Malachi 4:1-6 This prophecy deals with what will happen to the people of Judah; the Jews and Israel; the Christians, in the last days. Read and carefully consider his Words:
For lo, the sun comes, glowing like a furnace and all the audacious sinners and all the perpetrators of wickedness will be like stubble. And the Day that comes shall burn them up... But the sun [Son] of mercy shall rise with healing in its wings for you who fear My Name...
Soon to happen, God will use the sun; the wicked will be judged by fire and all the faithful believers will be protected by Jesus. Isaiah 30:26-30, Psalms 50:1-6, Isaiah 66:15-21
It will be the Sixth Seal worldwide disaster. Revelation 6:12-17

Keep in remembrance the teaching of Moses, My servant, and the laws and ordinances which I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel.
The prophet tells them in the name of God; ‘Remember forever the Commandments of Moses, My servant: in every time and situation.

Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and awesome Day of the Lord, that he may return the heart of the fathers through the children, and the heart of the children through their fathers — lest I come and smite the earth with utter destruction.
This means that to prevent a situation in which God will have to come and destroy the earth, He will send Elijah the prophet to arouse the people to repentance. Once they choose to obey, they will merit to be counted among those who fear My Name and their names will be Written in the Book of Life. Malachi 3:16-17

The above prophecy “Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet ... that he may return the heart of the fathers…” means that Elijah’s role to provide spiritual assistance to people living in This World, will take on immense proportions before the great and terrible Day of God, and he will awaken the heart of the people to repentance.

Indeed, what other convincing explanation is there for the wonderful commitment to the faith in these days, in which many youths and young adults are tenaciously swimming against the stream of hedonism and lusts which are part of our modern culture.

Elijah will return the heart of fathers; to the Almighty, through the children, by the children. They will show their parents by their joy and love; the right way to live.

Throughout Jewish and Christian history, the parents responsibility was to educate their children to observe Torah, the Bible and its Commandments. To say that a time will come when the children will teach their parents to repent, seems absurd.

But now, we see many parents becoming religious by the example of their children. “He will return the heart of fathers to the Almighty through the children.”

There is very little time left now, for people to repent and have their names Written in the Book of Life. The forthcoming great and terrible Day of the Lord’s wrath, prophesied over 100 times in the Bible, is near and coming fast. Zephaniah 1:14-18

I see many good Christian young people in my town.
I also know many American people, whose children are faithful and keep pure.

Those people will become part of the 144,000, who will go out in pairs to proclaim the coming Kingdom of Jesus. Isaiah 66:19, Revelation 14:1-7. As described in Luke 10:1-10

It is visible evidence.
Do you not know of any young people, [or any age] who love the Lord and keep themselves pure?
There may or may not be more of them, but for sure it is more difficult for them, therefore more righteousness and credit to them.

Bible prophecy plainly states there will be 144,000 in the end times. They will do as the 72 in Luke 10-1-10 did. As Isaiah 66:19 says.

30+ yrs ago two brittish scientists discovered a hole in the ozone layer , obviously the fabric is thin and there will come a day when there will be no more ozone layer. (sores upon the body) ( the sun burning mens skin) where have we heard that before?

Although the ozone layer and the earths magnetic shield have lost depth and strength over the last century, they are not what will fulfil the prophesies about the terrible heat and other disastrous effects of the the Lords Day of fiery wrath.
Just a single day event caused by an earth directed Coronal Mass Ejection.

Not really. Certainly not any who have actually changed their parents mind about it. Older people tend to bit more set on their ways. Proper indoctrination is best started young for longer lasting results.

Except we figured out the problem. Actually took steps to address the problem in international forum

and it is working with complete ozone layer recovery expected in few decades.

The ozone layer is on track to completely repair itself in our lifetime

Now the focus is to combat global warming the same way but for various reasons that one is a much harder nut to crack.

The last promise and prophecy of the last prophet to have prophesied before the coming of Christ. Then the prophetic word fell silent, until Christ came:

Mal 4:5-6

And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse."

John the Baptist denying that he is the Christ, and denying that he is Elijah:

John 1:19-23
And this is the witness of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who are you? And he confessed and did not deny, but confessed, I am not the Christ.

And they asked him, What then? Are you Elijah? And he says, I am not. Are you that prophet? And he answered, No.

Then they said to him, Who are you so that we may give an answer to those who sent us? What do you say of yourself? John 1:23 He said, I am "the voice of one crying in the wilderness: Make straight the way of the Lord," as the prophet Isaiah said."

Much later, after John the Baptist had been beheaded, the disciples saw Moses and - of all people - Elijah - appearing with the Lord on the mount where He was transfigured. So naturally, on the way back down from the mountain where Jesus was transfigured, they asked Jesus:

Mat 17:10
"Why then do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?"

In His reply, Jesus juxtaposed a future-tense fulfillment with a past-tense fulfillment:

Mat 17:11-13
And answering Jesus said to them, Elijah truly shall come first and restore all things.

But I say to you that Elijah has come already, and they did not know him, but have done to him whatever they desired. Likewise also the Son of man shall suffer from them.

Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist."

Why did Jesus not merely say, "Elijah has come already, and they did not know him, but have done to him whatever they desired. Likewise also the Son of man shall suffer from them."?

Ecclesiasticus 48:1-10 There arose Elijah, a prophet like fire, whose Word blazed like a torch. By the Word of the Lord, he shut up the sky and three times he called down fire from heaven. By the Word of the Most High, you raised a corpse from the dead. You sent kings and famous men to destruction, how glorious you were, Elijah, in your miracles! You were taken up to heaven in a chariot by a fiery whirlwind. Scripture records that you are to come at the appointed time, to allay the Divine wrath before it destroys us all, to reconcile father and son and to restore the tribes of Jacob. 1 Kings 18:37-38 Answer me, Lord, and let this people know that You are God in Israel and that is You who have brought them back to their allegiance. Then fire from heaven fell, consuming the whole offering, the wood, the stones, the earth and the water in the trench.

Malachi 4:5-6 Look, I will send you the prophet Elijah before the great and terrible Day of the Lord comes. He will reconcile parents to their children, so as to avoid My curse on the Land.

Luke 1:17 John will go before Him as a forerunner, possessed by the power and spirit of Elijah, to reconcile father to child, to convert the rebellious to the ways of the righteous and to prepare a people that shall be fit for the Lord.

Now, as the great and terrible Day of the Lord approaches, we can soon expect that someone, somewhere will rise up in the spirit and power of Elijah. It may be that the man himself will appear, as he never died and it is probable that he is one of the two witnesses who preach in Jerusalem during the time of the Anti Christ.

Elijah was the prophet who called down fire from heaven, maybe he will do so again when the Islamic nations and entities commence their attack on Israel.

It will be Elijah who will reconcile families, this mainly refers to the great reconciliation and rejoining of the House of Judah and the House of Israel. Ezekiel 37:15-28

This will lift the Divine curse off the Land and enable the restored tribes of Jacob, the Israelites and now as we know; every faithful Christian believer. They will go to their heritage and be the people fit to welcome Jesus at His Return.

All the holy Land, promised so long ago to the Patriarchs, will be cleared and cleansed by the forthcoming Day of the Lord’s judgement/punishment by fire from God’s storehouse, Deuteronomy 32:34-35, the sun.

Pauls Message to the Northern Ten Tribes of the House of Israel:

Ephesians 2:11-18 "Do not forget, that there was a time when you who were pagans physically; called the Uncircumcised. That is: all non-Jews, but specifically the rejected House of the Northern 10 Tribes of Israel, scattered in exile amongst the nations where they have lost their Israelite identity.

Do not forget that you had no Redeemer and were excluded from membership of Israel, Cut off from the Covenant by God and exiled amongst the pagan nations. So, something had to happen to enable you to become members of Israel again.
Aliens with no part in the Covenants with their Promises. You were immersed in this world without hope and without God No longer part of the Covenant. So, you had to be reconciled, brought back into the Covenant with God.
But now in Jesus; you that used to be so far apart from us; Paul, speaking as a Jew.
have been brought very close by the Blood of Jesus. You have been bought at a very high price. Revelation 5:9-10

For He is the Peace (Reconciliation) between us (The House of Judah and the House of Israel) and has made the two into One (all the faithful Christian People of God)
and has broken down the barrier which used to keep them apart, actually destroying by His own Person the hostility (rebellion) caused by the rules and decrees of the (Jewish Levitical) Law. This rebellion by 10 tribe Israel and pagans against the Law was the barrier that kept them apart from Jews. This does not imply that Jesus did away with the Law itself, rather; He removed the rebellion against the Law from the hearts of the receiving Israelites, as confirmed in Jeremiah 31:31-33 and Ezekiel 11:17-21, placing His Spirit in them, thereby instilling a love for obedience to the Law on their hearts and minds.

This was to create One Single New Man (Born again believers) in Himself out of the two of them and by restoring Peace, through the Cross, to unite them both in a Single Body and reconcile them with God. In His own person He killed the hostility (against the Law - not the Law itself.)
Through Him, all peoples have in the One Spirit the Way to come to the Father. So, you (Christian believers) are no longer aliens or foreigners, you are citizens like all the Tzadikim (righteous Jews) and part of God's Household.(Christian people from every tribe, race, nation and language.)

This Mystery that has now been revealed ... was unknown to men in past generations. It means that pagans (including the degenerated and scattered 10 tribed Israel,) now share the same inheritance. They all can be part of the SAME BODY (of faithful Christians) and the same Promise (as had been made to the ancient 12 tribes of Israel.) has been made to them (the Gentiles and lost Israelites) in Jesus, through the Good News of His atoning sacrifice. (that He, did sacrifice His Life in order to redeem them back into the Covenant relationship, with all its Divine Blessings)

I believe the Elijah and Moses will most likely be the two witnesses. They represent the Law and the Prophets, and the reconciliation is taking about the Jews in Israel-along with getting them ready for their role in the Mil. Temple of Ezek. 40-48. That is why there is so much about the law of Moses and priests in Mal. IMO. Of course the focus will be back on Israel when the 70th week begins and the seals are opened.

The 144,000 would have to be Jews from the tribes and men, they cannot be gentiles. They will be the seed stock for the nation of Israel in the Mil. Kingdom, IMO.

I'm not sure why you are talking about the 10 tribes in the book of Ephesians? The message was/is to gentiles, or am I missing something?

Yes, you are. Like many, you think the 10 Northern tribes of Israel have already rejoined with Judah. That they haven't yet is proved by how the Blessings described in Ezekiel 37, still await fulfillment.
To the Jews, incl Paul, we are Gentiles, whether we are descended from Jacob, as is the case with the Caucasian peoples, or Christians from every race, nation and language. Revelation 5:9-10
But as many NT scriptures say, being a born again Christian is the paramount thing for our Salvation. Our ethnicity is of no consequence. Galatians 3:26-29
That is God's mystery, His hidden secret which we need not be concerned about.

Reading Ezek. 37, I understand this to be fulfilled after the 70th week- compare with Isa. 11. Fore sure, enough Jews will be in the land to make up the 144,000 from the tribes at the time of the great trib., but they will be scattered again after the Beast invades.

Only after the 70th week is complete is when the whole house of Israel will be together finally- the remnant that is left throughout the earth. This seems to take place in about a 40 day period after Jesus takes possession of the earth and sets up His Kingdom when we read Isa.66. This seems to be when the sheep and goat judgment takes place, IMO.

The whole face of the earth will be realigned and cleansed by fire-as Peter said in 2nd Peter 3, not at the end of the MK. The day of the Lord is finished when Jesus come back-God is only going to shake the heavens and the earth one more time (Heb. 12:25-29) so the new heavens and new earth along with the lifting of the curse starts at the beginning MK.

Of course God may "tweak" things after the 1000 years but I don't believe it will be a total destruction of the things His Son together with mankind has started, and Ezek. 40-48 confirms the land and Temple will always be around on this earth, and this earth will be around forever. God will change and restore things- not start from scratch. Jer. 31 This is what He does with us too.

There will be less sea and more land mass and most likely a pole shift and righting of the earth. The solar system will get back on a 360 day year too. Just my thoughts on all of that.

Yes, I agree families will be restored and Elijah will start the process but the final fulfillment is at the start of the MK. So I do not agree the sticks are together yet.

The Restored Remnant

11Then it will happen on that day that the Lord
Will again recover the second time with His hand
The remnant of His people, who will remain,
From Assyria, Egypt, Pathros, Cush, Elam, Shinar, Hamath,
And from the islands of the sea.

12And He will lift up a standard for the nations
And assemble the banished ones of Israel,
And will gather the dispersed of Judah
From the four corners of the earth.

13Then the jealousy of Ephraim will depart,
And those who harass Judah will be cut off;
Ephraim will not be jealous of Judah,
And Judah will not harass Ephraim.

14They will swoop down on the slopes of the Philistines on the west;
Together they will plunder the sons of the east;
They will possess Edom and Moab,
And the sons of Ammon will be subject to them.

15And the LORD will utterly destroy
The tongue of the Sea of Egypt;
And He will wave His hand over the River
With His scorching wind;
And He will strike it into seven streams

For the remnant of His people who will be left,
Just as there was for Israel
In the day that they came up out of the land of Egypt.

And,
18“For I know their works and their thoughts; the time is coming to gather all nations and tongues. And they shall come and see My glory. 19“I will set a sign among them and will send survivors from them to the nations: Tarshish, Put, Lud, Meshech, Tubal and Javan, to the distant coastlands that have neither heard My fame nor seen My glory. And they will declare My glory among the nations. 20“Then they shall bring all your brethren from all the nations as a grain offering to the LORD, on horses, in chariots, in litters, on mules and on camels, to My holy mountain Jerusalem,” says the LORD, “just as the sons of Israel bring their grain offering in a clean vessel to the house of the LORD. 21“I will also take some of them for priests and for Levites,” says the LORD.

22“For just as the new heavens and the new earth
Which I make will endure before Me,” declares the LORD,

All mankind will come to bow down before Me,” says the LORD.

24“Then they will go forth and look
On the corpses of the men
Who have transgressed against Me.
For their worm will not die

And they will be an abhorrence to all mankind.”

We are in general agreement, R2W.
Only a few details, such as the 144k. They cannot be all Jews; only of Judah and Benjamin. The other ten tribes will rejoin them soon after the Sixth Seal, as the sequence in Revelation shows. You have to start shuffling Revelation for any other theory. Not advisable!

This will happen, as Isaiah 13:13 tells us.
The 360 day year is proved by the time periods given in Daniel and Revelation. 1260 days doesn't equate with 3 1/2 years otherwise.
