who loves God with all their heart, all their mind, all their soul and all their strength.

Jews are blood ancestors (lineage) of Abraham (from the tribe of Judah) .... all are made children of God through the blood of Christ.

Galatians 3:27-28

27For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ
Jesus. 29And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed and heirs according to the promise.…

All (believers) become children of God and all become one through Christ.

Yes, he did. And in several different ways.

It was and is the Christian church theologians who put Jesus as being God, what he taught was each of us has the potential to having God within us just as he had.
That's also incorrect.

Another poster has already pointed out that this POV is incorrect, but I am wondering if you want to restructure your post and your question with this change in mind. (?)

Lord Jesus certainly claimed to be God. He also stated that He was man. That's why the leaders of the Jews chose to crucify Him. His "crime" was blasphemy, except the charge was baseless. Lord Jesus was who He said that He was.

Actually, no, it doesn't, and it's more simple than even that, but you are complicating it now for those who are seeking solid answers. That may sound pretty and all, and might even get you a few points for wisdom but only from certain people. The facts are the fact, and the following tells what a "true" jew is.

QUOTE="eleos1954, post: 75263546, member: 404063"]Jews are blood decedents of Abraham (from the tribe of Judah)[/QUOTE]

Thank you.

I know you mean well and I see you consider yourself a preacher, but if you don't mind a little of what I consider constructive criticism, act less like a preacher and more like someone who teaches clear facts from the bible, The absolute truth is all people need.

BTW, I think you did a great job at describing a true Christian. :)

Except, of course, Jesus absolutely does claim to be God, His Divinity is declared throughout the New Testament by the Apostles and the Evangelists. Christ's teaching was not that we have the potential of having God within us, He preached and proclaimed the Kingdom of God, that the Messiah must suffer for the sins of the world and die, and then rise on the third day, and that the preaching of forgiveness of sins in His name are to go out to all the nations.

No, Christians are not "true Jews". Christians are those, whether Jewish or not Jewish (Gentiles) who believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Lord, the Son of God. Christianity is what Christ gave the Apostles, and the Apostles proclaimed, taught, and practiced, preaching the Gospel of Jesus to both Jews and Gentiles.

Throughout the history of Christ's Church there have arisen, time and again, the need to defend the truth of Christ and what the Apostles taught against innovative, errant opinions, i.e. heresy. And it is precisely in that context, in confessing true faith against error, that we have the writings of the fathers, the Creeds and Councils of the Church, and confessions of faith right down to the modern era.

So what makes a ‘True Jew’?

The Nicene Creed
We believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, of all things seen and unseen.

We believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God of God, Light of Light, true God of true God, begotten, not made, of one-Being with the Father; through Him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation He came down from heaven and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became human. For our sake He was crucified under Pontius Pilate, He suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and His kingdom will have no end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the Giver-of-life, who proceeds from the Father [and the Son], who with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.

We believe in one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church.
We confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins,
And we look forward to the resurrection of the dead,
And the life of the Age to Come.
Amen.
