Just thought I would start an open conversation thread for just chatting. Howdy everyone. Hope you're all doing well tonight. So whats the story tonight?
Yeah, the "left coasters" are out later than the Easterners. eh?

Have they restocked the toilet paper in your neck of the woods yet?
Our shelves are no longer "wiped" out.

And now that the political commercials are coming on I am sure thankful for the remote control for my TV !!!!

That is why I ignore watching regular tv as much as I can and just stream stuff. Youtube Red comes in handy.

Watching Fringe. Whats up?
I'm watching Roger Rabbit and chatting mostly. Might do some reading. Not sure. Waiting for a friend to get home that I usually chat with at night.

I believe it cost 12.99 or something of the sort. It has gone up a few times in the past few years. I don't blame you using a flip phone. I have thought of going back to one.

Thanx, but I'm on a fixed income so I'm flying low.

I can understand that. I really should be on a fixed income myself. I am trying to get out of debt and thin out my expenses

I got laid off in 2010, and hunted for work for more than a year before I turned the lay off into a retirement.
Had I worked longer, I would have planned to do something in my golden years like travel or open my own car shop.
But in Christ there seems to be something to do all the time.
I volunteer twice a week at the friendly neighborhood food bank, and I use those days as my orientation on the calendar.
Otherwise the days just all run together. Hah !

Oh wow! I am not quite there yet to be able to retire even early yet. Getting layed off is rough though. I have been with my job currently since 2008. It isn't a high profile job and I am not bank rolling so to speak. But it pays the bills and fills my belly. Prior to that I had left the food industry and got screwed over by a new job I was supposed to get back then. It really changed my plan. I am thankful I landed this job though. It isn't anything flashy. But it is a job at least. I am just grateful I still have it. Though I have times I question if I should do something else. I am just trying to figure out what else to do with my life at this point. I am really not sure. Other than just being who I can be for others I guess. Really have been becoming a big support for my father these days though. Which I am glad I can be.

Yeah, the "left coasters" are out later than the Easterners. eh?

I’m almost East but up late. Taking a break from assignments due tomorrow. I was going to finish them earlier today but I guess I got hot doing some minor yard work (after being outside at Home Depot in a mask!) and crashed for about 5 hours.

Now I have to catch up and still want to go to Church in the morning.

Our shelves are no longer "wiped" out.

We can buy TP here (though maybe not always the brand wanted - but stock is pretty good). I even bought Lysol wipes once which I rarely use anyway but wanted on hand and haven’t been able to buy in months. I guess I got lucky though because I haven’t seen them since. They are rationing meat products here — fresh, frozen, and processed.

And now that the political commercials are coming on I am sure thankful for the remote control for my TV !!!!

Oh thankfully I don’t watch TV at all! I have some free and low cost streaming services. Still it seems they are creeping into YouTube videoes. At least the ones I’ve seen are positive. Not that I want to vote for that candidate, but it seems to me that positivity would count for a lot more than a smear campaign - I think we are probably all sick of bad news.

I will probably try to hit the late morning service if I get up early enough. It is a struggle for me since I work third shift. But not to bad always.

Ya TP and paper towel have been pretty decent. Finding certain food or Lysol spray or wipes has been hit or miss. Everyone always clears out the hand wipes. I just been cleaning with bleach water mostly at home or some cheap disinfectant spray I find at the dollar store. lol These are certainly odd times to be living in. I just do my best to make of it with what I got.

Ya I can't stand political adds. I try to only talk politics with my fam and even then keep it at a low. Get enough of it from everything else. We have become such a split country. I do my best to be a peace maker in these days especially and find common ground if I can. I am sick of the negative news too. I really wish news organizations would do better to mix in positive news. But they seem not to care.

Good morning. Plans for today?
Just been relaxing. Met with my dad and eldest brother for brunch though. And then a car ride since it is really nice out. Now just relaxing back at my place.
