Please hit the “ click to expand” button above

You are basically just hitting the disagree button with no real thought here. I have tied the word “repentance” in with the word “salvation” in 2 Corinthians 7:10. You simply don't like the answer because it does not align with your beliefs. Anyone can read this verse and believe it plainly will conclude the same thing (if they are not being influenced by a particular belief).

Please give me a detailed word for word commentary on 2 Corinthians 7:10 from your perspective using the context of the chapter. My guess. You will not be able to do that. Why? Because the words simply do not support your belief here. So you can keep hitting the disagree button until it is broke, but until you address each of those words in that verse in what they plainly say, you got nothing that supports your wrong belief here on repentance.

THAT would not be a loophole. THAT would be a “ result” of the Loophole that I brought up. Nice try, though.
You missed it.
Crucify the flesh, and there will be no more "flesh" to interfere with fellowship with God.
It IS possible to love God above all else and our neighbor as ourselves.

Get the Holy Spirit in you......let Him hang around long enough, and He will take care of all of that—— YOU ain’t gonna accomplish that! it’s a Work Of The Holy Spirit ...the Important thing is to get that Spirit....Hear the Gospel and if God has blessed you with “ ears to hear” , you will Believe that Gospel ....REST In That Gospel .....and then get busy building Heavenly Rewards.... do good works and “ bear each other’s burdens” —- That is why we were created......

Given to him because he had an issue with pride.
What are you referring to?

1And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. 2I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. 3For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men? 4For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?
And what did Paul say to do with the "carnal"?
"To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus." (1 Cor 5:5)

Positionally or spiritually speaking. The soul - mind, emotion, will - still needs a lot of work, of transformation. Rom.12:1-2.
Not if it was "transformed" at its resurrection with Christ after it was killed with Christ.
We are "raised with Christ to walk in newness of life", instantly. (Rom 6:6)

The Lord is with your spirit (1 Cor.6:7) which is the born again part of you (Jn.3:6). Much of the rest of you still needs changing. Evil thoughts, ungodly emotions, etc.
Gal.4:19 My dear children, for whom I am again in the pains of childbirth until Christ is formed in you,
If there were no more flesh, then confession of sin would not be a possibility.
If there IS flesh, the sinner was never crucified with Christ.

Let's see how you hold up now under tortures. Denial of the Lord?
Is that your hope, or your fear for me?

Peter also who was caugt in hypocrisy by Paul.
Had Peter "respected" the Gentiles, the visiting Jews would be making the same argument you are now.

It's possible to grieve the Holy Spirit within you. Does that sound like you're doing what's pleasing to Him.
Of course it is possible...to lose my faith and manifest the flesh was never killed.

He says he is, not was, a sinner. Even the worst. Considering his entire history, including being a serial killer of Christians.
The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost. But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life. (1 Timothy 1:15–16)
He said he was the worst of the saved.
The saved don't continue persecuting Christians...or anyone else.
It is only because you view the faithful as sinners that you have come to this conclusion.
Jesus conquered sin, and as we are now "in" Him, we partake in that victory.

Thank God for the gift of repentance from sin, and the gift of baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of past sins.
And for the gift of the Holy Ghost, who will not reside in a polluted temple.

Interesting......not ONE WORD about Grace. That thing that saves everyone that was ever saved....
The Holy Spirit will not Indwell Anybody that does not have a “ Contrite Heart”.......Those with Contrite Hearts got that way because the Holy Spirit revealed the extent of their sinful condition.....they know they are “ Polluted”. This heart- wrenching, life- changing realization is the Starting Point Of Christianity....
“ God have Mercy on me , a sinner”—- we KNOW that saved a “ Sin -Polluted” Tax Collector......Why would Anybody be different from THAT example?

I could have thanked God, in the name of Jesus Christ, for His grace, and a dozen or more things.
But I was focusing on the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Matthew started following Jesus before Jesus was crucified for his sins.
We have in hind-sight what Matthew found out in person.
Nothing happens without the grace of God.
But then again, nothing happens without the love of God or the mercy of God either.

BTW, Where did Matthew say those words you have quoted?

I could do it ....maybe.... if there was two feet of snow on the ground and there was nothing else to do....if you think I am going to do a “ detailed word-by-Word study” just to make you happy— you got the wrong guy.I am much too lazy...retirement ruined me....lol.....I will not devote that much time and energy in what would ultimately be a waste of time....I am not going to change your mind , and you ain’t gonna change mind.....Computer ink is much to valuable to waste....
Where is this “ disagree button” you refer to.....If I am using it—- I ain’t aware of it....

Try digging a hole in water... comes to mind.

I have been in plenty of forums. Some people go to forums to test their ability to dominate and win at all cost. There is no edification to be found that way.

Yes .....I have been in these things for years.....many different ones.....I know it is a miracle to change the mind of a Tare or a Legalist......
All I try to do is use these types as “ Springboards” to get The Truth Of The Gospel Of Grace out there for all of the Lurkers and Newbies to be exposed to before they get ruined by those promoting their Accursed, False Gospels That go beyond what the Song says, “ NOTHING BUT THE BLOOD”.The Song tells the Truth.Millions sing it mindlessly every week at their churches and don’t Believe it at all...They should rip the song out of their hymnals......God does not look kindly upon hypocrites......

The life of Jesus was the Word. He thought and applied Scripture all the time. It was his lifeblood as a man. He pioneerd our faith before he went to the Cross. In other words, every thought we will ever need to overcome evil in this world He became the role model and prototype His thinking (we have been given the mind/thinking of Christ) is to be transferred to us by means of having a rich knowledge of the Word and the filling of the Spirit to make the letter to become alive in us.

For if the blood of goats and bulls, with the sprinkling of the ashes of a heifer,
sanctifies those who have been defiled so that their flesh is purified, how much
more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works to worship the living God!
Heb 9:13-14

When His thinking (the mind of Christ) becomes our thinking? We become dead to dead works!
Anyone who believes we can lose our salvation is dead to the mind of Christ.

grace and peace...

First, a commentary on a verse does not have to be a book length commentary like traditional Bible commentaries. I was suggesting a simple explanation in a few words on what that each word of that verse says and using the context (the surrounding verses and chapters) to back it up your reasoning.

Second, the fact that you are rejoicing in laziness on not explaining Scripture does not bode well for your position or belief. 2 Timothy 2:15 says, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God.” 2 Timothy 4:2 says, “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.” Taking no effort to explain 2 Corinthians 7:10 in light of your belief and yet you are claiming to be correct is just plain silly. It's basically saying “I am right and I don't have to prove or explain anything.” But do not do explain the verse for me, but do it to help another person who just happens to browse this site and wants to know the truth.

Side Note:

As for my phrase: “hitting the disagree button”: It is metaphor or a figure of speech. Picture a game show where somebody hits the button to give an answer and yet they do not have one. In other words, I am saying you are basically disagreeing without any real meat or weight to demolishing my points with Scriptures. You are just disagreeing and not wanting to hear what anyone says with the Bible on this matter. Your other posts confirm this truth. You said in another post that you are simply going to ignore my post. While I am not against ignoring other people's posts myself, I only do so if after I heard their points and I discussed them (with God's Word), and if they failed to repeatedly heed my sound advice with Scripture.

To paraphrase Mark Twain.... “ The reports of my laziness have been greatly exaggerated”..... lol....
I am not lazy.....just bored ....I have been going back and forth with Legalists for so long now , mostly at another site, it’s hard to get enthused with another round of wasted computer ink...
If you will check my record, you will see how one of my biggest concerns is that many times my responses are so long, I am afraid they will be ignored—- I know that personally, I often ignore long- winded posts.
Anyway, no disrespect intended, I am not here to be at your beck and call..... I only post with Newbies in mind, trying to catch them before they get ruined by Legalists and try to get them to understand The True Gospel Of Grace and instill in their minds that the Song they sing really is true, it really “ IS” NOTHING But The Blood for Salvation......all else is Icing On The Cake....
If by answering one of your many inquiries I can see that it will potentially benefit a Newbie in some way, I am likely to respond— beyond that, experience at these Forums has convinced me that NOBODY ever changes their mind about their long-held views and Computer ink is too valuable to waste in trying.....God Bless...

You have actually made my job easier to help those who are truly seeking the truth in what God's Word says by your not defending your views. So thank you.

Side Note:

As for your statement about being bored (i.e. Which before was a reference to laziness):

Personally, I have never felt bored or lazy in preaching the truth of God's Word on the topic of salvation. For me: The Word of God is alive and I am so thankful to the Lord for His mercy and good ways.

..." having a form of godliness but denying its power.
Have nothing to do with such people."
2 Tim 3:5

...."Warn a divisive person once, and then warn them a second time.
After that, have nothing to do with them." Ttus 3:10

God's not worried about you harming those who are truly His own. For He tells us to avoid the divisive ones. God is not concerned. So why should we who are walking in the Spirit and truth be?

Being forewarned and obeying God's command is not being lazy. Its simply being obedient.

Do you not know that Lord means Master?

To claim that Christ is your Master, you must actually be His servant: this is not rocket science, folks...

The Lord Himself asks this very question, to you:

"And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?" --Luke 6:46

So instead of maintaining a pretense, why not just submit to Him, as your Lord, to obey Him, in all that He said?

While I would agree that we must strive to obey as much as we can I would point out that we will all still fail at perfect obedience.
