Can you guys help me search for the "X-men" of the bible and their abilities?

1) Josheb-Basshebeth, a Tahkemonite -- killed 800 men with his spear in one encounter.
(2 Samuel 23:8)

2) Abishai the brother of Joab son of Zeruiah -- killed 300 men with his spear.
(2 Samuel 23:18)

3) Shammah son of Agee the Hararite -- All the Israeli troops withdrew from the Philistine army, leaving Shammah behind to fend for himself. He slaughtered them all.
(2 Samuel 23:11)

4) Jashobeam, a Hakmonite -- killed 300 men with his spear in one encounter.
(1 Chronicles 11)

5) Eleazar son of Dodai the Ahohite -- The Israeli troops fled from the Philistine army, but king David and Eleazar took their stand and slaughtered them all.
(1 Chronicles 11:12)

Thanks.

This is interesting. Are you saying these were Nephilim or angels? That hadn't occurred to me.

I have one:
Jesus of Nazareth -- Rose from the dead after three days
(1 Corinthians 15:4)

This one Christian I know, he loves pointing out that Samson never did anything super human without the text first saying “And the spirit of God came upon him.” Sometimes I fantasize about a verbal version of that. There is just so much misinformation and misdirections and half truths and classified information in the world that I don’t think anybody (mortal) is smart enough to know the whole picture. But could you imagine somebody having a podcast or something “And the spirit of God comes upon them” and they just start explaining the full comprehensive truth about the world, and in alarming clarity and articulation?

Jesus actually did do this all the time with the religious leaders who tried to trap him! However I would really love to see it done in 2020. It would be more like an Xavier Biblical X-man than a Wolverinish Samson X-man lol.

Interesting about Samson. Nearly every Bible movie about him they have him as some big muscle man. He may not have been that at all but when the anointing power of God comes on one they just have a supernatural ability to do things. If we saw a film of how it really was maybe we'd see a man's motions like they're on fast forward.

There are more in 2 Samuel 23....

2Sa 23:39 NIV - and Uriah the Hittite. There were thirty-seven in all.

20-21 NIV Benaiah son of Jehoiada, a valiant fighter from Kabzeel, performed great exploits. He struck down Moab's two mightiest warriors. He also went down into a pit on a snowy day and killed a lion. And he struck down a huge Egyptian. Although the Egyptian had a spear in his hand, Benaiah went against him with a club. He snatched the spear from the Egyptian's hand and killed him with his own spear.

More like Nephilim hunters...as already mentioned David and (the Nephilim) Goliath.

Abraham Gen 14:15 NIV - During the night Abram divided his men to attack them and he routed them, pursuing them as far as Hobah, north of Damascus.

Joshua and Caleb (Numbers 14) The whole book of Joshua.

...and one of my favorite, Jonathan.
1Sa 14:6, 13-14 NIV - Jonathan said to his young armor-bearer, "Come, let's go over to the outpost of those uncircumcised men. Perhaps the LORD will act in our behalf. Nothing can hinder the LORD from saving, whether by many or by few." ... Jonathan climbed up, using his hands and feet, with his armor-bearer right behind him. The Philistines fell before Jonathan, and his armor-bearer followed and killed behind him. In that first attack Jonathan and his armor-bearer killed some twenty men in an area of about half an acre.
