And meanwhile the critical illness or death rate for COVID-19 OUTSIDE of nursing homes has been overinflated. People shot and killed or died in car wrecks have been listed as COVID-19 hospitalizations and/or deaths.
Another good example is every year, since I was 17, I have been hearing at least once a year during the summer about an infection from a brain-eating amoeba that thrives in warm, unchlorinated or inadequately chlorinated, freshwater. This year, last month, someone in Florida got infected with the brain eating amoeba from swimming in a lake. Since almost everyone infected with this brain eating amoeba dies within 14 days from infection, I'm assuming that this Florida case this year has died. It's just that doctors have, maybe intentionally with a political motivation, listed that death as caused by COVID-19 instead.
