How many of God's children will hear "well done" on the last day?

Matthew 25:31-46 gives us some reason to pause and consider that there will be at least some of us who might hear much less pleasant words at the end.

Multitudes ... all because of His work in them.

1 John 3:2
Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is.

Anything He has to say will do for me as long as it's not depart from me I never knew you ! I'm not worthy of any rewards though, not looking from this side of heaven that I can see anyway.

I believe that many who think they are God’s children are in the goat category, and some who think they are goats are actually sheep.

I pray that God may make me a sheep, not a goat. I am sure that the little things I have done do not compare to the big things I have not done. And I am not convinced that my verbal, intellectual acceptance of Christ reflects true repentance and a faithfulness to the end.

I think in reference to my life, on the last day I will hear “Are you serious, what was that!?”

You cannot be called a Child of God unless you ARE a Child of God.

Therefore ALL of Gods' Children will hear,
"Well done my good and faithful servant"

Anyone who is a Child of God, is a True Child of God there are no partial Children of God, you are either a Child of God or you are not.

Those spoken of in Matt. 25, had already been separated into Goat and Sheep categories.

Meaning those who were not Children of God would be the Goats, and those who were the Children of God would be the Sheep.

If someone does not know or is not sure they are a Child of God then they should make sure they are before another day goes by.

These are they who are spoken of as being Lukewarm.

Rev. 3:16
So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

If you at this point do not know you are a Sheep, (Child of God) then you do have a problem.

I would therefore seek out the Truth where it Can Be Found, because where you are isn't it.

Intellectual assent even Satan has... what we are required is true faith in Christ and His finished work...

When we find that thread of true faith, we nurture it allow it to grow until it becomes a rope, and eventually it will be like a hammock that cradles us, comforts us and lets us know we are safe from all harm.

It's born in love, and lived out in love...

You know this much.

I don't see why it matters, what matters is where we end up and WHO got us there...

The elders will throw their crowns at Jesus's feet in heaven, and praise Him and give Him the glory... As should we here on earth..

Nothing matters but Him, in the end. All else is trivial.

Yes, I understand His love, and I try to live it out in love. I do know that much.
That is beautifully said.

But nevertheless, I see how poorly I love, and cry out daily “Lord, have mercy on me, a sinner”.

That’s a line from a show I watched many years ago. Sometimes it feels like an accurate description.

I think it's good to have in our conscious mind daily that we MUST hear those words. NOTHING can be more important than hearing them. I think it keeps us on track if we allow them to and not set them aside becoming presumptuous. And they keep us in the place of the positive fear of the Lord which is the beginning of wisdom. Oh I know some like to say stop trying to make people walk in paranoia and we don't want that but on the other hand we don't want people not staying sober these things either.

"But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness." Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.2 Peter 3: 10,14

That’s almost always in question for me. It would be nice if I enter the gates of Heaven in a group and I could try to slip in unnoticed, but I think those odds are pretty low lol

Why is what you believe almost always in question, what is missing?

Wouldn't you like to know without a shadow of doubt where you stand in relation to God, and your position on Judgment Day?

Well the way I see it is there’s no sense in stressing about anything, and I just go with an it is what it is attitude. But I seem to have a sort of casual, or a very luke warm mentality about it all, I don’t have that fire that a lot of believers have. My first post was sort of half joking but also half serious.
