Man, 18, charged for 'unprovoked' assault of Macy's manager in viral video

I want to be sarcastic and justify it by saying 'He was called the N word, therefore he got what he deserved' but given the nature of the current dialogue I think some seem to believe it. We are seeing people justify the riots and not even call it violence since property can be replaced (Nicole Hannah Jones). Why should this black man be charged with anything? He's the victim of systematic oppression! It's society's fault he lashed out at this individual.

Of course I don't believe this employee said anything of the kind to this guy and was likely just the target of what seems to me a genuinely racist attack. Yet I have to say the employee should learn some self defense and start working out after this because he looked pathetic in that video begging not to be hurt.

I want to call the manager a coward for not fighting back but that just tells me i still have too much pride

In my opinion we'll likely never know if the manager used the N word or not but physical violence is never the answer. I must remember that myself, unless Im defending someone else
