Appearance of 'Aceh Scripture' Application Reported to Criminal Investigation Police

BANDA ACEH - The Government of Aceh reported the existence of the application "The Aceh Bible" which appeared on the Google Play Store to the Criminal Investigation Police to investigate who did it. The existence of the application is considered unsettling to the public and insulting the majority of Aceh's Muslim population.
The report was submitted by the Jakarta Aceh Liaison Agency (BPPA) team to the National Police Headquarters, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (2/6/2020), and was received by AKBP Mukhtar from the Criminal Investigation Police.
Mukhtar then asked the Head of BPPA Inter-Agency Relations, Teuku Syafrizal to make a report once again to the Directorate of Cyber Crime (Dittipidsiber) Criminal Investigation Police.
Teuku Syafrizal welcomed the proposal, and will report immediately to the Government of Aceh. Moreover, he said, the case was included in the Information and Electronic Transactions Law (ITE).
"So that with the report to Dittipidsiber, the police can follow up on the case, to find the culprit," Syafrizal said in his statement on Tuesday (2/6/2020).
The report letter numbered 450/7807, which was signed by the Acting Governor of Aceh, Nova Irwansyah, contained a number of points of objection from the Aceh government regarding the emergence of the 'Aceh Scriptures' application.
"We on behalf of the Aceh government and the people of Aceh express strong objections and protests against the application," Nova said.
The application, said Nova, was unusual in language because the Aceh Scriptures showed that it only belonged to the people of Aceh. Though usually the holy book belongs to religious people without territorial boundaries.
"So as if to describe the majority of the people of Aceh are adherents of the scriptures that are in the application. Though the majority of the people of Aceh's holy book is the Koran," Acting Governor said in the letter.
Then, in the next point it is also considered to be very provocative because all Acehnese speakers in Aceh are Muslim.
"Therefore, the application of Acehnese Scriptures in addition to the Koran on the Google Play Store can be understood as an effort to discredit Aceh, aqidah siltation and the spread of religion other than Islam to the people of Aceh," Nova said.
This is considered to be very contrary to article 28E paragraph (1) and (2) of the 1945 Constitution, Article 45A paragraph (2) of Law number 19 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions, Article 21 of the Aceh Qanun Number 4 2016 concerning the Guidelines for Religious Harmony and the Establishment of Places of Worship and Article 3 and 6 of the Aceh Qanun Number 8 of 2015 concerning the Development and Protection of Aqidah.
Then, in the next point, the application is considered to have caused unrest among the people of Aceh which has an impact on chaos in social life and can lead to horizontal conflict.
"We ask Google to immediately close the application permanently," he hoped.
Previously, social media (social media) was shocked by the emergence of the Aceh Scripture application on the Google Play Store. The existence of the Aceh Holy Bible caused unrest among the wider community in Aceh, which is predominantly Muslim.
It is known, a controversial application called the Aceh Bible was released by Faith Comes By Hearing on Google Playstore since 7 August 2019 with the last update on 18 September 2019.
