I'm done with politics. It has had a detrimental spiritual impact on me. I still stand for what I know is right and I'll still vote, but I am not going to debate and/or fight anymore. And I'm staying away from anything that would be a trigger for me.

Perceived ongoing injustice is something that can create resentment over time and festers into great bitterness and ultimately wrath. Doesn't matter which side you're on... everyone is so angry because they perceive injustice..and for some it becomes bitterness and then becomes wrath.

You ever wonder why the basement dweller eventually get the gun? It festers and consumes. It's why people take to the streets to do violence. It's why people say and do the most horrible things in the name of justice. Begin to devalue the lives on other side and they become nothing more than a "problem" in need of being "solved".

The world is eat up with it. I'm done.

Yeah, only Jesus coming back and setting up His righteous Kingdom will make every thing good. And notice that Jesus will not set up a "lefteous" Kingdom. :) But I digress.

What I do is limit my news watching, and we don't have cable TV, we just watch Utube for free.
Take in a little bit of news just to keep up (cause it's all bad), get out and vote ( right only please), :) and don't worry about it! Give it to God.

See liberals worry about everything and want everyone to be in the pity party with them- they want to control your life. Don't let them or the evil one steal your joy! The joy of the Lord is your strength! Believe it and live it.

1When Jesus saw the crowds, He went up on the mountain; and after He sat down, His disciples came to Him. 2He opened His mouth and began to teach them, saying,

3“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

4“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.

5“Blessed are the gentle, for they shall inherit the earth.

6“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.

7“Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.

8“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.

9“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.

10“Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11“Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. 12“Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

25“For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26“Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they? 27“And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life? 28“And why are you worried about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin, 29yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these. 30“But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith! 31“Do not worry then, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear for clothing?’ 32“For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33“But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

34“So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Yes .... and the bitterness and hatred is driven by politicians and the news media .... why people allow themselves to be used and led into violence, chaos and hatred (from these entities) is beyond me.

You are correct ... decide who you think will best lead the country ... go vote ... and be done with it. ;o)

Thank you for this.

It is especially troubling times for me because I was raised in poverty...both my parents smoked crack. I experienced a lot of racism as I was often the only white boy around. Even as an adult the deck has really been stacked against me though God is helping me.

What creates the most animosity in me is the sheer audacity of the elite. Gated white community types who call me "privileged". They've hijacked our media an academic institutions and have set themselves up as defacto morality vanguard over everyone. They are sickeningly over privileged and evil. And it's the poor whites that have to live around the minorities who are incited against them, which breeds more resentment. These elites preach and virtue signal from their bubble and have no right to stick their finger in the face of the poor of any color. They racialize everything .They divide and keep conquered. They make me sick.

I have to pray for them constantly to keep myself from being so overwhelmed by anger. I have decided to ignore everything but the things I can reach out and touch.

I honestly looked for the most relevant section to post it in. I feel I made the best decision considering the content... it has to do with politics .So I feel your insulting tone is unwarranted.

There are people you can talk to that are trained professionals. They are very busy right now due to the added stress of today's world. Please avail yourself of some help.

Hang in there Brother! God wins in the end and we are on His team! I'll shoot a prayer up for ya Bro..Hold fast, be joyful!

2Now I appeal to Euodia and Syntyche. Please, because you belong to the Lord, settle your disagreement. 3And I ask you, my true partner,b to help these two women, for they worked hard with me in telling others the Good News. They worked along with Clement and the rest of my co-workers, whose names are written in the Book of Life.

4Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice! 5Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon.c

6Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

8And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. 9Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.

Much of the resentment and bitterness at has to do with offenses and unforgiveness. When you see or hear something that triggers this it is like opening the wound again. Your approach to limiting the opportunities of offense is good, but you never can rid yourself from everything. I also suggest that one can also pray through the things that bother you. Cast the cares to God each time you are reminded of an injustice. Ask the Holy Spirit to create in you a clean heart, one that understands the issues from God's perspective and love.

...true. And there are entire media empires making $ exploiting or even increasing that perception.

Turn off cable news. Talk radio. And all the other noise designed to agitate and divide people.

Wow. Such a display of charity, compassion, openness and tolerance. A shining example of the left's true values.

Keep up the good work. Let all see who leftists really are.

Stay strong, Sam. Don't give in. Nothing would please them more. The days of the 'silent majority' are over. It's time to speak your mind. I know how frustrating it can get, but we must fight the good fight. Take a little break, then come back.

No more silence, because silence = compliance.

Here is the thing: it's useless to think we will stop the world from being evil. The Bible says it will continue to get worse and worse. Eventually, Christians will be overcome completely and wiped out. Then judgement will come upon the whole world.

The only thing to do is live for Jesus and try to save as many as we can as the ship sinks.

Oh, goody. I get to be everything you've ever hated about the left! How wonderfully convenient that must be...

Maybe if we treated people more like people and not as excuses for our own prejudices, folks like @Sam81 might stick around...

But if he chooses not to, that's his business; he's a big boy, and responsible for his own thoughts and actions. Who's responsible for yours?
