One hopes not, but it will be disruptive and it is likely to come down to small margins in particular states.
Kanye is likely to ditch the whole thing ... before it gets going.

He has to be handled with kid gloves.

He has no real staying power ...

that was obvious from your post

I don’t know Kanye personally. I am aware of comments and written statements. But I don’t know him. Applying a similar logic would suggest I know you because you post on CF. And we know that’s false.

Noone's going to vote for Kanye.

We all know he's missing a cog ... and his ego is massive. He's been wanting to run for years.
Exactly! The American voter has demonstrated time and time again they will not vote for someone who is mentally unstable and an egomaniac.:ebil:

If Kanye follows through on this, what's interesting will be how he campaigns. He has the potential to carry the #walkaway message deep into the Democrat's black voter base, a base that is critical for them to hold onto. Many an honest, hard-working black is as disgusted with the recent lawlessness as anyone else, and they constitute a fertile field for political realignment.

With his recent conversion to Christ, which by all accounts seems sincere, Kanye is almost certainly going to bring a spiritual revival message with him as well (just as the quote here from @LaBèlla suggests), and it probably will be front and center. I would see this as a huge plus for the nation.

Given how much vested interests have to lose, and how nice they play (not), Kanye had better watch his back. But if he follows through and qualifies, he will have SS protection.

That does not preclude people form telling the liberals that they are people who are not to be disrespected. The assumption that if you are black you have to vote liberal will be debunked in a way that can be seen by all.

No, the assumption is that if another entertainment celebrity runs for president, it's probably safe to say it's got a spoiler agenda because the last one who ran was a disaster.

West's bid is bad for the democrats because he will be immediately appealing to2 demographics the young and the African American, both vote proportionally far more for the democrats. As for those who vote republican, I suspect that if your black and voting for Trump you are truly committed.

The only thing he could do is try to target low-information voters. Which unfortunately is not an inconsequential risk.

Proverbs tells us to get wisdom and understanding for a reason. I have never felt the current climate will benefit the intended in the long run.

I don’t know if politics is the Lord’s will for him. He’s spoken out about different issues. But as you’ve noted there’s consequences involved. I don’t think he’d put his family at risk to do it.

Politics involves many tangles and snares. Whenever you’re dealing with large sums of money you’re playing in a different league with greater stakes. No one spends millions to elect a candidate with nothing in return.

waste??? voting to call attention to your needs and demand the respect you deserve is not a waste, it is a message.
Voting to "send a message" is a waste. The vote is for choosing officers. Its one of the few things that's identical for both left and right interests.

Remember Nader? Lefty voters tried to send a message. The result was they empowered their worst choice of president, got us the disaster of Iraq war 2..... and who even remembers their stupid "message"?

This is a fantasy that has no relationship to reality. Don't get drunk on the kool-aid.

This is exactly the sort of rhetoric that sets off alarm bells for me. Many a scoundrel hides behind religion.

I doubt his universal appeal among blacks/ African Americans. Other than his hip or rap music, the only big draw I see has been his doing church services the last year or two. I really doubt his appeal to blacks universally, with Black Millennials and Zoomers sure. Generation X blacks much less so, and older blacks, I think mostly "hell no".

Black America knows that Kanye's best years are past.

Kanye, for some reason, feels that he is significant beyond his fleeting stardom (which was decades ago). It is unfortunate, but he has developed certain issues ... which, ultimately, diminish his significance ... but, yet, makes him believe that he is entitled to it.

We first saw this manifest ... when he bogarded his way onto the stage of the Grammy awards, ... to protest that year's awards to Taylor Swift, rather than to Beyonce.

His wife, Kim Kardashian, subsequently has tried to steer him into more productive courses, but these aspirations to grandeur still arise from time to time. They, typically, are short in duration, but can be quite dramatic, though holding no real impact ...

that is absolutely correct, Now the people who want to have representation for their needs have a chance to make their vote count. Maybe the liberals will all of a sudden recognize the fact that they cannot just take people for granted.
How would Kanye West "represent the needs of the people", in your opinion?

The stats say otherwise.

Fact...

Kanye West makes history as ‘Jesus Is King’ monopolises Christian song charts

Kanye West has chalked up a new record as the first artist to monopolise the entire Top 10 on two Billboard Christian songs charts.

Tracks from West’s new album, ‘Jesus Is King’, currently hold all Top 10 song spots in Billboard’s Hot Christian Songs and Hot Gospel Songs charts.

Meanwhile, the album itself concurrently crowns the all-genre Billboard 200, Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and Top Rap Albums charts and – along with taking the top spots on Top Christian Albums and Top Gospel Albums – is the first to ever rule all five rankings.

No other Christian artist has done the same.

Fact...

West's ninth straight No. 1 album ties him for sixth for overall No. 1 albums in the chart's history alongside the Rolling Stones, Madonna, and Garth Brooks, Billboard explained. The Beatles currently hold the top spot with 19 No. 1 albums overall. "Jesus Is King" also helped drive the single biggest streaming week of West's career, the story added.

Christian Post addressed it too.
