Jerry Falwell Jr. coming apart at the seams (ETA: taking a leave from Liberty (resigns, maybe))

Sounds legit except for the black water and 'wife's assistant' resembling Sarah's handmaid Hagar. Then again that is what happens when the Gospel of the Kingdom is converted into a worldly institution full of the vices of mankind. He's not the first to fall nor will be the last. Wonder if any will fall from the evangelical ranks with the Epstein investigation.

Still sounds like an awkward swinger party.

Dancing and drinking with the ladies is FUN, people. So I dont know what the problem is.

Much of what he does is not a problem morally--it's just that he aligns with a version of morality that makes him a hypocrite.

Perhaps he has a problem properly expressing himself like another president we know.

A hypocrite, but also a doofus. Can you imagine Larry Summers or Drew Faust (former presidents of Harvard) posting pics like that?

Jerry Falwell Jr., the president of Liberty University, has agreed to take an "indefinite leave of absence," according to a statement Friday from the evangelical Christian university.

The leave of absence is effective immediately, the statement said. The school's board of trustees made the request of Falwell. The board of trustees did not provide a reason for Falwell's leave in its statement.

Falwell Jr. has decided that admitting to being a cuckold (and blaming his affair on that) is preferable to admitting Falwell had a consensual affair with another woman.

I guess we now know that Falwell Jr. thinks a biblical marriage is between a woman and the pool boy while her husband watches from the corner of the room.

He ought to just give it up and bury himself into obscurity before he does any more damage....but people like him don't do that. What a shame.

Maybe this is mean of me, but.... yes I do rejoice at the downfall of moralizing blowhards who see fit to tell everyone else how to live.

I'm not opposed to morality clauses for particular jobs where the person is in the public eye.
School teachers, sports professionals, and other positions that are in the public eye.

And Jr broke his morality clauses.

I guarantee that any professor at the University would have been fired without recourse if they had been photographed in such a position.

It's over...it's just a question of when and not what.
