(CLV) Lk 16:29
Yet Abraham is saying to him, `They have Moses and the prophets. Let them hear them!'

(CLV) Lk 16:30
Yet he said, `Not, father Abraham, but if someone should be going to them from the dead, they will be repenting.'

(CLV) Lk 16:31
Yet he said to him, `If Moses and the prophets they are not hearing, neither will they be persuaded if someone should be rising from among the dead.'"

John 5:46-47 For if you believed Moses, you would believe me; for he wrote of me. 47 But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe my words?”

We can't believe the words of Jesus without also believing what Moses wrote.

John 1:14 Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)
14 The Word became a human being and lived with us,
and we saw his Sh’khinah,
the Sh’khinah of the Father’s only Son,
full of grace and truth.

John 12:49 Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)
49 For I have not spoken on my own initiative, but the Father who sent me has given me a command, namely, what to say and how to say it.

Read acts, Paul reasoned with hem from the 'scripture' proving that Jesus was the Messiah.

That was the Old Testament.

So are you asking your minister when he is going to preach on the O T?

Rubbish. How many gentiles knew what Moses wrote? It did not stop them hearing the gospel. I was born again with zero knowledge of what Moses had to say. Lord Jesus was talking to Jews, not gentiles.

Why would I ask that? The preachers at my congregations would regularly preach on the TaNaK.

James' mandate for those new to Torah.

(CLV) Ac 15:20
but to write an epistle to them to be abstaining from ceremonial pollution with idols, and prostitution, and what is strangled, and blood.

(CLV) Ac 15:21
For Moses, from ancient generations, city by city, has those who are heralding him, being read on every sabbath in the synagogues."

You raised the issue as if no church preaches on it, so I try being proactive.

The woman who asked healing for her daughter was not a Jew, nor was the woman at the well.
I don't know how that applies to every other Gentile on the planet to whom the gospel was preached.

"Read in the synagogues" How many Gentiles would you find listening in on that?

Good Day,

Moses was the mediator of the OC it was good... But now Jesus is the best mediator of a much better covenant in the NC.

God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds

Heb 8:5 Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount. But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises. For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.

In Him,

Bill

That is an extremely broad subject; however, we could start here:

(CLV) Ro 2:11
For there is not partiality with God,

Hi BBAS,

Indeed:

Isaiah 51:16
I have put my words in your mouth and covered you with the shadow of my hand, in order to plant the skies [anew], lay the foundations of the earth [anew] and say to Tziyon, ‘You are my people.’”

Moses is a shadow of the reality we find in Yahshua, and that which is to come.

This is the gospel. It's a message of repentance.

It is a message of repentance of sin, and not one that you'll find in the Decalogue; oh, no, no, no, you'll have to go digging deep into YHWH's perfect Torah to find this one.

Moses was transfigured with Elijah. This I think is a clear example of Pentecost. Don't you find this day very interesting. The day Moses recieved the law. The day Christians recieved Holy Spirit. Through The Holy Spirit we establish the law.

I had not looked at it this way before.

Pentecost: spiritual rebirth.
Ephesians 1:
13
In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation;
in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,
14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession,
to the praise of His glory.
The Gathering: our redemption. Complete transfiguration.
1 Corinthians 15:
51
Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed—
52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound,
and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54
So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality,
then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”
