Very thorough. The last part...you will need to be taught how to create?
How does God make something from nothing? OR how does God take existing material and form it into gigantic earths and other planets and stars of such magnitude?

We also know that He is not the only one that can create, because on day 6 He says "Let us" make man in "our" image, after "our" likeness. There are other early Genesis scriptures that use the word "let us". So there is more than one Person or God involved in creation and governing of the earth.

So if there is more than one that can create, then it is either a learned art, or it is a power that is given of God to those that are worthy of the power.

Christians believe that God and Jesus were divine in nature, and they have the power instinctively. I can believe that, but I also believe they can share that power or teach worthy individuals to create and do other things that Gods do.

What do you think is happening when we sit with Jesus in his throne?

I did not say we would need to be taught how to create. I said that if we are worthy of sitting with Jesus in his throne, after X amount of time, he would teach us how to create. After all, we are joint-heirs with Jesus of all that the Father has. One of His great qualities is His creative genius, surely he could teach us and/or give us the power to create as part of our inheritance.

You’re going to have to explain this. We won’t need to be taught, but we will be taught. That’s what I’m taking away from this.

In a kind of crude, mocking, unholy, unrighteous, ungodly way, yes.
It wasn’t meant as mocking. It was just the only analogy I could think of.

I’m sure this has been asked before, but I didn’t want to try to find a thread and bump it.

So, can you become a god? If so, how?
No one but God can be God but at the same time one of His chief purposes for man is to transform us into His own image- 2 Cor 3:18. So from the beginning the Church has taught about theosis or the divinization of man, even if this isn’t always emphasized. In any case God wants far more for us that we can ever imagine.

We were made in His image to begin with, remember, but we've fallen far short of that mark by denying His authority and essentially parting company with Him at the Fall-since which time man knew no God above himself for all practical purposes. Jesus came to find and to reconcile us, because: "Apart from Me you can do nothing." John 15:5

Well we do have one God and one Lord:

(New Testament | 1 Corinthians 8:6)

6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

God the Father is our God and the God of Jesus Christ:

(New Testament | John 20:17)

17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

This is a bit metaphysical but since God is omnipresent, "he" exists in every single atom of the universe. So in essence, we share DNA, electrodes, and atoms, with God. The big difference is our primitive brains cannot use the infinite power that God fills us with by his omnipresence so we can't even sense that perfect creative energy flowing through us let alone use that physical connection with divine energy to create our own individual universe or altered set of physics.chemestry. and biology for this one, or just time travel.

At the moment, that is correct. But give yourself a perfect, immortal, exalted body you get through the resurrection and keep in mind what God has said,
1 Corinthians 2:9 King James Version (KJV)
9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

It will be very interesting to see what God has in mind for those that love him. JS has given us just a small view of that life, but I am sure it falls way short of the real reality. Look forward to an incredible future with God and Jesus.

Alright. I'm not sure what that has do with theosis, etc though. Man's model is God, even though the difference between us is infinite. But man is made with a purpose in mind and with a perfection, at least potentially, proper to his created nature just as all nature possesses. And for man this simply means a very high calling. All a work of God's at the end of the day.

“We are not stoning you for any good work,” they replied, “but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God.”

Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your Law, ‘I have said you are “gods”’? If He called them ‘gods,’ to whom the word of God came—and Scripture cannot be set aside, what about the one whom the Father set apart as his very own and sent into the world? Why then do you accuse me of blasphemy because I said, ‘I am God’s Son’?"

Pantheistic ideas—and most importantly the belief that God is equal to the universe, its physical matter, and the forces that govern it—are found in the ancient books of Hinduism, in the works of many Greek philosophers, and in later works of philosophy and religion over the centuries. Much modern New Age spirituality is pantheistic. But most Christian thinkers reject pantheism because it makes God too impersonal, doesn't allow for any difference between the creation and the creator, and doesn't seem to allow for humans to make meaningful moral choices.

Well, in any case it's pretty hard to compete in the godhood sphere with the creator and first cause of everything-all that we see and know.
