I'm curious as to whether people are noticing a great increase of people claiming to be having dreams about the rapture? If you type in Rapture Dreams on youtube you'll see a great many claims and their stories of dreams people feel God has given them of the event.

What do others here feel about this? What are the possibilities here? They'd have to be I'd say,

1) God actually did give them what they say.

2) The genuinely did have a dream about the rapture but could be just like many dreams we might have....not necessarily from God but just a dream l Or, 3....

3) They're just willingly making up a story to get hits on line and to tell a tall tale.

Here's the thing....I don't recall through the last number of years seeing near the many reports of such dreams at least on things like youtube. There's always been some but it really seems like an uptick in these claims. I recall back in the 1970's when the first rapture movie films were made...."Thief in the Night" and a few others as well.....people I knew started having rapture dreams of the Lord's return. From God? Or rather come about because of the subject and theme thy were mediating on. I will say from the people I knew their experiences really did highly motivate them to serve God and inspired them. The fear and concern was not to be left behind!

Having listened to a great many of the current rapture dreams being reported there's some I think are more than likely the person just had an ordinary dream but there's quite a few which I find quite startling, meaning I believe they probably have been from God. One thing that really stands out to me is they're describing a lot of them the rapture in a different way then you'd see in most rapture movie films. Great cataclysmic things like meteorites falling and a great earthquake at the very moment the event occurs. Not to get into actual theology here but their description to me seems to line up with Rev 6 & 7!

The common thread they all have in their stories is that Jesus (according to many of them) has said the he is coming back VERY SOON, and not just soon but LOOK....VERY, VERY SOON!
Funny thing is a lot of people having these aren't the great preachers of the day....but common ordinary folk.....which if their experiences are genuine would say God is wanting to use all members of his body that he wants to give multiple individuals things to share.

Now a lot of those giving testimony are relatively young in age. Could this be because young people are more technically savvy and know how to get a message out? As to whether all their dreams truly came by providence I can't say for a fact. They are however VERY inspirational and the passion by which they share is quite impressive. One in particular I believe it was a young lady was describing her rapture dream and her exhortations for all to wake up truly is moving for all to see. She spoke along the lines, "Look all the many things we worry and stress about on earth really mean nothing, NOTHING, NOTHING! When you see what takes place at the rapture THE ONLY THING, THE ONLY THING that will matter to you is your being in right relationship with Jesus!"

So ANY thoughts on these things? And has ANYBODY reading this ever had such an experience? Of course some things might have been just an ordinary dream of things but has anyone felt they experienced one truly from God? Most certainly if a dream goes way beyond and outside the word of God you set aside the dream as being non important but has anyone had something they thought was genuine? Like to read about it.

"Look all the many things we worry and stress about on earth really mean nothing, NOTHING, NOTHING! When you see what takes place at the rapture THE ONLY THING, THE ONLY THING that will matter to you is your being in right relationship with Jesus!"

Very great quote!

Yes, and it was unexpected, and I'd not been watching any movies, nor reading articles, nor hearing others' reports.

But she's got that so right -- nothing matters more.

---------------
For those that like some contemporary Christian music, there is a song I like about how nothing matters more --

People, don't wait. Nothing matters more. Any day can be the last day for any one person.

I will give you my dream. I was in the cockpit of an airplane, looking at the fuel gauge (I do not like planes so that makes it more believable to me that I would not make this up). Anyway, the gauge was bouncing on full empty, and I can't remember if it was during the dream or when I woke up, but the message I clearly got was: the time for Jesus' return was as near as this plane running out of gas. That dream was 1987.
I just looked this stuff up but the Boeing 737-800BCF can fly about 1995 miles. Boeing 737 Next Generation - Wikipedia
So if the plane was out of gas in 1987, how far could it glide? It depends on the altitude, the type of plane and weight and the wind but this reference puts it at around 70 miles. How far can a plane fly if both its engines fail? Truth be told we do not know the day or the hour, but I would not expect to glide much further. I would figure God would land this plane before it crashes so it literally could be any day.

I've had exactly one left behind dream in my life, maybe two years ago now. The church was gone world wide but I was left behind to witness with the 144,000. People were still trying to work as normal, as if nothing ever happened. God was with me not against me to witness to just certain individuals.. A bit of a twist on the escapism mind set. But honestly, it would figure lol !!!

Running out of airplane fuel sounds like the badly done Left Behind movie with Nicolas Cage, with an unbelievable scenario at the end of the movie of landing a commercial airliner on a road construction site with no operating engines and half the control surface functions not working and less than a mile to stop it in, pure and ridiculously botched Hollywood.... A real airliner would have crashed upside down someplace out in the Atlantic Ocean given that scenario.

Interesting. So do you look upon that as merely a dream from your own mind or do you believe God gave you this and it means something of your future?

Not sure about that. Much of this happened to Air Canada Flight 143 which you can see in the video below, which happened in 1983. Landed on a run way that was closed many years before in Manitoba. It's a legend among aviators. If it wasn't for his much training in Gliders in his past they probably wouldn't have survived. Documentaries have been made about it and a fictional movie with actors. The pilot is interviewed and the story told in the video below.

The message I got is to be a witness now, don't postpone. Either way I had peace in the dream even if I was here in the trib to witness. But that wasn't so much the message as just witness.

So by referring to a hashtag rapture anxiety are you claiming it is a wrong thing to warn about the coming of the Lord?
The pre-trib rapture does not come from scripture. It is a lie. It gives people emotional instability. You know it by its fruits.

What's a day in God's timeline.
The pre-trib rapture cannot be proven from scripture. It's a false prophecy. Jesus and Paul (including Peter for other details) say it happens on the last day just before the universe explodes into the new heavens and earth.

I believe all three theories at least have an argument from scripture, depends how you approach it. But I never said I'm a pre trib believer and I never even in the past have said I am. I'm leaving the when to God actually, it will happen when He says it will.

You can twist scripture and make it say whatever you want. (Popular today). Or you can stick with the historic church and have confidence that your position has centuries of proven reliance behind it. The pre-trib rapture cannot be proven with scripture. It is less than 200 years old and warrants a search of its origin.

The words in scripture are what they are, they've always been there. It's not a matter of twisting anything, they say what they say. Men say different things and men read from different angles and come up with different views, so did Judaizers by the way and that's way back in the history of the church but still around today, a false doctrine... And so they weren't right, least not according to Paul. One things for sure, just one theory of the rapture will be correct. I'm not hanging my hat on what men say. I will see it first hand when it happens. I don't expect I'll be on earth then but then you never know ( at 70 I only have so many years left here). According to Jesus there is preeminence to this rapture. The niggle with the end theory rapture is everyone sees it coming and I mean everyone.. The rapture of the church of this age no one sees coming. You can read scripture and see both situations. So there is a difference there that nobody can reconcile that I've met yet.

So I leave open the possibility that Matt 24 and 1 Thess 4 aren't the same event for that reason. There are differences in trumpets, differences in where the Lord is, one to the clouds, the other to earth. That's a big difference. Luke 22 the people are taken away to destruction, that's not a rapture to forever be with the Lord as it says in 1 Thess 4 ! So ya as I said, it depends how you read it all. Don't assume tradition nails it. I'll hang my hat on God knowing.

Rapture teaching cannot be proven from scripture. Other scriptures rule it out. It is a false doctrine robbing people of their sleep. The only rapture in scripture you can prove is the one that follows the resurrection on the last day. Try to prove any other rapture and see for yourself.

I don't view pre-trib as the best interpretation of scripture. I lean towards Pre-Wrath which some might say isn't too much different. You say the rapture won't happen until the last day but what if people are having rapture dreams and the message is Jesus is coming back very, very soon and it still lines up with your view of when it takes place. Why can't the "last day" take place relative to us very, very, soon?

Are you saying people should set aside any thought or sober concern of taking Jesus's warning's seriously about that great and notable day? How can such a way of thinking be justified in the light of scripture? Yes we're to occupy until he comes BUT I don't think that means for a moment we're to marginalize the serious consideration of his return. It seems from the hashtag on twitter you provided it's merely disgruntled former Christians or people who were raised in Christian homes that don't want any thought of the coming of God in their minds. Wouldn't say that's too wise.

“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life: but the wrath of God abideth on him.’” John 3:36 (NCPB)
There is no wrath for believers. They have trials and tribulations. But not as the Jews had in the famous, but mostly misunderstood wrath of 70 AD.
