Although I'm trying to make a bit more money, I also keep myself from speaking of good things about money - because I'm also very well aware how money can easily blind people from the truth and lead them to do things are not good in the Lord's sight.

I think your convictions are sincere. You don’t denounce other’s wealth while trying to make a mint on the side.

I pray your work prospers. How is the programming coming along?

I'd rather see people burning money than hear them speak about money like a financial expert.

The world's wealth is mostly accummulated in most of history through violence, theft, enslavement, and deceit - the work of the devil.

We all work hard for wealth that is stolen from God. This is why we cannot love both God and Money. Because one of them represents all the good in this world, while the other represents all the evil that is in th world.

We are told to use our money for good before it fails.

"Money is a wonderful servant, but a cruel master."

Burn the money...hunt for the treasure.

Or, find a field that has a treasure hidden in it...and use the money to buy the whole field.

I've personally known Christians who tried to get rich so they can better help other people. They did get rich but the process corrupted them more than the help it did. Although they managed their wealth quite sustainably, they became blinded to the truth which is far more important thing.

It's like two steps forward and three steps back.

Thanks for the well wishes Bella. Programming has taken a backseat for now, due to other priorities but will definitely get back to it.

I just don't speak positively of material wealth / money. Jesus is simply giving us options but the best option is still not use a single dime. You can earn money if that is an option you are comfortable with but it's still better if your faith is strong to do as the Lord did.

I still try to earn money because I'm more comfortable with it than getting myself lost in the middle of a forest and come out with a glowing face. Although it's a very tempting option, I don't have faith yet.

We are not judged for not trying but are judged for not believing (rejecting) the Words of our Lord (John 12:48).

A goodly portion of the people are not able...to speak...on elections...

Most who don't vote do so voluntarily. State, local, and special elections in particular routinely show poor voter turnout.

Aren't we all grasping blindly at the same elephant?

Why would anyone do that?
Read a little book written in the late '60s called Black Like Me and you might understand why someone might do that. It was required reading in my freshman high school English class.
I'm also very well aware how money can easily blind people from the truth and lead them to do things are not good in the Lord's sight.
Money can also blind one to the plight of the poor because they don't see them. They don't live in poor neighborhoods, their kids don't go to those schools, and they don't even shop in the same places.
