Deuteronomy 22:
6
If a bird’s nest happens to be before you along the way, in any tree or on the ground, with young ones or eggs, with the mother sitting on the young or on the eggs, you shall not take the mother with the young;
7 you shall surely let the mother go, and take the young for yourself, that it may be well with you and that you may prolong your days.

These two verses are not enough to get you a degree in wildlife management.
A job interview in such a career would not go well simply by saying "I know what
to do if I find a bird's nest on the ground".

What is revealed to us is the Father's heart pertaining such things.
This is why The Law is spoken of as our wisdom, as we come to know our Father better.
It is not necessarily an exhaustive knowledge on every topic.
A young person can pursue a career in wildlife management knowing their heavenly Father
approves of such concerns. They will need more knowledge.

On the other hand, if you were walking through a park and saw a turtle in distress, you would not say 'the Torah didn't say anything about turtles. You either feel compassion and a desire to help, or not. A wicked person might do something cruel to the animal.
The Law will convict them.

How has the Word of God, or the Spirit of the Lord directed you to act in a way to please the Father and do His Will without a commandment or statute?
Is this not the Law written on our heart?

Is this not the Law written on our heart?

It is ... and the Law is written on everybody's heart .... that is why no one is without excuse.

There are more ways to do what is righteous or sinful than what God's law specifically prescribes or prohibits, but God's law is spiritual in that it has always been intended to teach us deeper spiritual principles of which the listed laws are just examples, and which are the character traits of God. For example, all of God's righteous laws teach us about His righteousness and allow us to abstract a principle of righteousness that can guide us in how we should act in situations that are not specifically prescribed or prohibited by the law. So the Mosaic Law teaches us how to know God and how to thereby grow in a relationship with Him.

Yes, that is what the OP conveys. Not about what is righteous or sinful per se, but to know the
Father's heart. He is wise and compassionate. We find that in the Law. We are directed to live that
way by His Spirit.

1 Corinthians 9:
3
My defense to those who examine me is this:
4 Do we have no right to eat and drink?
5 Do we have no right to take along a believing wife, as do also the other apostles, the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas?
6 Or is it only Barnabas and I who have no right to refrain from working?
7 Whoever goes to war at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard and does not eat of its fruit? Or who tends a flock and does not drink of the milk of the flock?
8 Do I say these things as a mere man? Or does not the law say the same also?
9 For it is written in the law of Moses, “You shall not muzzle an ox while it treads out the grain. Is it oxen God is concerned about?
10 Or does He say it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written, that he who plows should plow in hope, and he who threshes in hope should be partaker of his hope.
11 If we have sown spiritual things for you, is it a great thing if we reap your material things?
