Do you enjoy hiking?
I’m just starting to get in to it. I’m a newbie, just short hikes in nearby parks. We might go for a trip to Big Cedar Lodge sometime this fall and they have some neat trails nearby.Do you enjoy hiking?

What do you use to hold your stuff (phone, water bottle etc.) on short hikes? Backpack? Fannypack? What?YES. Absolutely adore hiking and being out in nature and away from civilization as much as possible. I do most of my hiking in spring and fall. Summers are too hot and buggy.

I have a bag (purse? Messenger bag?) that I thought would work but I think the bouncing would be annoying.I'm still struggling to find something that's comfortable and easy to use for this. I tried a messenger-type bag (that goes cross-wise across your body and hangs at the hip) but it bounces around a lot. I need to find a good, small backpack, I guess. I also take a camera with me, but I just carry it in my hand most of the time. I put my phone in my pocket.

It’s not what I have but I like it.You could give it a try and see! I'm a curvy lass, so my hip just bounced that bag all over the place, lol. It might not be an issue for someone with a different build

That’s much like what I ended up buying. I bought an Osprey sling. It’s a crossbody and the bag lies against my back. Roomy and comfortable. You could give it a try and see! I agree, with one exception. We have new paved trails at a nearby park that meanders through wooded areas and alongside the Mississippi River. I consider that hiking, too.I look at hiking as being done in the wilderness. Not like walking down a sidewalk or through a park. Feet on dirt
Love hiking, walking, watching wild-life. Is great getting outdoors getting exercise.Do you enjoy hiking?
