Still to this day...nothing verified by the intelligence community, nor any evidence of any kind that supports the New York Times "big news" item...so insignificant that in fact the POTUS wasn't even briefed on the matter...the good news is that yet another leaking traitor of the United States will be ferreted out and treated appropriately.

Of course...no surprise when it comes to the New York Times and their MSM cohorts...they get caught in one lie after another and have lost all credibility with the exception of the die hards on the left still clinging to their favorite anti POTUS MSM news source that attempts to discredit the POTUS and whitewash and ignore their failing party's crimes.

Big fail on their part...again.

Do you have some evidence we don't at this point? As far as we can tell this was again an unfounded report from the Times.

Information came in, Trump wasn't advised. The information wasn't verified and suddenly Trump is once again accused of being in bed with the Russians.

We can discuss this again once the report is verified okay? This may just be another hoax.

So the intelligence community did not have this as a report? This has not been verified by several independent sources as being data that has been reported to several high level figures in our and other governments?

A hoax by whom? The intelligence community?

In order to save face, Donald must establish ignorance... usually no difficult task.

We can discuss this again once the report is verified okay? This may just be another hoax.

A hoax would be if none of it ever happened. Since the United Kingdom has already confirmed that they got the report, clearly it's no hoax.

...but Donald doesn't know many other words for it, so the approved vocabulary is quite small.

Yeah, you have a point - just because it was in his briefings or just because he was told doesn't mean he had knowledge. After all, maybe Donald just wasn't paying attention at those moments....or he forgot.
show your evidence that Trump was told because the national security advisor who would know clearly said that Trump was not told about this. How about giving the facts and truth some value.

We'd have to start by determining if Donald has knowledge of any facts... he has a pattern of making things up as he goes.
That is nothing but an unsupported shot, unfair and below dignity.

The Brits learned of this from the American Intelligence report... apparently it was worth sharing with every head of state except our own.

Below Donald's dignity? I don't recall picking up a shovel.

Meanwhile, seems like everyone but Donald was in the loop...

NATO officials say they were briefed on Russian bounties on US soldiers in Afghanistan — even though Trump claims he wasn't

...which is actually reasonable: One should only share intelligence with people willing to do something with it.

A hoax by whom? The intelligence community?

Thats what I'm asking. The accusation was out there, but was it verified? I'm sure the intelligence community was all told "hey these guys said the Russians are paying bounties for dead US soldiers."

Bilut that doesn't make it true. I just read that some unnamed officials said that back in February the information was put in the Daily Brief. But there were still concerns over the validity of the issue.

So I don't know. This is all very troubling to me. I don't know if we are all getting good info from anyone.

Some "officials" have said they found a money trail from Russia to the Taliban. Which would not surprise me in the least. Russia is NOT our friend and never has been. That Russia would support the Taliban is exactly something they would do. I'm sure they oppose us everywhere. They do stuff to mess with our elections, to sow chaos. When I think bounty though I think "for every American soldier you kill we'll pay you a million bucks", or something like that rather than "oh, you are fighting Americans? Here's a million bucks for your war."

Anyway, it appears Trump wasn't told about it because they hadn't verified it.

I'm just going to wait and see at this point.

Russian Bounty on US Soldiers...and Trump’s known for months...

Its been reported that John Bolton verbally briefed the Present when he was National Security Adviser on the the Russian bounty and that it also appeared in Commander-in-Chief's daily briefing notes on February 29th, 2020 - which would require that Trump actually reads them!

Given that it is public knowledge that this President had personal conversations with Putin 5X since February 27th, 2020, his advisers should have reminded of these intelligence reports of bounties - assuming that Trump would even allow himself to be briefed prior to conversations with the Russian President!

The fact that after 4 days, everyone except the President and the Russian authorities have continued taking these reports of a bounty on American troops in Afghanistan seriously indicates that the Trump Administration doesn't have the evidence to expose the NYT stories as false and make them go away!

And the newspapers do? The newspapers always tell the truth too right? Whatever we read in print or hear on TV is God's honest truth? I don't think so.

Why don't we just not go off half [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] d on this yet. I mean that's what happened to the Mueller investigation only to discover that the collusion narrative was false. Let's not just believe this one too. At least not yet.

And let's not automatically jump to Trump knew and did nothing except pamper Putin. Can we not jump off a cliff this time?

They were alerted that we had unconfirmed intelligence. Nothing unusual about that, we exchange unconfirmed intelligence with many countries. The president is not burdened with all the unconfirmed intelligence that is generated, it would be counter productive to take up his time every time we think something might be going on but cannot confirm that it is.

Since when has this President required proof and certification when he chooses to go public with unsubstantiated accusations - his recent assertion that Joe Scarborough, one of his fiercest critics on MSNBC, was involved in the death of his female assistant is just one in a long succession of bogus claims!

With 17 American intelligence agencies, the White House is never going to have unanimity on every claim, but those attaining a "high degree of confidence" should be brought to the President's attention - particularly when Trump's in the habit of doing the Russians favors such as recently withdrawing US troops out of Germany and/or inviting Putin to rejoin the G7!

I'm willing to accept that Donald knew nothing. Intel should only be shared with people who might do something useful with it.

Except our own it would seem.

Guess I have to keep repeating this until it is understood. Unconfirmed intelligence is shared with many and is labeled as unconfirmed intelligence. Unconfirmed intelligence is not normally part of the daily report for the president. The president receives a verbal brief in the interests of time and if something develops between briefings he is alerted.

You misspelled "believed."

Can you confirm this?

This is a classic example of how the msm works and how the public are played for fools. NYT posts a story based on who knows what because they never name or investigate a source and have been found to make up stories all on their own, the other msm repeat the report by saying the NYT is reporting.... then the commentary shows ask experts what Trump should be doing or should have done as if the report was ever a fact and then of course we have a bunch of negative coverage based on nothing. The hate Trump people want to believe anything negative about Trump so they repeat the story and post on it even though they are told time after time that there are no facts to support it. People seem to want to be fooled and do not want the facts to disturb their preconceived beliefs.

All this President need do is allow John Bolton to state publicly that he didn't brief him on this matter and release a declassified version of his February 27th, 2020 version of his daily brief showing that there was no mention of Russian bounties - the fact that he has done neither speaks volumes!
