[Luk 21:24 NASB] 24 and they will fall by the edge of the sword, and will be led captive into all the nations; and Jerusalem will be trampled under foot by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

[Rom 11:25 NASB] 25 For I do not want you, brethren, to be uninformed of this mystery--so that you will not be wise in your own estimation--that a partial hardening has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in;

I've seen a lot of prophecy lately that talk about new eras and that the time of the Gentiles has ended (the church age). What are the thoughts of people here on that?

It’s traditional Catholic doctrine to describe the era post-70 AD and pre-Antichrist to be the age of gentiles, when all nations around the world get to know and worship the true God.

“For from the rising of the sun even to the going down, my name is great among the Gentiles, and in every place there is sacrifice, and there is offered to my name a clean oblation: for my name is great among the Gentiles, saith the Lord of hosts.”

Malachi 1:11, Douay-Rheims Challoner

I would wait for a few more years before I could conclude whether we are at the end of the gentile age if I were you.

We preach to the gentiles until the end of the world....so....no.
We preach to the Jews also, but there has been a blindness on them until the age of the Gentiles has ended. It isn't to say the church disappears or that we stop preaching... but that God's focus shifts back to Israel as we move into the end times.

Almost all of these prophets also say there will be a billion soul harvest in the next decade... so I don't think stopping preaching the gospel is ever part of the end of the age of the gentiles... at least I've never heard of that.

This is the traditional Christian view.

The Jews were conquered by the Romans in 70 AD. Some of them were enslaved and used by the Romans for public works projects. Various other groups conquered Israel including the Muslims. In WW I Britain took Israel from the Turks. They allowed some Jewish immigration. In 1948 the Jews took Israel from the British. In 1950 the Jews allowed Jews to immigrate to Israel. Gentiles no longer control the place.

I am a partial Preterist so my view on this is quite different. First, the two verses have nothing to do with each other. Luke 21:24 was fulfilled in 70 AD with the destruction of Jerusalem. Romans 11:25 , Paul is speaking to the Gentiles about their place in the Kingdom of God by explaining how God provided the Gospel to the Jew first and then to the Gentile.
Be blessed.

The fullness of the gentiles is not complete until the Lord returns.

You can answer the question by looking at the rest of the passage from Luke 21.

What happens below when the times of the Gentiles comes to fullness?

Luk 21:24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
Luk 21:25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
Luk 21:26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
Luk 21:27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
Luk 21:28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

Based on the above, the Second Coming of Christ occurs when the times of the Gentiles comes to fullness.

We preach to the Jews also, but there has been a blindness on them until the age of the Gentiles has ended.

Are all of the Israelites partially blinded in Romans 11, or are part of the Israelites blinded, and part are not blinded?

The answer is found in the "remnant" of Romans 11:1-5.

Pat Robertson is attempting to make the Two Peoples of God doctrine of modern Dispensational Theology work.

Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, the Two Peoples of God doctrine of modern Dispensational Theology falls apart.

The New Covenant: Bob George

Can you give scripture references?

“And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ” (Revelation 12:17, KJV).

“Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus” (Revelation 14:12, KJV).

The saints (remnant) ... made up of believers from all nations (this will include gentiles of course)

Gentiles will continue to be born until He returns.

Luke 21:24 KJV: And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

This time of the Gentiles has not yet began.

Revelation 11:2 KJV: But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.

It's a period of 42 months in which Jerusalem is occupied by gentile forces given to Israel to help protect the Israeli government from its enemy neighbors. The occupying forces are overrun by a ten nation confederation of Muslim forces.(the beast).

Afterward the Lord comes and fight against those nations which came against Jerusalem.

I recently discovered these short videos by the Bible project. First of all....I agree with Maria...the two verses aren't linked. To get a fuller picture of Luke 21(especially v. 27).....this video brings in a lot more of the bigger picture. This video is less than 6 minutes long:

.......and the fullness of the Gentiles (I don't read "age of Gentiles") in Romans 11? Yes....Gentiles are fully included in the New Covenant. That's not a number....it's about full inclusion.

As a person very involved in the Charismatic movement, especially the Prophetic Movement, there has been so much wrong with predictive prophesy of many "Prophet"s. The number of prophesies that did not come true, or had to be reworded near their deadline to save face is legion......

AMOS 3:7

Surely the Lord God will do nothing, unless He revealeth His secret unto His servants the prophets.

Why have so few prophets actually predicted Covid 19 in their prophesies for the coming year or the near future?

Ezekiel 12:22 "Son of man, what is this proverb that you have in the land of Israel: 'The days go by, and every vision fails'?
Ezekiel 12:23 Therefore tell them that this is what the Lord GOD says: 'I will put an end to this proverb, and in Israel they will no longer recite it.' But say to them: 'The days are at hand when every vision will be fulfilled.

Act 28:28 Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it.

Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Gal 1:14 And profited in the Jews' religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.
Gal 1:15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace,
Gal 1:16 To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:
Gal 1:17 Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus.
Gal 1:18 Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days.

You believe the salvation of the Gentiles is trodding Jerusalem under foot?
For heavens sake.

Why am I not surprised you would come to such a conclusion.

Jesus said (as recorded by Luke in that chapter) This isn't about salvation:

Luke 21:32 ~ "Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.
