Why should a Christian want to do that when you can talk to the supreme ruler of the Universe itself....God. Who's bigger? God. Who calls all the shots or what I mean who's in charge? God. So why seek to want to talk to someone under him when weren't instructed to come boldly to the throne of Grace.....I mean angels do good work and carry out assignments but who is the one who died for your sins and is the Lord of your life. Isn't that Jesus?

If God alone was able to protect us, he wouldn't created angels.
Sorry but there's absolutely nothing in scripture that confirms that. He may have created them and gave them assignments merely because he chose to.

Exactly.

God is all-powerful, he doesn't need angels. He could have done without them, had He wanted to.

You can't talk with him, because he will not answer you, but you can pray to him.
The scriptures indicate we're to put our focus on Christ. Problem with even entertaining the notion of wanting and seeking to drum of conversations with angels and the word prayer sounds like making requests.....UM no.....it's to God we're to pray. Jesus said himself, "Whatsoever you ask the Father in my name....." He didn't say anything about seeking dialogue or request making to angels. They're servants of God and they minister to our needs not independent from the instruction of God himself.

Of course. You can address him as follows*:

Holy Angel, attendant on my wretched soul and my afflicted life, do not abandon me, a sinner, nor depart from me because of my lack of self control. Give no place to the wicked demon to dominate me by taking over this mortal body of mine. Hold my wretched and feeble hand, and lead me on the way of salvation. Yes, holy Angel of God, guardian and protector of my wretched soul and body, forgive me everything that I have done to trouble you all the days of my life, and if I have sinned in anything today. Shelter me tonight, and preserve me from every prank of the enemy, that I may not anger God by any sin. Intercede with the Lord on my behalf, that He strengthen me in the fear of Him, and that He make me a worthy servant of His goodness. Amen.

The answer to your question depends on the church you belong to. If you were Orthodox or Roman Catholic, then you'd follow the advice of the priest and his advice would most likely be to go ahead. If you are (were) a member of a reformed church, praying to anyone but God would be considered inappropriate.

We have no reason to think that they do, but all the angels who appeared to humans in the Bible came with the appearance of males, so people have fallen into the habit of thinking of them (and addressing them) that way.

I get really disappointed trying to talk to other Christians at times. I understand that people are in different places with the Lord and His Kingdom. I also understand that He is teaching us, so we all know in part. I also understand that He doesn't do the same things in every part of His body. He has different purposes for different people. Still - Jesus Christ is the King of kings, the Lord of lords, and He has a kingdom that is not of this world, and concerning angels it is written:

Heb 1:14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out to render service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation?

also:

Ps 91:11 For He will give His angels charge concerning you,
To guard you in all your ways.

So - have we not been ministered to by those angels He sent? Perhaps we didn't pay attention? What happened? And if He has indeed put His angels charge concerning you, didn't you get to know them at all??

I'm sure I need to be more patient, but where are the Christians I can communicate with on this forum that know about the Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ?

I'm just saying that I hear from the Lord everyday, and if I am really paying attention I will usually pick up angels that He sent to minister to me also.

Saying this sometime gets a response from someone saying something like "What if they are demon?"

Have they not read anything about discerning between spirits???

My friends, evil spirit are coming and communicating with you daily also, whether you know it or not!! Have you not read that your battle is not with flesh and blood but the dark forces of this world? You are in that battle, so how is it you don't know about it? Maybe I am being too harsh, but we read and preach all this stuff in church and don't know about it? How is that.

OK - let me get of my high horse and just discuss what I have come across since knowing the King of kings. Maybe you can compare and consider it.

First - it is not "a guardian angel"!!!!

We should have read that there are more with you than against you!

My friends, you have access to the Kingdom of God!!!! Do you really think the only part of the Kingdom you get coming to help you is a single guardian angel? NO - I just showed you a verse that said "He will give His angels charge concerning you". - It doesn't say an angel, but angels - plural!!!

He once sent me 40 angels and told me to figure out their names. I never figured out all their names, but Praise (Judah) was in front, Obedience was the rearguard, the Joy of the Lord was at the right hand of praise, Reason was at the left of Praise, Focus was behind Praise, Intercession and Evangelism were next to each other behind Focus, and Success was behind them, toward the right behind Joy were Mercy, Peace, Grace, Patients and others that seem to minister those type of things and Happiness was all the way to the right. To the left behind Reason were angels like Planning, Organization, Provision, Finance, and all the way to the left was .. oh, just a second and I will remember his name - Contentment.

Now that angles, like people, have personalities. The name I figured out had to do with what they ministered but doesn't tell you all about their personality, and to figure out what they generally minister about you need to listen to them when the Lord sends them. You can also ask for them. Also, of course, one angel that minister something, like say Joy, is going to have the same personality as another angel of Joy that the Lord might send. Also, they don't take the place of knowing the Lord but they help understanding what is going on around you in the spirit realm. And frankly, they are very interesting to talk to.

And He said, “How shall we picture the kingdom of God, or by what parable shall we present it? “It is like a mustard seed, which, when sown upon the soil, though it is smaller than all the seeds that are upon the soil, yet when it is sown, it grows up and becomes larger than all the garden plants and forms large branches; so that THE BIRDS OF THE AIR can NEST UNDER ITS SHADE.”

Do we not know what the "Birds of the air" are?

A new Christian, in which the kingdom of God is starting to grow in, is not going to know about the angels, but what about the Christian who had known the Lord for a while? Have they not come to know the "Birds of the air"?

Angels, like God, are spirits. So you hear them with your spiritual ears, just like you hear from the Spirit of God. You also see them with your spiritual eyes. I'm not saying that isn't perhaps there is some in which God might be able to make them visible in another sense, but you see and hear spirits with your spiritual eyes and ears. If takes faith.

Now note: the Spirit of God is of course a spirit. So we often read "The angel of the Lord", referring to a specific angel "The angel of the Lord". The Holy Spirit - right? Never-the-less, we also read about men of God seeing many heavenly hosts!

Rev 10:1 I saw another strong angel coming down out of heaven ...

Jacob saw angels ascending and descending - and Jesus said something about seeing angels ascending and descending upon Him. And we should have read something about praying "Thy Kingdom Come", about "Seek first the Kingdom of God", and something about God not being slow to answer like we think.

Anyway - I usually pray "Thy Kingdom come" every morning so I usually pick up angels coming everyday. Yet the Lord and the Father often have gotten on to me about seeing with my spiritual eyes more, and about working with the angels sent to me. God is right to get on to me about that. He tells me things like, 'Karl, you wouldn't drive your car with your eyes close, so why do you go around with your spiritual eyes closed?"

I tell you why - Franky it can be weird! Also, I am not always sure what to make of it all. Listening to them is more interesting. They have interesting ways of ministering. For example:

Success that serves the Lord Jesus Christ tells you that success comes from bolding doing what the Lord tells you. Peace was not like I thought. He explained that peace is obtain by surrendering to the Lord.

Reason made sense though. He was always telling me to go reason with the Lord. His message was as Isaiah wrote: Is 1:18 “Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the LORD, “Though your sins are as scarlet, They will be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They will be like wool."

The angels sometimes would give me parables that they picked up from the Lord. They literally would tell me the parable was from the Lord and tell me one - like "There was and ant carrying a heavy load up to a very tall hill, and at the same time there was a little boy looking down at an ant hill. So the little boy just jumped right on top of it. So what's your view point of the Kingdom of God?"

Mat 18:3 Then he said, “I tell you the truth, unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven.

One might say all that, but it is contrary to Holy Scripture, and is offensive to God by ignoring our "Intercessor": the Lord Jesus. NO SCRIPTURE suggests we might talk with God's messengers: Angels. They are God's silent messengers. When one tries to talk with Angels, they obviously do not have the kind of relationship with God as provided.

"They are God's silent messengers - where did you get that thought? If obviously didn't come from reading the Bible:

Gen 16:9 Then the angel of the LORD said to her, “Return to your mistress, and submit yourself to her authority.”

Gen 16:10 Moreover, the angel of the LORD said to her, “I will greatly multiply your descendants so that they will be too many to count.”

Gen 16:11 The angel of the LORD said to her further,
“Behold, you are with child,
And you will bear a son;
And you shall call his name Ishmael,
Because the LORD has given heed to your affliction

Gen 19:15 When morning dawned, the angels urged Lot, saying, “Up, take your wife and your two daughters who are here, or you will be swept away in the punishment of the city.

Jdg 6:12 The angel of the LORD appeared to him and said to him, “The LORD is with you, O valiant warrior.”

Ps 91:11 For He will give His angels charge concerning you,
To guard you in all your ways.

Ps 148:2 Praise Him, all His angels;
Praise Him, all His hosts!

Mat 18:10 “See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that their angels in heaven continually see the face of My Father who is in heaven.

Dan 12:5,6 Then I, Daniel, looked and behold, two others were standing, one on this bank of the river and the other on that bank of the river. And one said to the man dressed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, “How long will it be until the end of these wonders?”

Is 6:3 And one called out to another and said,
“Holy, Holy, Holy, is the LORD of hosts,
The whole earth is full of His glory.”

Is 6:6 Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a burning coal in his hand, which he had taken from the altar with tongs. He touched my mouth with it and said, “Behold, this has touched your lips; and your iniquity is taken away and your sin is forgiven.”

Luke 1:19 The angel answered and said to him, “I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God, and I have been sent to speak to you and to bring you this good news.

Rev 19:10Then I fell at his feet to worship him. But he *said to me, “Do not do that; I am a fellow servant of yours and your brethren who hold the testimony of Jesus; worship God. For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”

Heb 1:13, 14 But to which of the angels has He ever said,“SIT AT MY RIGHT HAND, UNTIL I MAKE YOUR ENEMIES A FOOTSTOOL FOR YOUR FEET”? Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out to render service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation?

Yeah - they are all ministering spirits!! But they are sent out to those who will inherit salvation, but to some it was written:

Mat 13:15 FOR THE HEART OF THIS PEOPLE HAS BECOME DULL,
WITH THEIR EARS THEY SCARCELY HEAR,
AND THEY HAVE CLOSED THEIR EYES,
OTHERWISE THEY WOULD SEE WITH THEIR EYES,
HEAR WITH THEIR EARS,
AND UNDERSTAND WITH THEIR HEART AND RETURN,
AND I WOULD HEAL THEM.'

My friends, in Jesus Christ we have a King and every king has a kingdom!! How do you say that you know the King but not those heavenly host who serve Him and are sent to minister to you?? That makes no sense unless perhaps with your ears you don't hear??
