Alma 41

8 Now, the decrees of God are unalterable; therefore, the way is prepared that whosoever will may walk therein and be saved.

Since "words of God are unchangeable" how can one say the Bible was changed?

Matthew 5:18
For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled

Proverbs 30:5-6 ESV
Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.

Isaiah 40:8 ESV
The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.

Matthew 24:35 ESV
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.

Psalm 12:6-7 ESV
The words of the Lord are pure words, like silver refined in a furnace on the ground, purified seven times. You, O Lord, will keep them; you will guard us from this generation forever.

The manuscripts of the Bible have been preserved. Any variations are minor and does not change the message of the Bible.

There is no need my friend, to restore what has not been lost.

Jeremiah 26:13 Therefore now amend your ways and your doings, and obey the voice of the Lord your God; and the Lord will repent him of the evil that he hath pronounced against you.

Ezekiel 24:14I the Lord have spoken it: it shall come to pass, and I will do it; I will not go back, neither will I spare, neither will I repent; according to thy ways, and according to thy doings, shall they judge thee, saith the Lord God.

Amos 7:6The Lord repented for this: This also shall not be, saith the Lord God.

Jonah 3:10And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.

Romans 11:29For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

Check these in other translations to get to their true meaning. There really is not a contradiction.

Based on some of those texts the Bible will not loose anything important doctrine wise.

Yet there are verses that say He did repent and they were wrong.

Galatians 2:19
It was the law itself that caused me to end my life under the law. I died to the law so that I could live for God. I have been nailed to the cross with Christ.

Gal 2
15 We are Jews by birth. We were not born “sinners,” as we call those who are not Jews. 16 But we know that no one is made right with God by following the law. It is trusting in Jesus Christ that makes a person right with God. So we have put our faith in Christ Jesus, because we wanted to be made right with God. And we are right with him because we trusted in Christ—not because we followed the law. I can say this because no one can be made right with God by following the law.

17 We Jews came to Christ to be made right with God, so it is clear that we were sinners too. Does this mean that Christ makes us sinners? Romans 3
19 What the law says is for those who are under the law. It stops anyone from making excuses. And it brings the whole world under God’s judgment, 20 because no one can be made right with God by following the law. The law only shows us our sin.

27 So do we have any reason to boast about ourselves? No reason at all. And why not? Because we are depending on the way of faith, not on what we have done in following the law. 28 I mean we are made right with God through faith, not through what we have done to follow the law. This is what we believe. 29 God is not only the God of the Jews. He is also the God of those who are not Jews. 30 There is only one God. He will make Jews right with him by their faith, and he will also make non-Jews right with him through their faith. 31 So do we destroy the law by following the way of faith? Not at all! In fact, faith causes us to be what the law actually wants.

Romans 4
13 Abraham and his descendants received the promise that they would get the whole world. But Abraham did not receive that promise because he followed the law. He received that promise because he was right with God through his faith. 14 If people could get God’s promise by following the law, then faith is worthless. And God’s promise to Abraham is worthless, 15 because the law can only bring God’s anger on those who disobey it. But if there is no law, then there is nothing to disobey.

16 So people get what God promised by having faith. This happens so that the promise can be a free gift. And if the promise is a free gift, then all of Abraham’s people will get that promise. The promise is not just for those who live under the Law of Moses. It is for all who live with faith as Abraham did.

Romans 6
14 Sin will not be your master, because you are not under law. You now live under God’s grace.

Slaves of Goodness
15 So what should we do? Should we sin because we are under grace and not under law? Certainly not!

In short, one has a choice to walk in the Spirit and be a Servant of Jesus or be a slave to the law. It is not an Spirit and Law Situation for a Christian.
