I enjoy your posts so much,'Anthony'Today our church building has reopened for services.
It was a little different to our usual Sunday service. We were all spread out across the church as we have to observe 2m distancing. There were no hymns or songs, but we had the Bible readings, prayers and our service sheets. It was nice to be able to take communion again, although we had the bread as they are still suspending use of the shared chalice. Instead of returning the service book/missal to the shelf, we have been encouraged to take it home, put our name on it, and bring it with us to each service. We didn't serve coffee at the end, but we did have time to stand outside and have a chat and a catch up.
I particularly enjoyed the reflection on today's notice sheet - "All is Well"
Surrender to the will of God and you will be able to say in every circumstance "It is the Lord!".
Faith tells us that God is tender and merciful. But God is also one who turns us like a potter turns clay on a wheel.
We must submit to all that happens knowing that ultimately 'all will be well'.
We will be fashioned in the divine likeness if we surrender generously to God's working.
Using another image - be simple, straightforward, trusting, and God will bring the ship of your life into port.
Sail securely on the waves of God's will. Let God fill the wind in your sails. The Spirit takes over lives that are totally given to God in faith. 'Blessed are the pure in heart'. Have a heart that is attuned to God's will and you cannot go wrong. For God makes the Divine will known to us moment by moment, no matter what is happening in our lives.
