I had someone tell me that these verses

point to a third temple....
Ephesians 2:22 22And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.

1 Peter 2:5 5you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

I never got the chance to get him to explain further, but I am left with the pondering of "did he mean" our bodies are the third temple? That there will not be a third temple for prophecies to be fulfilled through?

So.. multiple applications??

One of the reasons for beliving in the third temple is the fact that in prophecy Satan.
2 Thessalonians 2:9
9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders,..

John 17:12
While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.

2 Thessalonians 2:3
Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,

I have a question for you, if the son of perdition is an abomination of desolation, where would he stand where he ought not?

Mark 13:14
But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:

Daniel 9:72.
And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; and on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate, even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate.

Amos 9:11 reads: “In that day I will restore David’s fallen shelter–I will repair its broken walls and restore its ruins–and will rebuild it as it used to be.”

Isaiah 2:2-3 “In the last days the mountain of the Lord’s temple will be established as the highest of the mountains; it will be exalted above the hills, and all nations will stream to it. Many peoples will come and say, ‘Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the temple of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths.’ The law will go out from Zion, the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.”

The Apostle Paul mentions it when he declares that the ‘man of lawlessness’ will profane the temple by entering it and declaring himself to be God – 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4.
