Praying is the best way to communicate with our Heavenly Father. These are trying times, and I for one, find that prayer along with reading the word gives me comfort. I pray for everything. I pray for guidance in life choices, and I pray for help in personal areas of weakness. When I am having a bad day I pray for help in changing my attitude. You can literally pray for anything in this life. I also pray in gratitude. It’s not always what I want, but what I have and am thankful for. I hope this encourages you on the hard days. Yah bless

Very true. Prayer is simply talking to God.
I’ve talked to God about the most strangest things. But He is the One I want to tell everything to.
He knows me more than myself.
It’s so beautiful of what Prayer is!

You do wisely.

I am often reminded of king David, who came a lot before the Lord. One time satan tempted him to number the israelites, and he did this without coming before God first, and this did upset Him a lot!

1 Chronicles 21:1-8

Now Satan stood up against Israel, and moved David to number Israel.

So David said to Joab and to the leaders of the people, “Go, number Israel from Beersheba to Dan, and bring the number of them to me that I may know it.

And Joab answered, “May the Lord make His people a hundred times more than they are. But, my lord the king, are they not all my lord’s servants? Why then does my lord require this thing? Why should he be a cause of guilt in Israel?”

Nevertheless the king’s word prevailed against Joab. Therefore Joab departed and went throughout all Israel and came to Jerusalem.

Then Joab gave the sum of the number of the people to David. All Israel had one million one hundred thousand men who drew the sword, and Judah had four hundred and seventy thousand men who drew the sword.

But he did not count Levi and Benjamin among them, for the king’s word was abominable to Joab.

And God was displeased with this thing; therefore He struck Israel.

So David said to God, “I have sinned greatly, because I have done this thing; but now, I pray, take away the iniquity of Your servant, for I have done very foolishly.”

God wants to be a part of everything we do. He is no molten image as many gods are made into, nor is He disinterested with you as many gods are pictured like, here we have a God, the only true and Living God, who desires having a relationship with us! It is very honouring that He wants this from us, we cannot bribe Him nor earn our salvation to Him, instead He decided giving it to us as a free gift! Through His Son Jesus Christ!

We should feel very privileged, as well as remaining thankful toward Him because of this!

God keep on blessing you today! :hibiscus:

If you think it fine, I want to share a poem I wrote a week ago, which fits into this thread and also with what I shared with you over here.

Come to the Lord first.
(23/6-2020)

It delights the Lord,
when we come before Him with all.
Our needs and our wants,
just everything we have in our hearts.

Whether it be small or great,
His desire is that we come to Him.
He is our provider,
but in His counsel there is also wisdom.
He knows what we need,
and that not everything we want is what is good for us.

But it truly delights the Lord,
when we come before Him with our all.
Asking Him first,
in everything.
Just as Moses did,
with the cause of the daughters of Zelophehad.

How precious it is for the Lord,
when we come to Him first.
Depending more on Him,
than on ourselves.
As the Lord knows always whats best,
and we don't.

I thank you for your kind words. Indeed I feel blessed and grateful for being able to go to the throne in prayer. A heavy price was paid on my behalf, and I don’t intend to disgrace it. Bless you as well.

Prayer is truly very important! Nowadays it seems like they are trying to take it away, not seeing it as necessary for their growth in God.

I heard a part of a preaching sermon by David Wilkerson, where he mentioned having gone to churches where pastors told him they didn't pray, as they didn't have time for it. He said that these churches where dead, the presence of the Holy Spirit wasn't there.

There is always time to make for God, even if it is a little prayer said to reaching out towards Him, this is also considered as precious to God!

There will be a falling away. And one can notice many churches focusing more on becoming more dependent on "one self" rather than on God. The more "self realized" people become, the more less they will see a need for seeking God. But so many churches have drawn secularism to them, as well as God's fear have been fading away gradually... yet God is working, and He is waking up as well as drawing to Him those who belong to Him!

Our true strenght in this time; Is when we seek the Lord both in prayer as well as in His Word. And having our eyes fixed on Jesus Christ, our main Saviour and Lord! It will become more difficult for us, but when we do this, we will be doing fine. And we will be securely in God's care, knowing that He will never leave us nor forsake us!

Much Love in Christ Jesus!:rose:

Praying for those listening to the hired hands.

Could you explain for me what you mean with "to the hired hands"?

I don't understand that part, though it may seem good. But an explanation for better or right understanding for this, is also good to have. ;):)

Just to throw it out there ...

1 Chr 21:1 And again the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and he moved David against them to say, Go, number Israel and Judah.

That isn't whats written on this part. Satan isn't God, nor is God satan.

I'm not saying either or just merely quoting a scripture, as to what it means to you as for me, is between you and God.
