I studied and taught school in Japan for a couple of years and it has long been common for them to wear a mask long before covid 19. Here in my part of Ohio I think (at least among the men) they balk at wearing a mask becuase it's "not cool" or you're not a tough guy type of thing. I struggled myself but now I'm to the point where I don't care what anybody else thinks. Late stage Covid 19 your lungs fill up with fluid (starting at the bottom and working up) to the point you lose the ability to inhale/exhale. Tough way to go.

Didn't realize you were an Ohioan too. It seems like our state is one of the later ones to pass the order.

The consensus on gloves is far more shaky, because you need to change gloves regularly and most household gloves get porous very quickly.

Where the virus is transmittable on contact surfaces...
The airborne virus is going to be the major culprit...from everyone with allergies who simply clears their throat but otherwise feels just fine.

Anyone with commonsense would change their glove every time they left a place, and put a new one one. I could go though ten plus gloves a day.

Well when everyone was crazy shopping and buying out the stores...
The bar soap was virtually untouched but the sanitizer was gone...along with the toilet paper.

Really! Go to the bank, grocery store and doctors appointment. Before you wash your hands at home. Then laugh about it .I'm saying Wear multiple gloves. Because if you dont. Your hand all ready touched eyes, nose and face. Before you get home.

The problem is that you need to disinfect your hands or wash them during every glove change. Otherwise you're just breeding bacteria under your gloves.

But I guess it's better to take too many precautions, including the less usefull ones, than none at all.
