So how do you believe science's globe earth and still say you believe the creation account given to man by God in Genesis 1. Because they are not in agreement.
God speaks of creating a heaven and earth no mention of an outer space/universe and actually there is throughout the Bible not one single mention of God creating a universe.
In Genesis 1:6 God creates a raqia (dome) that divides waters
Genesis 1:7 the raqia (dome) is seen as separating waters, waters below the raqia and waters above the raqia (dome)
In Genesis 1:8 the dome is called heaven (the sky) By God.
In Genesis 1:9 God gathers the waters into one place (and not many oceans scattered over a globe). With the dry land (as in a single piece of land) appearing, and that land is one piece of land not land as in different continents. So there is a single large piece of land surrounded by water.
Genesis 1:14 God creates lights and places these light in the raqia (dome) of the heavens. These light also have a time keeping purpose.
Genesis 1:15 states these lights are created also to give light on the earth. Nothing is said about these lights lighting up an outer space or even other planets (which in The Bible there is no mention of God creating a planet, only the sun, moon and stars)
Genesis 1:16 states that God created two great lights, again that is lights, not a great light and a large rock that reflects the suns light. The moon is a created light by God.
Genesis 1:17 these lights are stated to be place (by God) in the raqia (dome) that is over the earth, and again it is stated they are to give light on the earth.
