Why people come for prayer if their hearts are pure evil?

I think this might be one of the most backward things I've ever read.

Surely the 'evil' are the ones who'll benefit most from prayer? The cucumber sandwich munchers in the crisp white shirts won't need it as much as someone who is really struggling.

that's for God to judge. Christ only turned away the unrepentant, and usually they left on their own.

In fairness, Proverbs WAS written about 800 years before Jesus was born.

Everything before Jesus is the standard that HE would eventually live up to. Sin is the most misunderstood thing ever. It's not 'bad' if it brings you closer to Him.

Jesus came to save sinners.

Who knows what is on their hearts?

You cant judge just by what you see.

He come to save the lost of the house of Israel, but this doesn't mean sinners can enter heaven.

Also Jesus said that he will say: Luke 13:27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.

He also said in the gospel that many people will want to enter heaven but cannot.

Doesnt mean we should judge as only God can see their hearts.

I wouldnt focus on what they do. Just focus on Jesus instead my friend.

Mate, you need to humble yourself because you sound full of pride and entitlement, thinking also of your other posts that I've seen. Pray for revelation when you get into the Word. Even the name "good human" makes me feel as though the heart of the gospel and why Jesus needed to die hasn't really sunk in.

The priest is your only friend because you don't want any other friends? And your priest said you don't need the prayer anymore, yet you still go first anyway? I think there is more to the story that you are not able to see.

Who is pure evil, but Satan and the demons? You may be familiar with this quote,

It shows that we should not divide ourselves among each other, but pray for one another in love... And God forbid we divide ourselves among the people in the church!

See Mark 10: 35-45. Notice verses 43-44, "But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be slave of all."

@Goodhuman, Try going to the end of the line and pray for everyone in front of you, in your heart, while you wait. It may turn out that by the time you get to the priest you don't even need his prayer.
