Yeah, prominent Trump supporters Bill Krystal and James Carville just aren't sure about President Trump anymore.

Who would you like to run?

I would vote for another conservative if there were another conservative willing to build a wall, who is also willing to tariff and punish China to death.

Practically speaking, if President Trump were to back out at the last minute (and we are about there already), the likely replacement would be Mike Pence. It would be quite a feat for any other Republican to win a majority of the delegates without a whole lot of time, money, preparation, and wrangling. The Party would not want that.

It's not as though there is any potential candidate (not including Pence) who would be, at that point in time, the favorite of a majority of National Convention delegates.

eah, prominent Trump supporters Bill Krystal and James Carville just aren't sure about President Trump anymore.
What? James Carville is a Democrat, never a Trump supporter.
Krystal however is a long time, prominent Republican who is working to keep Trump from getting reelected. His group is not the only one. There are at least three Republican groups all working to keep him from being reelected and for very good reasons.
As Krystal put it we need to stop Trump and the DOJ from turning this nation into a third world state.

Trump may not run?

This President would rather take the Republicans and the whole nation down with him rather than abdicate - remember that as "Individual 1" he is still subject to criminal prosecution the moment he becomes a private citizen so he isn't about to leave office voluntarily without a presidential pardon!

My prediction is that the Republicans will implement every "dirty trick" in their playbook to
suppress the Democratic vote followed by a constitutional crisis based on this President's assertions that the vote was "rigged" and/or the election should be "postponed" due to the pandemic!

On YouTube, I have gotten a few poll things asking me to say if I support Donald Trump.

It could be interesting to have a poll in which Republicans say whom they would rather have run > Donald or Vice President Pence.

Or, have they already done that??

Trump campaign fundraising:

June: $131,000,000
Second Quarter: $266,000,000
Cash on Hand: $295,000,000

Total raised for reelection to date $947,000,000

From a fund raising perspective, I don't think he is going to quit.

Which would probably be Joe Biden's fondest dream. And Pence has considerable pull among conservative republicans who are now concerned that Trump might well drag them down with him.

So not an unexpected thing. If Trump's support falls to 35%, I think there might become a groundswell of republican pressure to get him to step aside and let Pence run.

I'm guessing the absolute basement for Trump has to be just below 40%, though.

Joe Biden reported raising $10 million more than President Trump last month amid new polls showing the former vice president holding a solid lead in the race for the White House.
Biden surpasses Trump in June fundraising

Republicans generally beat democrats in fund-raising. This pulls up another red flag for Trump.
