I find it abhorrent regardless of which race is on which side of the story. People have lost their minds if they find this in any way appropriate, and it's not going to help anything. In the past there were similar portrayals of this type of behavior being done to blacks, but it was to showcase how terrible they were treated, and it was informative. This is being done in a vindictive, and vengeful kind of way. Simply to show hate. Mind you I wouldn't like it if they were neo-nazis doing it to blacks, or jews either.

All in all I find it to be unhelpful in light of our current situation, and in poor taste since it's being done for any reason other than to showcase what actually happened. This will invoke anger, and not sympathy. Will draw people further apart rather than closer together.
I feel that this whole thing will rub salt in already deep wounds, and could galvanize blacks who are already angry about this to commit more crimes against white people.

Upcoming Show "Crack" Puts Blacks as Slave Owners and Whites as Slaves courtesy of AllHipHop News

Cracka Trailer

The upcoming series "Cracka" is likely to cause a storm of controversy for the premise: "What if the roles were reversed in slavery?

The movie offers a present-day so-called white supremacist who is magically thrust back in time to an alternate past where Africans enslave whites and rule the land known as America.

A synopsis explains, "In a world where white privilege, systematic oppression, and minority protest in order to break the chains of bondage runs regular, white supremacist Michael Stone is doing everything he can to maintain his privilege by exercising every opportunity to ensure the America he knows and loves continues to remain pure and more importantly, remain white!"

The movie is the brainchild of director Dale Resteghini, a white man born in Boston, Massachusetts that made his mark with rap videos. Resteghini worked with a colorful ensemble of artists including Pitbull, Akon, Lil Wayne, Ice Cube, Guns N Roses, Flo Rida, RZA, TYGA, Soulja Boy, Ty Dolla, Nicki Minaj, Diddy. Now, he is taking his talents in a new, controversial manner.

In the trailer of the movie, which is slated for a fall 2020 release, the protagonist - tatted with racist Nazi symbols - begins to harass an African American motorist. It is at that point that the violence starts. After the lead character rains down blows on the motorist, the pseudo-Nazi returns to his home. He then finds himself staring at the barrel of a shotgun and enslaved.

"Cracka" then relives all of the horrors of slavery such as rape, beatings, and even name changes. The series stars a bevy of talents including Lorenzo Antonucci, Hakeen Kae-Kazim, rapper Saigon, Kathryn Kates, and James Darnell.

The cast isn't simply Black people perpetrating the same sick injustices as their counterparts.

"Cracka doesn’t just tackle racism; it confronts it in a way you can’t possibly imagine. This unique series forces us - as a people, society, and overall a collective human unit - to look past color, look past our fears and pain, and see ourselves as people through the much-needed lens of love."

The series does not have a date but is expected to hit in the fall of 2020, just in time for the American presidential election.

Question: Does the show help or hinder race relations? Share your thoughts.

Blacks owning whites isn't anything new. It's happened before. Will they be portraying the blacks who owned other blacks back in American history as well, or will this remain one-sided as usual?

It's not going to help anything. What could this possibly help? This is nothing but instigating and inflammatory.

I think it’s a double-edged sword. On one hand it could make people think and on the other harden the hearts of others. It really depends on the heart of a person. Personally, as a Christian, it doesn’t teach me anything but fire against fire. The Bible talks about that and we are to fight fire with love. We are not to fight like the world, but like Christ did for the world. :yellowheart:

I agree. Jesus said LOVE your enemies and pray for them. I'm getting the sense is blind to the reality (Christians should know better though) that the human race is being played with similar to being puppets. If we could see into the spirit realm I think we would find our whole mindset would need to adjust. Things aren't what men think they are. Scripture pulls back the curtain and let's us have a look.

Put on the full armour of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Ephesians 6:11

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:11 ESV

I don't care if it's black men doing injustice to white men or white men doing the same to black men, or red, or yellow...or whatever. Envision spirits of darkness on the scene, injecting oppressive and destructive thoughts (racism) into the minds of men. If we took scripture seriously we would acknowledge that men aren't FREE but they're being taken advantage of by entities they may not even be willing to admit exists. Doesn't matter if they acknowledge them. They do. When we understand this it takes us a great distance from being in hate towards other humans but makes it more easier to forgive saying, "Father forgive them, for they know not what they do!"

Without question you are right. I think that's what they want. And personally, I'm just about ready to have a cival war and be done with it. I'm sick and tired of the BLM, antifa, Chaz, all the lawlessness that goes unpunished, the lies in the media, the corruption, and hate and violence toward me for nothing i've done. Thugs walking up to 80 year white ladies and knocking them down, hitting them just because they are white. I never owned a slave and nobody in this nation ever was one. They're showing who the REAL haters are.

The first slave OWNER in this country was a black man. Black men captured black men and sold them into slavery. Muslims STILL have slaves in the middle east and Africa. Why does not the media talk about this? Why is the light of truth not shown into that darkness? Because the only thing they want is anarchy. God help us the useful idiots are going to make it happen.

Probably not. The narrative for blacks in America is fixed. But all people of color weren’t treated the same and not everyone was impoverished. There was black wealth even then.

The only question we need to ask is who they’re talking to and what’s the angle. It is an agitator for supremacists and a fearmonger for whites served up before the election.

The idea of black enslavement would seem preposterous not too long ago (it is but they’ll spin it good). But then again, so would nationwide protests and riots that spread globally. We’ve lived through both. The possibility is enough to make people uncomfortable.

Once you recognize the puppet master the rest is easy. But that requires a willingness to accept things are happening on a greater scale (practically and spiritually) than most acknowledge. It requires the person to consider their role and what they’re doing to hold it off.

If we took scripture seriously

That shouldn’t need to be said at this point. The hour is late.

All Christians need to pull back from hating flesh and blood. We need to pray that God's LIFE and LIGHT and GLORY be increased throughout the land in other words praying for revivals.

I wish people would quit bringing up slavery. There were many MANY different types of wars and skirmishes that happened in America List of wars involving the United States - Wikipedia but people only care about the civil war? That makese no sense!

The only way we are EVER going to "move on" is by being kind, courteous, and respectful to each other, not by bringing others down for their skin color or trying to shame them because they happen to be the same skin color as X person in the past who did a certain horrible thing. It's madness!

Hmm.. but how did blacks get horses, good ships to transport whites and guns? :)

They should ride on zebras or giraffes. It would make it more African.

It would make it silly.
