The war before God destroys Gog.

Ezekiel 38:8 NIV: After many days you will be called to arms. In future years you will invade a land that has recovered from war, whose people were gathered from many nations to the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate. They had been brought out from the nations, and now all of them live in safety.

Ezekiel speaks of a war which the earth has to recover from before Gog invades Israel. There are not many wars that can damage the land itself but this one does.

How many people have studied this war that takes place before Gog invades?

I'm sure there are many expert prophecy teachers just itching to quote many verses talking about the war that destroys the land of Israel before Gog invades.

I will give you a hint.
After the war the land of Israel is given to a nation bringing forth the fruit. A peaceful people who have no need for defences. And no one can take the kingdom away from them. Forever.

IMO, Gog is just another name for the AC/Beast. His armies come from the North of Israel, Just like in Daniel 11. All prophecies point to a one time fulfillment during the DOTL, ending with Armageddon. It is then "finished", and all the nations and Israel will then know God, the curse will be lifted off the earth and Jesus will reign in mount Zion and nations will learn war no more.

The view that this happens before Armageddon does not line up with what the Bible teaches, IMO. God will not be known by both Jews and Gentiles until after He takes possession of the earth and Kingdom over in Israel on Mount Zion.

Short and sweet.

There is much written about this war.

You talking about the little horn in Dan. 8:21-27? Yes, Iran and Turkey will go at it soon, IMO. The little horn will arise from this war, then the covenant just before Gog invades.

I take those verses above to be just before the Gog evades. IMO, they are living safely because of the covenant of Daniel 9:27, and also 11, from verse 21 on, IMO. He be that little horn in Dan 8. It will actually be a covenant with death, Isa. 28.

I believe Iran and Turkey will go at it soon, then the little horn arises- Dan 8. The prophecy has a near and far fulfillment it seems, just like parts of Daniel.

27“And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; and on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate, even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate.”

There will be another big Middle Eastern war, but Israel will escape this. It is the war that the little horn will arise out of. He will get very powerful in a short time. Gog/little horn invades after a covenant is made with Israel and others. This is how I see it going down.

The Gog and Magog of Rev 20 is a different event. Fire comes down and devours them, and it is 1000 years in between, and Jesus has to come back first. The reference to Gog and Magog will of the enemies of God that Satan will gather when he is released from the pit. Similar, but not the same as before the MK.

Just like events in Daniel, some had historical fulfillment that would be similar to events in the future, a type or foreshadow, we get into trouble if we don't see this in the Scriptures. And sometimes a gap can be like 2000 years- like Luke 4:14-21 & Isa. 61:1-2. He stopped before He read, "And the day of vengeance of our God". Many times we can't determine a gap until after the fact.

We await this, the day of the Lord. So this verse shows that there are "gaps" in time used in the Scriptures- just like the 70th week that everyone argues over. Mostly because it don't fit their system of interpretation and what the Church is, our is not.

According to revelation, Gog invades Israel 1000 years after the beast is destroyed at Armegeddon.

They built thier walls to protect themselves because they didn't feel safe.
And from what I've read they are not safe. Alot of people are going to be surprised when God doesn't protect Israel in the next war. In fact God will raise the spirits of the those who will destroy the Israeli government and its people because they persecute his saints.

I think it pretty well has now. They were gathered after WW2, worked the land, drained swamps, they had a lot of wars in a short time. The next war will be when the little horn invades, IMO. But we will see.

Israel utterly humiliated Syria, Jordan, and Egypt in six days and captured the seven heads.

Daniel 7:24 NIV: The ten horns are ten kings who will come from this kingdom. After them another king will arise, different from the earlier ones; he will subdue three kings.

The next major war is Armegeddon when all ten nations rise up and attack Jerusalem(the prostitute). They capture Jerusalem just before the Lord comes.
The Lamb will then destroy those nations that have come against Jerusalem.
