You are either blind or dreaming.

Or not listening to Fox...

Exactly why would they have been executed? To make people more supported of the war? To further the agenda of Rumsfeld and Cheney or for the amusment of devout religious people?

You're not listening - or reading - or paying attention. These people ENJOY torture. It's a documented fact. They don't NEED a reason to torture or execute. They don't CARE what the world or the media or you or I think. And the small chance that a POW might spill his guts before he dies is only gravy. Wake up. M

They're not human. It's a documented fact. Iraqi's aren't human. Especially Saddam Hussein. They're not even animals.

They're pure evil who are too stupid to do anything for reasons other than evil.

Your mistake, Taffsada, is assuming Saddam Hussien is a rational human being, that any Iraqi is something other than an evil subhuman.

Expecting them to do things for political reasons, or because it gains them advantages off and on the battlefield! What insanity. What foolish naivate!

You heard Michael. They enjoy torture. They're subhumans. They should be obliterated. They don't care about anything but being evil. Not surivival, not international politics, nothing. It's sheer coincidence that, in the midst of all their evil, they've been remarkably canny in preventing the US from gaining the moral high ground. Utterly random chance that everything they do seems to be geared towards making this war as long and political painful on Bush and Blair as possible.

Taffsadar, it's really foolish of you to think that the Subhuman Iraqi's wouldn't execute POW's just because it would score them points politically. They're subhuman and evil. Of course they'll execute any POWs, on sight. Obviously the fact that the bounty is double on live soldiers is part of their evil....

I believe cenimo already answered that question, in Post #17:
There have been several reports of them coming out and saying they will use the Islamic Rules regarding handloing of prisoners- i.e., non-Muslims are interrogated and then executed... before they use the Geneva Convention.
They don't play by the same rules we do.

If you are thinking in political terms than it’s of course a statement that they are not afraid of any backlash due to their actions and in hopes of rallying fellow Muslim combatants.

If you think of it in religious terms than they have a mandate from their God and profit to do such things as this. It’s a way to acquire eternal security with their God.

What's the problem with all of you?

Of course all US and British POW's will be executed.

This was known going in.

Saddam has not butchered 1,000's of his people . You are totally wrong. The number is hundreds of thousand's.

He watches tortures to the death and watches rapes for entertainment - like we watch I Love Lucy or Andy Griffin.

We are in Iraq for a reason and its not oil. You can buy alot of oil for 75 billion dollars!!!

While I agree with you that any government that condones torture or allows POWs to be killed while in thier custody is evil, I don't think it's apropraite to dehumanize a people because they share differant values than you do.  We should go after the Iraqies responsible and hold them responsible with the crimes they have commited.  With luck they will be locked up right next to those responsible for the deaths of those two Afgani prisoners of war.

Edited to add quote tag to bigining of Morats message, thanks for pointing out L33tace.

Someone seems not to have done his research.

Hmm? and who may that be?

Saddam's Iraq is a secular regime. The Baath Socialist Party only feigns religiosity when it would help to do so.

model of Saddam's grand mosque

Heh, you know, I even heard a radio caller last week claim that Saddam was a Christian. hmmm... oh well maybe he builds mosques for his bingo buddys *shrugs*

*l33t looks up* hey didn't I see that post on another thread, ACougar? nm *rubs eyes* you missed a quote tag...

Peace

Let me point out how sad it is that, in a deliberate attempt to be as over the top and sarcastic as possible, even after referencing A Modest Proposal, my words were still taken seriously.

That says a lot about what many people apparantly believe.

l33tace: Saddam rules an Islamic nation. His Ba'ath party is secular. However, after the end of the cold war, he spent more time trying to tie himself to the Islamic roots of the people he rules. Much like, say, a politician might become far more vocally religious when running for office.
