His Russian bank loans for one thing...
Putin and Trump discussed collusion and whether the campaign colluded with Russia to do what Putin denied ever happened in the first place. They agreed they didn't collude to do what never happened.

The two issues are inextricably linked. What's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. Apparently you think the President should attempt to confront Russia over this matter. You know what the Russians are going to say - and who could blame them? Ultimately, the Red Army resolved their predicament in Afghanistan by withdrawing. Perhaps the US should do the same.

What did the US do when the Red Army was in Afghanistan? The US can't object about this without being laughed at.

Excuse me...? Which US President was arranging bounties to have Russian soldiers killed...??

And how does that have anything to do with THIS president, yet again, standing idly by while his corrupt buddy puts bullseyes on the backs of US troops...?

What a disgraceful justification..! Is this an example of ‘Support the Troops’ that you people are so fond of trumpeting...??

I tell you what...there are soldiers from my country also that have/are serving in Afghanistan. If it had been revealed that these bounties were also being paid to assassinate Australian troops and the response from our Prime Minister had effectively been “Well, we shouldn’t have been there in the first place and maybe we should leave”...there wouldn’t be enough tar and feathers to adequately deal with him...!

Hang your head...

That was 40 years ago and very different circumstances. The Soviets invaded Afganistan. Thanks to that, the Taliban developed and they supported Al Queda who are responsible for 9/11.

The president is not confronting Putin, and i don't trust his negotiating abilities to do that. Trump doesn't need to try and get Russia back in the G7.

Invading and occupying Afghanistan on one hand...

...vs invading and occupying Afghanistan on the other?

Have you forgotten 9/11 and the Taliban's support of Osama Bin Laden?

That would be Reagan.

Well, guess what? Your link said "coalition forces" which does include Australian troops. So let's see what your Prime Minister does about it...

That was 40 years ago and very different circumstances. The Soviets invaded Afganistan. Thanks to that, the Taliban developed and they supported Al Queda who are responsible for 9/11.

Were the Taliban allies or enemies of the Soviets?

Have you forgotten 9/11 and the Taliban's support of Osama Bin Laden?

The Taliban, if you remember, was toppled not by US troops but by troops of the Afghan Northern Alliance. Then, instead of leaving, the US set up shop and occupied the country. Even after Bin Laden was confirmed dead, the US still didn't leave. So I'm thinking this was not really about 9/11 and Bin Laden.

wow do you feel that way about the airplanes full of cash that Obama sent to Iran that was then used to sponsor terrorism and explosives use against our troops.
The "cash" was the rightfully property of the Iranian government that America "froze" in Western banks after the embassy hostage taking and regime change in the late 70's - it was part of the nuclear deal that the Trump Administration later refused to honor!

A better question would be as to why this President has chosen not to freeze the accounts and assets of the Russian government and its oligarchs in retaliation for Putin putting a bounty on the lives of American soldiers?

It is well known the Russian billionaires have a long history of laundering their money by purchasing real estate and other assets in the West - a safeguard against having to make a quick exit should the political climate in that country suddenly turn against them!

I realise that Biden isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but I think he gets this one right...

“Not only has he failed to sanction or impose any kind of consequences on Russia for this egregious violation of international law, Donald Trump has continued his embarrassing campaign of deference and debasing himself before Vladimir Putin... "

Yep...I would hope that the reactions to this outrage would be quick.....and strong.
This President's reaction to Bolton's book was "quick and strong" - to Putin, not so much; because Trump wasn't being attacked/embarrassed personally which for a "narcissist" can only be regarded as the cardinal sin that can never be ignored!

Well it could be because it didnt happen, if the NYP says it I doubt it and so should you. Show me some evidence that this rumor that the NYT published has any truth in it. Funny thing people want evidence for a statement made by the White House but if the NYT says something without any indications of the source or reliability of the information it is automatically accepted as fact as long as it is showing Trump in an unfavorable light, is there a double standard there or do people just believe what they want to believe as long as it reinforces their opinion, regardless of how wrong they my be.
