Empty words. Appreciation of what exactly?

Your response here...

None of those scripture say God's 7th day Sabbath is abolished. ROMANS 7:7 says that through the law we have a knowledge of what sin is and JAMES 2:8-11 says if we break one of Gods 10 commandments we stand before God guilty of breaking all of God's law because we are condemned in sin.
One down....

Your response here...
.
Where does it say here that JESUS is a Sabbath? - nope. God's Word alone defines what the SABBATH is here....

EXODUS 20:10, BUT THE SEVENTH DAY IS THE SABBATH OF THE LORD YOUR GOD: in it you shall not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger that is within your gates

None of those scriptures say JESUS is a Sabbath. Look at the context of HEBREWS 4 that your leaving out here which is stating that the SEVENTH DAY IS THE SABBATH...

WHAT IS HIS REST (God's) IN HEBREWS 3 and HEBREWS 4?

HEBREWS 4
[1], Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
[2], For to us was the gospel preached, as well as to them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
[3], For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
[4], For he spoke in a certain place of the SEVENTH DAY on this wise, And God did rest the SEVENTH DAY from all his works.
5,
And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.

KEY POINTS OF HEBREWS 4:1-5

NOTE: CONTEXT is God's REST from the SEVENTH DAY SABBATH REST OF CREATION (v4-5) and those who BELIEVE and FOLLOW GOD's WORD [the GOSPEL] enter into God's SABBATH REST as GOD did on the SEVENTH DAY of the week. CONTEXT is GOD's SEVENTH DAY SABBATH REST and those who believe or do not believe God's WORD do not enter into that rest.

[6], Seeing therefore it remains that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
[7], Again, he limits a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if you will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
[8], For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.
[9] SO THEN, IT REMAINS FOR THE PEOPLE OF GOD TO KEEP THE SABBATH.

[10], For he that is entered into his rest, he also has ceased from his own works, as God did from his. [11], Let us labor therefore to enter that rest, [God’s REST the SEVENTH DAY SABBATH] lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief [rejecting God’s WORD and sin; Hebrews 3].

KEY POINTS OF HEBREWS 4:9

Now notice Hebrews 4, verse 9: “SO THEN, IT REMAINS FOR THE PEOPLE OF GOD TO KEEP THE SABBATH.” In verses 1, 3, 4 and 8, the Greek word for “rest” is katapausin. It means “rest.” But in verse 9, the Greek word for “rest” is sabbatismos, which is a Hebrew word—Sabbat, which means “the Sabbath”—combined with a Greek suffix—ismos, which means “a keeping of” or “a doing of.” Put together, sabbatismo means “a keeping of the Sabbath.” When correctly translated, Hebrews 4:9 should read, “There remains therefore a keeping of the Sabbath to the people of God.”

................

INTERLINEAR HEBREWS 4:9

αρα απολειπεται σαββατισμος τω λαω του θεου
So then there remains a Sabbath rest to the people - of God

................

Parallel translations of HEBREWS 4:9

New International Version
There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God;

English Standard Version
So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God,

Berean Study Bible
So there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God.

Berean Literal Bible
So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God.

New American Standard Bible
So there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God.

Christian Standard Bible
Therefore, a Sabbath rest remains for God's people.

Holman Christian Standard Bible
Therefore, a Sabbath rest remains for God's people.

International Standard Version
There remains, therefore, a Sabbath rest for the people of God to keep,

NET Bible
Consequently a Sabbath rest remains for the people of God.

New Heart English Bible
There remains therefore a Sabbath rest for the people of God.

Aramaic Bible in Plain English
SO THEN, IT REMAINS FOR THE PEOPLE OF GOD TO KEEP THE SABBATH.

............

As shown above Point 2's answer is down. God's Word defines God's SABBATH as the SEVENTH DAY of the week not JESUS...

As can be shown above you did not answer point 1 and point 2 as shown above.

Where is the scripture that says JESUS is a Sabbath as shown above Gods' Word disagrees with you. I will go through the rest of them as I get some time. Please feel free to start with my response from your first two claims.

More to follow....

So maybe you're not the sweet brother I thought you were. More of a pickle I would say! Not even a thank you for wasting so much of my time answering every single answer according to the New Covenant. Oy Vey! You might want to come to Jesus and lift that veil that is making you blind to the New Covenant.

15 But even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart. 16 Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17 Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

For this is the love of God, that we may be keeping His precepts. And His precepts are not heavy,

Are we in the land or not?

Did YHWH tell Israel to stone adulterers outside of the jurisdiction of the land?

Will YHWH allow adulterers in his kingdom?
You tell me. We stoned Sabbath breakers at Sinai, who said we need to be in the land?

No need God's Word does that *JOHN 12:47-48. Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment *JOHN 7:24. According to the scriptures he that said, I know him, and keeps not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him *1 JOHN 2:4.
Matthew 7:1
Do not judge so that you will not be judged. For in the way you judge, you will be judged.

Have you read the definition of annulled?

Definition of annul
transitive verb

1 : to declare or make legally invalid or void wants the marriage annulled His title to the estate was annulled.
2 : to reduce to nothing : obliterate

That's not the word I would use for an activity that is on hold until the Levitical Priesthood reassembles.
Just support your claim with the scripture.

If you believe that sacrifices are on hold, then support it.

If you believe the Levite activities are on hold, then support it.

If the Levite labor is on hold, then obviously, tithing to the priesthood is on hold also.

I already did. I've been doing some study on this subject. I've taken some notes. I've read much more that supports my assertion, which are not included in my notes. You'll have to excuse me; but this is a major work in progress. My notes are very disorganized.

Ezekiel 43:

19 And you have given unto the priests, the Levites, who [are] of the seed of Zadok--who are near unto Me, an affirmation of the Lord Yahweh, to serve Me--a calf from the herd, for a sin-offering." 20 And you have taken of its blood, and have put it on its four horns, and on the four corners of its border, and on the border round about, and have cleansed it, and purified it." 21 And you have taken the bullock of the sin-offering, and have burnt it in the appointed place of the house at the outside of the sanctuary." 22 And on the second day you do bring near a kid of the goats, a perfect one, for a sin-offering, and they have cleansed the altar, as they cleansed [it] for the bullock." 23 In your finishing cleansing, you do bring near a calf, a son of the herd, a perfect one, and a ram out of the flock, a perfect one." 24 And you have brought them near before Yahweh, and the priests have cast upon them salt, and have caused them to go up, a burnt-offering to Yahweh." 25 Seven days you do prepare a goat for a sin-offering daily, and a bullock, a son of the herd, and a ram out of the flock, perfect ones, do they prepare." 26 Seven days they purify the altar, and have cleansed it, and filled their hand." 27 And the days are completed, and it has come to pass on the eighth day, and henceforth, the priests prepare on the altar your burnt-offerings and your peace-offerings, and I have accepted you--an affirmation of the Lord Yahweh.'"

Ezekiel 45

(CLV) Isa 56:7
I will bring them also to My holy mountain And make them rejoice in My house of prayer; Their ascent offerings and their sacrifices They shall offer up for acceptance on My altar, For My house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples.

(CLV) Jer 33:18
As for the Levitical priests there shall not be cut off a man from before Me who offers up the ascent offering and fumes the approach present and offers sacrifices for all the days.

In that day there shall be on the horse shades: Holy to Yahweh. And the pots in the house of Yahweh will be like the sprinkling bowls before the altar.

(CLV) Zch 14:21
And every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah will come to be holy to Yahweh of hosts. And all who are sacrificing will come and take of them and cook in them. And no longer shall there be a trafficker in the house of Yahweh of hosts, in that day.

(CLV) Mal 3:3
And He will sit like a refiner and a cleanser of silver. And He will cleanse the sons of Levi, and purify them like gold and like silver. And they will come to be for Yahweh, bringing close the approach present in righteousness.

(CLV) Mal 3:4
Then the approach present of Judah and Jerusalem will be congenial to Yahweh as in the days of the eon, and as in former years.

For many days shall the sons of Israel dwell without king and without chief official, And without sacrifice and without altar, And without ephod or Urim and Thummim.

(CLV) Dn 9:26
After the sixty-two sevens, Messiah shall be cut off, and there will be no adjudication for Him. The city and the holy place shall be laid in ruins with the other governor's coming; then its end is by an overflowing, and until the end of the war, desolations will be decided.

(CLV) Dn 9:27
Then he will be master of a covenant with many for one seven; at half of the seven, he shall cause to cease the sacrifice and the approach present; on a wing of the sanctuary shall be desolating abominations. Until the conclusion of the era the decided conclusion shall be poured forth on the desolation.

Empty words. Appreciation of what exactly?

Of the magnitude of what Jesus did in freeing us from sin, and the need for the written law, having the eternal law written on our hearts by the Spirit of God.

The Sabbath is not eternal. It was not part of the eternal law of love God with all your heart, soul and body, and love your neighbor as yourself. It was a holy convocation that was not kept before given to Moses.

The Sabbath was never meant to be an idol, but you revere it more than you know and abide in Jesus. His Spirit would tell you the Truth.

Luke 23:56 "they rested on the Sabbath according to THE COMMANDMENT"

Seems like you might be listening to the wrong spirit.

I'm sorry you believe that. Being baptized with the Holy Spirit is something a Law keeper probably can never experience. You are still keeping the Sabbath with your flesh, because it is something that cannot be written on your heart. It was the sign of the Old Covenant, but the New Covenant is written on our heart and we have a new sign of the New Covenant indicative of the blood of Jesus it is based on.

Answer this question: Are you a sinner? You keep the Law, so what does that do for you?

JESUS and the Apostles disagree with you Bob...

Jesus taught the 10 commandments…..

1. Jesus kept God’s Law (10 commandments) and said the Law and the prophets would not pass away (Matthew 5:17-18)
2. Jesus taught others to follow the 10 commandments (Mark 10:17-21)
3. Jesus taught that Love is the fulfilling (doing) of God’s Law (10 commandments Matthew 22:36-40)
4. If we break God’s Law by following man-made traditions we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)
5. Jesus says if we commit sin we are a servant of sin and he has come to free us from sin (John 8:32-36)
6. Jesus taught if you love God you will keep God’s Law and abide in His Love (John 14:15; 15:10
7. If anyone is breaking any of God’s commandments and teaching others to do so will be called least in the kingdom of heaven <least = lost> (Matthew 5:19)
8. No one can obey God’s Law producing the fruit of obedience of ourselves and unless we abide in Jesus we can do nothing (John 15:4-10)

Paul affirms the Ten Commandments……

1. Paul teaches God's people keep the Sabbath Hebrews 4.
2. Paul tells gentiles that "what matters is KEEPING the Commandments of GOD" 1 Corinthians 7:19
3. Paul tells gentiles "it is not the HEARERS of the Law that are just before God but the DOERS of the Law will be justified... on the day when according to my GOSPEL God will judge all mankind" Romans 2:13-16
4. Paul asks that gentiles consider the doctrine of LAW "Do we then make void the LAW of God by our faith? God forbid! In fact we establish the Law of God" Romans 3:31
5. Paul tells ALL Christians that it is only the lost who will "not subject themselves to the Law of God neither indeed CAN they" Romans 8:6-8
6 Paul reaches all Christians under the NEW Covenant that God's LAW as known in Jer 31:31-33 is "written on the heart and mind" Hebrews 8:7-11
7. Paul tells all Christians that the OT text is to be used for Doctrine 2 Timothy 3:16
AND He never claims that "if I did not write it -- it is not scripture for us today" -- as one or two have imagined for us.
8. Paul tells all Christians that the 5th commandment is the "FIRST commandment with a promise" Ephesians 6:1-2 and is binding on all Christians.
9. God's Law (10 commandments) are holy, just and good (Romans 7:12)
10. God's Law gives us a knowledge of what sin is (Romans 3:20; 7:7)
11. The penalty of breaking God's Law without Jesus is death (Romans 6:23)
12. If we break God's Law we dishonor God (Romans 2:23)
13. If we sin we are "under the Law" and guilty before God (Romans 3:19)
14. We are saved by faith but our faith establishes the Law in us (Romans 3:31)
15. If we are saved by grace we should not break God's Law (Romans 6:1-7)
16. We should not break God's Law if we are under grace (Romans 6:15)
17. We are to serve the Law of God through the mind because that is where sin starts (Romans 6:17; 7:25; 8:4; 12:2)
18. It is God's Law that brings us to Jesus (Galatians 3:24)
19. God's salvation frees us from sin so we can be obedient to God's Law and live a life of holiness (Romans 6:22)
20. We will be judged by God's Law and only those that are obedient will be justified because of their faith (Romans 2:4-13)
21. God's Law can only be obeyed through love and a changed heart which comes by faith in God's Word (Romans 2:21-29; 13:9-10; Hebrews 8:9-10)
22. If we break God's Law and are in unrepentant sin we will be lost and will received God's judgements (Hebrews 10:26-27)

John affirms the 10 commandments……

1. John says it is only by keeping God’s 10 commandments that we know that we know God (1 John 2:3)
2. If someone says that they know God and do not keep God’s 10 commandments they are lying and not telling the truth (1 John 2:4)
3. We should purify ourselves as Jesus is pure (1 John 3:3)
4. Sin is the breaking of God’s 10 commandments (1 John 3:4)
5. Whoever is abiding in Christ does not commit sin (1 John 3:6; John 15:4-10)
6. If you are in unrepentant sin you have not seen Jesus or know him (1 John 3:6)
7. John warns us that only those that are obedience to God’s Law are his true followers (1 John 3:7)
8. If someone is committing unrepentant sin they are following the devil and not God (1 John 3:7)
9. If you are born of God and abiding in him you will not commit sin (1 John 3:9; 1 John 3:6; John 15:4-10

11. It is only by Love through faith that we can keep God’s commandments (1 John 5:3-4)
12. God’s true believers in the end days will keep all of God’s commandments through faith in Jesus (Rev 14:12; 22:14)

James also affirms the 10 commandments…….

1. James says God’s Law (10 commandments) are a Royal Law (James 2:8)

3. James says God’s Law is a law of liberty and freedom (James 2:12)
4. The 10 commandments (God’s Law) are the standard in the judgment (James 2:12)
5. If our faith does not have the fruit of obedience to God’s Law it is dead and not true faith (James 2:16-26)

Peter affirms the 10 commandments……..

2. We can only be changed from sin to obedience to God’s Law by the power of God and it will be revealed in the last days (1 Peter 1:5)

10 God is not willing that any should perish but that everyone should come to repentance and turn away from sin to follow God’s 10 commandments because those that do not will receive the judgements of God (2 Peter 3:5-14)

What did Jesus and the Apostles teach about the Sabbath in the New Testament?

1. It is lawful to do good on the Sabbath (Matthew 12:1-8; 10-12; 24:20; Mark 3:1-5; Luke 6:1-10; 13:14-16; 14:1-5; John 7:22-23; 9:14; Mark 1:21; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:16; 31; Luke 14:1; 23:56)
2. Jesus made the Sabbath for all mankind (Hebrews 1:2; John 1:1-3; 14; Ephesians 3:9; Colossians 1:16-17; Mark 2:27)
3. Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath (Mark 2:28)
4. If you do not believe and follow God you cannot enter His Sabbath rest (Hebrews 4)
5. It is one of God’s 10 commandments we break it we are guilty or breaking all (James 2:8-12)
6. Breaking it is sin (1 John 3:4)
7. God’s true followers keep it Holy as God commanded (Revelation 14:12; Revelation 22:14; Ezeliel 20:20)
8. Jesus is our example and he kept the Sabbath (Matthew 12:1-8; 10-12; 24:20; Mark 3:1-5; Luke 6:1-10; 13:14-16; 14:1-5; John 7:22-23; 9:14; Mark 1:21; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:16; 31; Luke 14:1; 23:56; John 2:6; Matthew 16:24; 1 Corinthians 11:1; Ephesians 5:1-21; Peter 2:20-22)
9. The Apostle kept the Sabbath (Acts 13:14; 13:27; 13:44; 15:21; 16:13; 17:2; 18:4; Revelation 1:10)

God’s Law in the NC is written on our hearts it is through love and it is love the fulfils God’s Law in us as we walk not after the flesh but after the spirit and is why Jesus says f you love me keep my commandments. (John 14:15; John 15:10). If we knowingly break one of God’s commandments we commit sin (1 John 3:4). This includes the 7th Day Sabbath which Jesus made for us and commands us to keep as a holy day.

...............

According to the scriptures, God's ISRAEL are all those who believe and follow God's Word *ROMANS 9:5-8. If we are not a part of God's ISRAEL then we have no part in God's new covenant promise *HEBREWS 8:10-12 from JEREMIAH 31:31-34. Gentile believers are now grafted in *ROMANS 11:13-27. We are all now one in Christ *GALATIANS 3:28-29.

Sorry Bob it seems God's Word disagrees with you.

Hope this is helpful

You haven't asked about it; it was my answer to your question. But you are not giving me credit that I did indeed answer your question. You think the correct answer is something else, and accuse me of not answering. But my answer will remain the same no matter how many times you want it to be different.

Same with James 2. You don't understand verse 12, only that James recites the royal law commandments to others. So let me ask you what does verse 12 mean? You can't possibly know. I see you are now adding it to the address, but not the actual verse. You only copy and paste to verse 11.

Then you quote Romans 7:7. Yes, Paul is talking about the Ten Commandments in Romans 7. Do you know why? Because Paul is contrasting Romans 7 with Romans 8! The law of the SPIRIT of life in Christ, has freed me from the law of sin and death (Romans 7).

Yes, SIN is breaking the LAW - the Ten Commandments! But what you cannot understand is why Jesus came? Please answer this question so I can continue answering yours, sweet brother. ;)
Sin is not breaking a ceremonial law, Sabbath, given to one nation SP. Otherwise your post is right on. Deut 5:5 And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the Lord thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the Lord thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.

God has never ever asked any other people to observe a day.

No. You were trying to make arguments about God getting tired to which I said God's Sabbath is not about God getting tired. It is a memorial of creation and God as our creator of heaven and earth pointing back to GENESIS 2:1-3. God has given it to mankind as a memorial "REMEMBER" the sabbath day to keep it holy.... *EXODUS 20:8-11; MARK 2:27-28
Nonsense LGW. The Sabbath was given to Israel and there is absolutely no command in the Exodus version to remember creation. Remember in the Exodus account refers to the Sabbath not to the part about God resting or creating. In the Deuteronomy account "remember" is directly linked to God's delivering them from servitude in Egypt. There is nothing to link the command to being a "memorial of creation". It being a memorial of creation is an unchallenged non biblical cliché and used by Ellen White 119 times.

Deut 5:5 And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the Lord thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the Lord thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.
Ex 20:
8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: 10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: 11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

No, we have done this over many years now. You continue to ignore my posts and questions to you yet expect everyone to answer yours. I asked the questions first how about you start in good faith then I will be happy to answer yours?
Kinda reminds me of someone very dear to me, but very stubborn. She visited her friend and as she was leaving she made a statement. It went like this: Now, I came to your house last and now it is your turn to come to mine and the fact is she was so stubborn that she wouldn't go to her friend's house until after the friend visited her. That is kinda like cutting ones nose off to spite ones face.

Someone be a sport and answer the questions.

Ok let me start and go the extra mile. JESUS came to save us from our sins (breaking God's Commandments and not believing His Word) and give us the power to walk free from known sin as we believe and follow His Word and walk in His Spirit of love. This is the new covenant promise *HEBREWS 8:10-12; ROMANS 8:1-4; GALATIANS 5:16....
Great LGW, I commend you for taking the high road.
