That's amusing, faced with the options of (a) spiritual or (b) physical interpretation, you chose the latter. To go that path, my friend, is to choose death over life, for only the spirit gives life.

 what the heck? .. maybe this will help...

The Lake of Fire is not a physical thing, any more than death is a tangible object. This is visionary apocalyptic writing, which was 'signified' to John by the angel (Rev 1:1). Signs, as in symbolic and allegorical, not the earthly and literal. That is the movement of direction of scripture.

I see now... Its all make believe.

I can just picture Jesus screaming out on the Cross... "This allegorically hurts!"

The Bible speaks of the reality of hell in the same terms as the reality of heaven (Revelation 20:14–15; 21:1–2). In fact, Jesus spent more time warning people about the dangers of hell than He did in comforting them with the hope of heaven. The concept of a real, conscious, forever-and-ever existence in hell is just as biblical as a real, conscious, forever-and-ever existence in heaven. Trying to separate them is simply not possible from a biblical standpoint.

Despite the Bible’s clear teaching of both heaven and hell, it is not unusual for people to believe in the reality of heaven while rejecting the reality of hell. In part, this is due to wishful thinking. It’s easier to accept the idea of a “nice” afterlife, but damnation isn’t quite so appealing. This is the same mistake human beings often make when it comes to substance abuse, dangerous behaviors, and so forth. The assumption that we will get what we want overrides the unpleasant (but rational) view that things might not end well.

Rejection of the existence of hell can also be blamed on inaccurate assumptions about what hell is. Hell is frequently imagined as a burning wasteland, a dungeon full of cauldrons and pitchforks, or an underground city filled with ghosts and goblins. Popular depictions of hell often involve a flaming torture chamber or a spiritual jail where evil things reside—and where good things travel to battle evil. This version of hell does not exist. There is a real place called hell, but it is not the Dante’s Inferno image most people think of. Certain details about hell are given in the Bible, but those details do not match the popular myths.

The Bible actually gives very few particulars about hell. We know that it was originally intended for demonic spiritual beings, not people (Matthew 25:41). The experience of being in hell is compared to burning (Mark 9:43; 9:48; Matthew 18:9; Luke 16:24). At the same time, hell is compared to darkness (Matthew 22:13) and associated with intense grief (Matthew 8:12) and horror (Mark 9:44).

In short, the Bible tells us only what being in hell is “like”; it does not explicitly say what hell is or how exactly it functions. What the Bible does make clear is that hell is real, eternal, and to be avoided at all costs (Matthew 5:29–30). got ?'s

hope this helps !!!

I see now... Its all make believe.

I can just picture Jesus screaming out on the Cross... "This allegorically hurts!"

Now now. I suggest you grasp the figures of speech that equate qualitative things to physical things. So the riches of His grace, fine linen, the blood of the Lamb etc. These are tangible metaphors for intangible qualities.

God doesn't give us a stone instead of a fish, He gives us the chief cornerstone and teaches us to be fishers of men.

Getting it?

out-of-context

No, they're consistent with their context:

No longer shall your name be called Abram, But your name shall be Abraham; For I will make you the father of a multitude of nations.
(Gen 17:5)

Context - God promises the world to Abraham for being a stand-up guy.

I have sworn by Myself, The word has gone forth from My mouth in righteousness And will not turn back, That to Me every knee will bow, every tongue will swear allegiance. (Isa 45:23)

Context - God promises Cyrus that all the nations of the earth will come to Him and be saved.

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. (Jn 3:16-17)

Context - John reveals the heart of God and clarifies that Jesus is come to save the world from its perishing in sin.

Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy; For ALL THE NATIONS WILL COME AND WORSHIP BEFORE YOU, FOR YOUR RIGHTEOUS ACTS HAVE BEEN REVEALED." (Rev 15:4)

Context - the end times, the Jews and Christians unite in the revelation that God is saving everyone by His righteousness.

Behold, I am making all things new! (Rev 21:5)

Context - God is making all things new at the end of the age.

The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it. (Rev 21:24)

On either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. (Rev 22:2)

Context - the nations are in the new earth and walk in peace and love.

When all things are subjected to Him, then the Son Himself also will be subjected to the One who subjected all things to Him, so that God may be all in all. (1 Cor 15:28)

Context - Paul encourages us with the Christian hope that God's salvation will fill the world.

No, they're consistent with their context:
No longer shall your name be called Abram, But your name shall be Abraham; For I will make you the father of a multitude of nations. (Gen 17:5)
Context - God promises the world to Abraham for being a stand-up guy.
Here is what UR-ites cannot seem to comprehend. Yes, taken in isolation the context is correct for that instant/situation but when one takes all these verses jams them together as if they formed one continuous they have ignored the context.
I have sworn by Myself, The word has gone forth from My mouth in righteousness And will not turn back, That to Me every knee will bow, every tongue will swear allegiance. (Isa 45:23)
Context - God promises Cyrus that all the nations of the earth will come to Him and be saved.
I have addressed this out-of-context verse multiple times my discussion has NEVER been addressed or refuted. Yes every knee will bow some in faith and love but many will be conquered enemies as Jesus' footstool. UR-ites would have us believe that these conquered enemies after they have been tossed into the LOF will then be filled with love and warm fuzzies for God. Just like criminals in this world do.
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. (Jn 3:16-17)
Context - John reveals the heart of God and clarifies that Jesus is come to save the world from its perishing in sin.
But it is conditional and you continue to ignore the condition that Jesus clearly stated ""whoever believes in Him." Where does Jesus say that those who do not believe in Him will have eternal life? You also ignore the following verse.

John 3:18
18 Anyone who believes in him is not judged. But anyone who does not believe is judged already. He has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.
There are no nations in the grave/hell/LOF. Those nations are the ones still existing at the time.
Behold, I am making all things new! (Rev 21:5)
Context - God is making all things new at the end of the age.
Out-of-context because you ignore vs. 8 After God makes all things new vs. 5 three vss. later God tosses 8 groups of people into the LOF which is still the second death even after "no more death" vs. 4.

Rev 21:8 But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death."
The only way the UR agenda can work is to claim John got it wrong vs. 8 should be before vss. 4 and 5.
Out-of-context. There are no nations in the grave/hell/LOF only dead bodies. This refers only to the nations which exist at the time.
When all things are subjected to Him, then the Son Himself also will be subjected to the One who subjected all things to Him, so that God may be all in all. (1 Cor 15:28)
Context - Paul encourages us with the Christian hope that God's salvation will fill the world.
The same writer Paul, in the same writing 1 Cor also said

1 Corinthians 6:9-10
(9) Or do you not know that wrongdoers will NOT inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men
(10) nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.
When Paul wrote chap 15 did he forget what he had written in chap. 6?
Paul also wrote.

Galatians 5:19-21
(19) The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery;
(20) idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions
(21) and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will NOT inherit the kingdom of God.
Ephesians 5:5
(5) For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a person is an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
1 Corinthians 3:17
(17) If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy that person; for God's temple is sacred, and you together are that temple.

So when demons shudder? Its a metaphor they fear about?

You act like you are talking to two year olds who need fairy tales. Hell is REAL! The inability to cope with that reality is also real in some.

If everyone does not love Jesus, it's only because everyone has not met him yet.

Matthew 4? Job 1? Satan has met Jesus plenty of times. Run from t:angel:hat!

I pray you will find out what being filled with the Holy Spirit causes to be made known in a believer.

If you can't handle the pressure.... stay out of the battle. Don't become a part of it, working for the other side.

This is the standard heterodox ploy, when scripture as written contradicts their doctrines they resort to what I call SPAM-Fig, i.e. symbolic, poetic, allegory, metaphor, figurative. To make scripture fit their doctrine then it must be SPAM-fig anything but literal.
There is a an old maxim about interpreting scripture. "If the plain sense makes good sense it is nonsense to seek any other sense."
The problem with Spam-Fig approach is Jewish figures of speech would not have been understood by former pagan Christians in Rome, Corinth, Galatia, Ephesus, Colossae, Philippi, Thessalonika etc. Italians in Rome would not understand figures of speech by Greeks in Corinth and Asians in Ephesus and vice versa.
So each group plays word games with scripture creating all kinds of scenarios from a modern, western perspective inventing their own meaning which just happens to line up with their 21st century doctrines Just so much smoke and mirrors.

To the secular mind..its referred to as.. "Poetic license." It does not have to make sense to say it. What matters, is how it makes you feel to say it....

They are not dealing with Truth. They are dealing with mere concepts as far as they are concerned.

Romans 14:9
For this very reason, Christ died and returned to life so that he might be the Lord of both the dead and the living.

Philippians 2:10-11
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.

Note on "acknowledge" in Philippians 2:11 from Strong's Concordance
S1843 eksomologéō (from 1537 /ek, "wholly out from," intensifying 3670 /homologéō, "say the same thing about") – properly, fully agree and to acknowledge that agreement openly (whole-heartedly); hence, to confess ("openly declare"), without reservation (no holding back)

Doesn't say the unrepentant dead.

11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,

Contrary to what UR-its say, scripture does NOT say that all mankind will bow "in reverent love for their Maker." etc.
exomologeō occurs eleven times in the NT, in addition to Phil 2:11.
Edited to add: In Philippians 2:11 exomologeō is an aorist, active, subjunctive. The subjunctive is the mood of possibility, and potentiality. The action may/may not occur. Every knee should bow not "will bow."
In the other 10 it never means “
whole-heartedly… without reservation (no holding back)”etc.
Matthew 3:6 “confessing their sins,” Matthew 11:25 “thank,” Mark 1:5 “confessing their sins,” Luke 10:21 “thank,” Luke 22:6 “promised,” Acts of the apostles 19:18 “confessed their deeds,” Romans 14:11 “confess,” Romans 15:9 “confess Christ,” James 5:16 “confess your faults,” Revelation 3:5 “confess his name”
…..Scripture says that every knee will bow but only believers will do so freely, willingly in love and faith, the others will be conquered enemies. How will the enemies of Jesus feel?
Matthew 7:21-23
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day,(fn) Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.[(fn) "That day" -the day of judgment.]
After judgment there are no more chances for reconciliation.
The word of God says every knee will bow. It must be important because it is repeated 3 times.

1. Isaiah 45:23 I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.
2. Romans 14:11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
3. Philippians 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
But the " the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, murderers, sexually immoral, those who practice magic, idolaters, liars," Rev 21:8, etc. who denied God and Christ all their lives will be forced to their knees, i.e. Jesus’ footstool, and forced to proclaim that Jesus is Lord.
This is another important point it is recorded 8 times in scripture. The followers of UR ignore these verses.

1. Psalms 110:1 A Psalm of David. The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.
2. Matthew 22:44 The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool?
3. Mark 12:36 For David himself said by the Holy Ghost, The LORD said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool.
4. Luke 20:42 And David himself saith in the book of Psalms, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,
Luke 20:43 Till I make thine enemies thy footstool.
5. Acts of the apostles 2:34-35
34 For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,
35 Until I make thy foes thy footstool..
6. Hebrews 1:13 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?
7. Hebrews 10:12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;.
8. Hebrews 10:13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.
What does “make your enemies your footstool mean?” Joshua, the OT type of Jesus, shows us in Josh. 10.
Joshua 10:5-15 Five kings band together to make war against Israel.
Joshua 10:17 And it was told Joshua, saying, The five kings are found hid in a cave at Makkedah….
Joshua 10:22 Then said Joshua, Open the mouth of the cave, and bring out those five kings unto me out of the cave.
Joshua 10:23 And they did so, and brought forth those five kings unto him out of the cave, the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, and the king of Eglon.
Joshua 10:24 And it came to pass, when they brought out those kings unto Joshua, that Joshua called for all the men of Israel, and said unto the captains of the men of war which went with him, Come near, put your feet upon the necks of these kings. And they came near, and put their feet upon the necks of them.
Joshua 10:26 And afterward Joshua smote them, and slew them, and hanged them on five trees: and they were hanging upon the trees until the evening.
The enemies of Joshua were made his footstool then destroyed. They did not become faithful, obedient members of his army.
The enemies of Jesus will be His footstool and nowhere is it written that those enemies will be reconciled.
