I watch the Hill aka "The Rising" which is a good news show that tries to give a perspective not swayed by the usual bias on the Big Networks. I did not take them long to come up with a video on the pic which sounded almost like a political attack add. (I'm guessing that was written Saager Engeti. I can't see Krystal Ball having that opinion.)

Biden taps Kamala Harris as running mate, setting aside tensions from primary

This is a landmark decision - Harris is female, 1/2 Black American, 1/2 Asian American, daughter of immigrants!

Assuming that Biden may chose not to run for a 2nd term, Harris will be given a high profile as Vice President to position herself as the heir-apparent Democratic presidential nominee in 2024!

Conservative and Republicans should be doing the happy dance!

Quote from Link:

Despite Harris’s recent bump in New Hampshire following her performance at the first Democratic debate, data in a recently released CNN/UNH Survey Center poll of likely New Hampshire voters found good favorability numbers for both Warren and Harris (67 percent for Warren, 54 percent for Harris). But when pollsters asked, “Which Democratic candidate do you think is most likable?” the numbers for both women were bleak.

Just 4 percent of likely voters polled said they found Warren “likable,” and 5 percent said the same about Harris. The candidates they liked better were all men: 20 percent found both Vice President Joe Biden and Sen. Bernie Sanders likable, while 18 percent found South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg likable. (Warren’s favorability rating was the same as Sanders’s and higher than either Biden’s or Buttigieg’s.)
Democratic voters - only 5% find her likable.

Good job Joe! Thanks for making it easy.

But that is only my opinion...

Ah, so the corrupt woman who went against David Daleidan with fraudulent , anti-journalist, charges... is his running mate. Because picking someone who has used her position to break the law to go against journalists is totally who we want as VP.

Unlike the President, Biden doesn't have a history of throwing those with whom he has had opposing opinions "under the bus!"

Given that at least 50% of the electorate are female, what is there about Donald Trump and Mike Pence that American women can identify?

No Joe likes them too much (creepy imho)

This is the first time in our history a woman of color has run as vp - my goodness, how did that 50% of the electorate vote before?

They can identify with something other than mere genitalia perhaps? Or are you saying women can only identify with their genitals? I think that's sexist.

Let's hear what they might be.

She has experience in all three levels of government:
District Attorney for San Francisco
Attorney General for California
US Senator for California.

What does Harris bring to this ticket? She's a 3% primary candidate that couldn't get the support of blacks and is from a state that is guaranteed to vote Biden. She isn't well liked by the progressive base because of her pro-police history as California's lock em up attorney general. Maybe that will play well with suburban white voters but any gain there is going to be offset by blacks who stay home.
