Anglicans think women can be ordained. They lay hands on women to be bishops. Back when I was Anglican, we traditionalist Anglicans jokingly called it “laying hands on hairspray.”

OK, it sounded at first glance like they were actually laying hands on like AquaNet or something. This is much better hahahaAnglicans think women can be ordained. Has self-flagellation ever being used as penance in the Orthodox Church?The self flagellation thing was a joke, indicating I felt bad about making Holy Communion look like a comedy of errors. And, yes this is all true.....what a strange thing to make up? Just randomly ask for advice on what to do with a stained mask that doesn't exist.....???
Anyway, I've text my priest to ask him what he wants me to do.
ETA: but thank you for the last paragraph, I'm glad to know even monks goof up

not in any official capacity (like if you do x sin, you need to do 30 lashes), and not because our fallen nature is naturally wicked. however, stuff like that has been used to subdue the passions.
