YHWH is not a name

Yes, it is:

Psalms 83:18: that they may know that you alone, whose name is יהוה (YHWH), are the Most High over all the earth.

Exodus 6:3: I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, as God Almighty, but by my name יהוה (YHWH) I did not make myself known to them.

They want to marry the president? Sorry is that some kind of typo?

It is somewhere in the Old Testament. "Thou shalt not marry the President."

I'm not going to make a fuss about transliterating the Hebrew letter ו as V or W, although the sound in ancient Hebrew was almost certainly W.

But God's name in the Old Testament is certainly יהוה, however you transliterate it.

I have seen pagan witches who pretend to be spiritual, but want only evil things to happen to you.
I have seen christians who pretend to be good but want to marry president.
I have seen christian pastors who pretend to be advanced in spirituality and even call falsely themselves priests but all their heart is pure hate against neighbour.
So it is not so ok to judge based on religion.
What do you think of other religions?
John 7:24 teaches us to judge with righteous judgment, meaning we judge againsy the light of scripture. For Christians this is absolutely acceptable. We must judge all religions against Jesus statement that no one comes to the father except through me. If people in the church are committing sin we must first consult God's law to see if a sin has actually been committed and then we must follow Matthew 18.

All religions are man made methods of worship of some superior being or concept.

Even Christian "religious denominations" are concepts developed by men to try to worship our creator and savior.

Jesus.... did not want "religion"... He wanted a relationship, disciples, people to live as He did and tell the world of His great work so that they may have eternal life.

The whole purpose of God creating the world was to have intelligent beings, who choose to love Him, so He could have fellowship with them.

It was not to create a religion..

All religions and religious denominations have flaws, errors and can easily be used to make monetary gains or excuses for other sinful concepts.

Know that your creator and savior are real. Strive to be like Christ. Accept that you are never going to achieve eternal life on your own.. only through Christ work on the cross. Accept that you are a sinner. Ask for salvation... Try to live as like Christ..

not at all ... if God had a name do you not think the writers of the new testament would have used it ?

What do you mean "if"? Didn't you read the Bible passages I quoted?

By N.T. times, of course, that name was being replaced by κύριος, even in O.T. quotes.

... but your posts are so disruptive that I'm just going to put you on ignore.

It is in the book of Foreward (which comes before Genesis). ;)

All religions are mans attempt to reach God on their own merits, so all religions (including Christian religion) are false religions.

Christianity is a relatiosnhship and is worked out in what the world calls a religion.

But If one is not trusting in Jesus' death, burial and resurrection for their sin debt, it doesn't matter a whit how "nice" they may be, they are lost. Even people who call themselves Christians or 3even pastors may not be saved (that is for God to decide). And Christians who are saved are still just as capapble of having a season where their lives stink and one could not tell them apart from a hard practicing sinner.

But all religions that do not place Christ first and foremost and his death and resurrection as the only way to be saved is false no matter how "nice" their followers may be.

We (humans) are all messed up .... it's called sin ... sin is an individual thing and the Lord deals with us individually ... only God knows the heart ... and no ... we shouldn't judge others. If Jesus isn't the center of the "religion" then it's a false religion according to Christianity.

First, I think all Christian churches are full of sinners like you and me.
Second, I don't understand your second observation about marrying "president." What president?
Third, I don't attend church because of the people there, but I attend because the true God of the Bible is there through his Word that is proclaimed.
Fourth, we must discern sin but love all sinners instead of judging and condemning them.

you sure its not spelled Kyrios or Theos seeing the new testament is written in Greek ...
Kyrios is the generic Greek word for lord. Theos is the generic Greek word for god. They are not names.
Jewish Encyclopedia-Names of God
In appearance, Yhwh (יהוה) is the third person singular imperfect "kal" of the verb ( הוה ("to be"), meaning, therefore, "He is," or "He will be," or, perhaps, "He lives," the root idea of the word being, probably, "to blow," "to breathe," and hence, "to live." With this explanation agrees the meaning of the name given in Ex. iii. 14, where God is represented as speaking, and hence as using the first person—"I am" (אהיה, from ( היה, the later equivalent of the archaic stem ( הוה). The meaning would, therefore, be "He who is self-existing, self-sufficient," or, more concretely, "He who lives," the abstract conception of pure existence being foreign to Hebrew thought. There is no doubt that the idea of life was intimately connected with the name Yhwh from early times. He is the living God, as contrasted with the lifeless gods of the heathen, and He is the source and author of life (comp. I Kings xviii.; Isa. xli. 26-29, xliv. 6-20; Jer. x. 10, 14; Gen. ii. 7; etc.). So familiar is this conception of God to the Hebrew mind that it appears in the common formula of an oath, "hai Yhwh" ( חי־יהוה = "as Yhwh lives"; Ruth iii. 13; I Sam. xiv. 45; etc.).

If the explanation of the form above given be the true one, the original pronunciation must have been Yahweh ((יהוה) or Yahaweh (יהוה). From this the contracted form Jah or Yah (יה ) is most readily explained, and also the forms Jeho or Yeho (יהו ), and Jo or Yo (יו contracted from יהו , which the word assumes in combination in the first part of compound proper names, and Yahu or Yah (יהו ) in the second part of such names. The fact may also be mentioned that in Samaritan poetry יהוה rimes with words similar in ending to Yahweh, and Theodoret ("Quæst. 15 in Exodum") states that the Samaritans pronounced the name Iαβέ. Epiphanius ascribes the same pronunciation to an early Christian sect. Clement of Alexandria, still more exactly, pronounces 'Iαουέ or 'Iαουαί, and Origen, 'Iα. Aquila wrote the name in archaic Hebrew letters. In the Jewish-Egyptian magic-papyri it appears as Ιαωουηε. At least as early as the third century B.C. the name seems to have been regarded by the Jews as a "nomen ineffabile," on the basis of a somewhat extreme interpretation of Ex. xx. 7 and Lev. xxiv. 11 (see Philo, "De Vita Mosis," iii. 519, 529). Written only in consonants, the true pronunciation was forgotten by them. The Septuagint, and after it the New Testament, invariably render κύριος ("the Lord").

Every time I turn around there seems to be word play going on in the Bible that has a certain significance. It seems like they were much craftier in literature than we are.
