We refuse to pass the laws needed to get them off the streets. They are grist for the mill of ever increasing tax funded legal and social programs. Why kill the goose that lays them golden eggs.

We have addressed that in our discourse. The fact remains, that is the reality for most. From my understanding, the aim was shedding light on the problem. Which you’ve done. Addressing issues always brings in the personal because some touch us more than others.

You mention crime in Chicago to make an assessment and point about Chicago... how about reading the article of the OP and responding to that?

Wow, I thought those verses spoke for themselves. The point is descending from a higher echelon (in man's view) into the plight of the lower realms.

That would be stupid, it would only bring about more police reform. The more they publicly abuse their power, the more the public will push to take power away from them.

lol, I don't. I still have a job and don't want to be poor myself.

I simply find it distasteful for anyone to lay the blame on the poor or look at them with disapproval.

Whatever we do (how we treat) the least of our brethren is how we treat the Lord. I've been poor, lived with the poor and been in very difficult situations that can break one's spirit and mind. So I can relate. Granted, there are many bad people among the poor BUT most of the poor aren't bad. They're just trying to survive, looking for hope.

This is why I constantly speak against anything that speaks so badly of the poor and things that further puts them at a disadvantage.

Although I'm trying to make a bit more money, I also keep myself from speaking of good things about money - because I'm also very well aware how money can easily blind people from the truth and lead them to do things are not good in the Lord's sight.

I'd rather see people burning money than hear them speak about money like a financial expert.

The world's wealth is mostly accummulated in most of history through violence, theft, enslavement, and deceit - the work of the devil.

We all work hard for wealth that is stolen from God. This is why we cannot love both God and Money. Because one of them represents all the good in this world, while the other represents all the evil that is in th world.

If they continue with their rampages public opinion will turn in favor of law and order (it may already have). There are more moving parts to this mess, namely that there is no good reason for it at all.
