Beautiful Creation

Beautiful swallows enjoying their flight and fun,a lovely sight!

House Martins are related to swallows. They will soon be migrating in the Autumn. What tremendous stamina they have to be able to fly thousands of miles!

Cuckoos are strange birds who lay an egg in another bird's nest and destroy the existing eggs there leaving the occupant bird to pay attention to the cuckoo egg.

'Does the HAWK take flight by your wisdom and spread its' wings to the South?' (Job 39:26)

'Does the EAGLE sour at your command and build its' nest on high? It dwells on a cliff and stays there at night. A rocky crag is its' stronghold. From there it looks for food,its' eyes detect it from afar' (Job 39:27-29)

In the early summer we hear the WOODPECKERS tapping in the trees in the countryside. Not so easy during lockdown!

'The BIRDS of the sky nest by the waters. They sing among the branches' (Psalms 104:12)

'In them the BIRDS build their nests,the STORK has its home in the fir trees' (Psalms 104:17)

'Let the water teem with living creatures and let BIRDS fly above the earth across the vaults of the sky' (Genesis 1:20)

'So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living thing with which the water teems and that moves about in it,according to their kinds and every winged BIRD according to its' kind' (Genesis 1:21)

'God blessed them and said,'Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas (fish and sea creatures) and let the BIRDS increase on the earth' (Genesis 1:22)

'Then God said,'Let us make mankind in our image,in our likeness,so that they may rule over the fish of the sea and the BIRDS in the sky,over the livestock and all the wild animals and over all the creatures that move along the ground,according to their kinds and God that it was good' (Genesis 1:26)
