Are we playing rope-a-dope with the protestors?

Are we allowing the protestors to "punch themselves out" in their effort to win this fight? Are the rest of us going to come off the ropes and KO the protestors at the ballot box?

So your position is apparently anti-protest. This is America, it’s sort of important here.
Peaceful protest is American. Not what BLM is doing. Killing, looting, and chanting, " pigs in a blanket fry them like bacon" isn't convincing many voters to support their cause.

Source of BLM doing any of those things, especially killing someone?

Why do you see the protests as partisan? Does your form of Christianity support racism?

Or if you are really speaking of the rioters what makes you think they vote anyways?

I'll pay $10 for any protestor who votes for Trump.

Just the protestors, who have gone completely off the rails, imo.

Protests are too one-sided. They are counterproductive if they anger the other side.

So. A few years ago most of us would not have tolerated being told that we can or can not go to church, funerals, barn dances and etc. Today we accept is as a matter of fact (ahem, for our own good). Yet, if we want to bow the knee, and join the ranks of the anarchists, we are free to act any way we choose with the full blessing of our rulers.

Certainly white supremacists trying to make a race war out of this would like to think so, but it seems for the most part the American public is not buying what they are selling.

Support in the U.S. for the Black Lives Matter movement has more than doubled since 2016, according to a poll released Thursday.

Fifty-seven percent of American adults said they have a favorable opinion of Black Lives Matter, according to the Yahoo News-YouGov survey, compared to 27 percent who said the same in a similar poll four years ago.

Just 27 percent of Republican respondents said they have a favorable opinion of Black Lives Matter in the recent poll, but that is more than six times the 4 percent who said the same in 2016.

If Trump wants to brand himself as the anti-BLM candidate, and these numbers don't change, he would be shooting himself in the bonespurs.

Doesn't matter. The same problems will remain regardless of who is elected, as the problems are intractable.

I'll send you the bill in November. I know of two right now - my wife and son who both attended the local protest against racism last weekend lead by a group of local evangelical pastors. I'm sure the tally will be more. Some issues transcend partisan politics. Certainly politics will come into play when deciding how to address the problem, but the root issue is not.

I've seen enough of your posts over the years to conclude that you see the world first through a partisan lens and then wrap your theology around it.

Conservative lens, just to be 'clear'. ;)

I've read the Biden has been doing better in the polls ever since this George Floyd incident.
