It is amazing how some people will make Arbery responsible for McMichael murdering him. They even make excuses for the murderers .

What neighborhoods are your talking about that are suppose to be safe and are not safe? I used to live in Compton CA which was and is anything but safe! I got tired of dodging bullets, hearing gunshots, having to run to the rear of my house hoping no bullets enter the side of my walls and after having been shot at driving from work one day a bullet hitting my truck and after 3 children, just on my street, killed by drive byes I got the heck out of there and moved to a predominantly white neighborhood where I and my wife felt completely safe! So don't tell me about what is safe and unsafe you don't know what you're talking about!

I have never even been to the West coast of the U.S. so I will not even try to speak to your experience. But I am familiar with neighborhoods that are called "dangerous". My church is in a "dangerous" neighborhood and people are afraid to walk there. My church fellowships with other churches in "dangerous" neighborhoods in other cities. There are dangerous incidents happening there but people live there and thrive there until they can move to a better environment, just as you did.The trials people experience in those places produce some dynamic personalities. From Compton, I hear that some interesting people who are doing outstanding work in the world, have lived there, and they are proud to own it.I was just the other day watching the story of The Sylvers family who lived there before they got famous.Remember them? Maybe this video will help.
And there are other artists and actors who have come from Compton. so I hear. Some people who have contributed great things to society have come from "dangerous" neighborhoods. On the other hand, so called "safe" neighborhoods produce people who don't seem to do as well. I have wondered why? Steel tempered in the fire is strong...maybe? I don't know. But I do know that the lives of people from "dangerous" neighborhoods matter as much as the lives of people who live in "safe" neighborhoods. And some people who move from "dangerous" neighborhoods into "predominantly white" or "safe" neighborhoods are finding themselves harassed, and/or threatened by their "friendly neighbors".

As I've said before, charging at and attacking a man with a shotgun is the worst idea for "self defense" ever. Don't think I've ever even seen that done in a Hollywood action movie.

My point is that McMichaels had no right to pull a gun on this man. Are you saying he did? And yes, when someone Unjustifiably pulls a weapon on you, you have a right to defend yourself.
