You either believe the Bible or you don't. I have shown you what the Bible says:

(Old Testament | Genesis 3:22)

22 ¶ And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

(New Testament | Philippians 2:5 - 6)

5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

(New Testament | 2 Peter 1:4 - 5)

4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;

(New Testament | John 10:34 - 35)

34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;

(New Testament | Romans 8:16 - 19)

16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

(New Testament | Ephesians 1:4)

4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

And there are more, but i feel that these scriptures fall on dead ears.

Adam became like one of the angels in knowledge alone.

2 Peter 1 Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)
1 Greetings from Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ.

To all of you who share in the same valuable faith that we have. This faith was given to us because our God and Savior Jesus Christ always does what is good and right.

2 Grace and peace be given to you more and more, because now you know God and Jesus our Lord.

God Has Given Us Everything We Need
3 Jesus has the power of God. And his power has given us everything we need to live a life devoted to God. We have these things because we know him. Jesus chose us by his glory and goodness, 4 through which he also gave us the very great and rich gifts that he promised us. With these gifts you can share in being like God. And so you will escape the ruin that comes to people in the world because of the evil things they want.

5 Because you have these blessings, do all you can to add to your life these things: to your faith add goodness; to your goodness add knowledge; 6 to your knowledge add self-control; to your self-control add patience; to your patience add devotion to God; 7 to your devotion add kindness toward your brothers and sisters in Christ, and to this kindness add love. 8 If all these things are in you and growing, you will never fail to be useful to God. You will produce the kind of fruit that should come from your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 But those who don’t grow in these blessings are blind. They cannot see clearly what they have. They have forgotten that they were cleansed from their past sins.

10 My brothers and sisters, God called you and chose you to be his. Do your best to live in a way that shows you really are God’s called and chosen people. If you do all this, you will never fall. 11 And you will be given a very great welcome into the kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, a kingdom that never ends.

12 You already know these things. You are very strong in the truth you have. But I am always going to help you remember them. 13 While I am still living here on earth, I think it is right for me to remind you of them. 14 I know that I must soon leave this body. Our Lord Jesus Christ has shown me that. 15 I will try my best to make sure you remember these things even after I am gone.

We Saw Christ’s Glory
16 We told you about the power of our Lord Jesus Christ. We told you about his coming. The things we told you were not just clever stories that people invented. No, we saw the greatness of Jesus with our own eyes. 17 Jesus heard the voice of the great and glorious God. That was when he received honor and glory from God the Father. The voice said, “This is my Son, the one I love. I am very pleased with him.” 18 And we heard that voice. It came from heaven while we were with Jesus on the holy mountain.

19 This makes us more sure about what the prophets said. And it is good for you to follow closely what they said, which is like a light shining in a dark place. You have that light until the day begins and the morning star brings new light to your minds. 20 Most important of all, you must understand this: No prophecy in the Scriptures comes from the prophet’s own understanding. 21 No prophecy ever came from what some person wanted to say. But people were led by the Holy Spirit and spoke words from God.

We become like Jesus by maturing in virtues.

Ephesians 1 Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)
1 Greetings from Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus. I am an apostle because that is what God wanted.

To God’s holy people living in Ephesus,[a] believers who belong to Christ Jesus.

2 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Spiritual Blessings in Christ
3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. In Christ, God has given us every spiritual blessing in heaven. 4 In Christ, he chose us before the world was made. He chose us in love to be his holy people—people who could stand before him without any fault. 5 And before the world was made, God decided to make us his own children through Jesus Christ. This was what God wanted, and it pleased him to do it. 6 And this brings praise to God because of his wonderful grace. God gave that grace to us freely. He gave us that grace in Christ, the one he loves.

7 In Christ we are made free by his blood sacrifice. We have forgiveness of sins because of God’s rich grace. 8 God gave us that grace fully and freely. With full wisdom and understanding 9 he let us know his secret plan. This was what God wanted, and he planned to do it through Christ. 10 God’s goal was to finish his plan when the right time came. He planned that all things in heaven and on earth be joined together with Christ as the head.

11 In Christ we were chosen to be God’s people. God had already planned for us to be his people, because that is what he wanted. And he is the one who makes everything agree with what he decides and wants. 12 We Jews were the first to hope in Christ. And we were chosen so that we would bring praise to God in all his glory. 13 It is the same with you. You heard the true message, the Good News about the way God saves you. When you heard that Good News, you believed in Christ. And in Christ, God put his special mark on you by giving you the Holy Spirit that he promised. 14 The Spirit is the first payment that guarantees we will get all that God has for us. Then we will enjoy complete freedom as people who belong to him. The goal for all of us is the praise of God in all his glory.

Paul’s Prayer
15-16 That is why I always remember you in my prayers and thank God for you. I have done this ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all of God’s people. 17 I always pray to the great and glorious Father, the God of our Lord Jesus Christ. I pray that he will give you the Spirit, who will let you know truths about God and help you understand them, so that you will know him better.

18 I pray that God will open your minds to see his truth. Then you will know the hope that he has chosen us to have. You will know that the blessings God has promised his holy people are rich and glorious. 19 And you will know that God’s power is very great for us who believe. It is the same as the mighty power 20 he used to raise Christ from death and put him at his right side in the heavenly places. 21 He put Christ over all rulers, authorities, powers, and kings. He gave him authority over everything that has power in this world or in the next world. 22 God put everything under Christ’s power and made him head over everything for the church. 23 The church is Christ’s body. It is filled with him. He makes everything complete in every way.

other texts that comes to mind are:

Romans 6:23
When people sin, they earn what sin pays—death. But God gives his people a free gift—eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:2
That is because in Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit that brings life made you free. It made you free from the law that brings sin and death.

Romans 8:38-39
Yes, I am sure that nothing can separate us from God’s love—not death, life, angels, or ruling spirits. I am sure that nothing now, nothing in the future, no powers, nothing above us or nothing below us—nothing in the whole created world—will ever be able to separate us from the love God has shown us in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 9:1
[ God and the Jewish People ] I am in Christ and I am telling you the truth. I am not lying. And my conscience, ruled by the Holy Spirit, agrees that what I say now is true.

Romans 12:5
In the same way, we are many people, but in Christ we are all one body. We are the parts of that body, and each part belongs to all the others.

Romans 16:1
[ Paul Has Some Final Things to Say ] I want you to know that you can trust our sister in Christ, Phoebe. She is a special servant of the church in Cenchrea.

1 Corinthians 1:18
[ God’s Power and Wisdom in Christ Jesus ] The teaching about the cross seems foolish to those who are lost. But to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

1 Corinthians 3:1
[ Teachers Are Only God’s Servants ] Brothers and sisters, when I was there, I could not talk to you the way I talk to people who are led by the Spirit. I had to talk to you like ordinary people of the world. You were like babies in Christ.

1 Corinthians 4:15
You may have ten thousand teachers in Christ, but you don’t have many fathers. Through the Good News I became your father in Christ Jesus.

1 Corinthians 8:12
When you sin against your brothers and sisters in Christ in this way and you hurt them by causing them to do things they feel are wrong, you are also sinning against Christ.

1 Corinthians 15:19
If our hope in Christ is only for this life here on earth, then people should feel more sorry for us than for anyone else.

1 Corinthians 15:22
I mean that in Adam all of us die. And in the same way, in Christ all of us will be made alive again.

2 Corinthians 1:20
The yes to all of God’s promises is in Christ. And that is why we say “Amen” through Christ to the glory of God.

2 Corinthians 1:21
And God is the one who makes you and us strong in Christ. God is also the one who chose us for his work.

2 Corinthians 5:17
When anyone is in Christ, it is a whole new world. The old things are gone; suddenly, everything is new!

2 Corinthians 5:19
I mean that God was in Christ, making peace between the world and himself. In Christ, God did not hold people guilty for their sins. And he gave us this message of peace to tell people.

2 Corinthians 5:21
Christ had no sin, but God made him become sin so that in Christ we could be right with God.

2 Corinthians 12:19
Do you think that we have been defending ourselves to you all this time? No, we say these things in Christ and before God. You are our dear friends, and everything we do is to make you stronger.

Galatians 2:4
We needed to talk about these problems, because some who pretended to be our brothers had come into our group secretly. They came in like spies to find out about the freedom we have in Christ Jesus. They wanted to make us slaves,

Galatians 2:16
But we know that no one is made right with God by following the law. It is trusting in Jesus Christ that makes a person right with God. So we have put our faith in Christ Jesus, because we wanted to be made right with God. And we are right with him because we trusted in Christ—not because we followed the law. I can say this because no one can be made right with God by following the law.

Galatians 3:3
You began your life in Christ with the Spirit. Now do you try to complete it by your own power? That is foolish.

Galatians 3:26-27
You were all baptized into Christ, and so you were all clothed with Christ. This shows that you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus.

Galatians 3:28
Now, in Christ, it doesn’t matter if you are a Jew or a Greek, a slave or free, male or female. You are all the same in Christ Jesus.

You said: "You have no hope either way for salvation----whether a Mormon endures or not"

I am not interested in your personal judgments. Every person on the earth and everyone who has ever lived has the hope of salvation unless they have broken the unforgivable law.

unforgivable law?

It is not personal judgement but reality you have to face--not me.

You are all over the place in trying to defend this hope to be able to endure

Since we are saved by hope and we are not saved until we endure to the end it stands to reason that we MUST have hope to endure all things, otherwise there is NO salvation. ----HITW

Say what?
We are not saved until we endure to end and yet we have to have hope for that? But then you admit we must endure [not hope to endure] before we can find salvation
Your reasoning came up with this?

Did Stephan the first Martyr just have mere human hope to endure OR did he allow them to take him outside to stone him? He even prayed for those who murdered him while they were stoning him.

Unlike you false prophet who went to his death shooting his smuggled-in pistol at those who were after him and committed suicide by jumping out the window. He was a coward at the end. But hey, he wrote your Articles of Faith or at least that is what your Church claims.

Jesus Christ and God the Father are one in glory and perfection as per Jesus Christ. We can be joint - heirs with Christ.
Frist off---- Christ and God the Father are simply One. How can the son have that same perfection as His Father if He is not God Who was manifested in the flesh?

1 Timothy 3:16
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, Justified in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Preached among the Gentiles, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory.

You do not have that figured out there is no hope for being a joint-heir with Him as you have not the True Christ.

unforgivable law?
(New Testament | Matthew 12:32)

32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

So if someone broke into your home and grabbed your wife would you just stand there and do nothing? Did Stephen have someone to protect? The two incidents were very different, but you refuse to see that. Joseph Smith was no coward, he stood up to people who were evil.

(New Testament | Romans 8:24 - 25)

24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

We have been down this road before.

JS, even if he was supposedly protecting his friends ---he protected them from what, with a pistol handed to him by one of these friends?

Do you think the crowd only had shells enough to use on JS and Hyrum? If these mythical men were upstairs in this jail for him to protect---do you not think they would also be kiiled in the time they came down the stairs? They were after JS, no one else.

And evil--did you not comprehend that this is the evil that we are fighting is really against? I hardly applaud the men in the crowd that day but to claim they were evil is a stretch, considering JS's orders were to destroy a printing press putting out free speech. All basic indisputable facts put out by your Church.

This is the true evil

Ephesians 6:12
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

And my wife and protecting her---your situation is so vague that there is no way I could answer that But I would try to diffuse the situation and I have, with
God--- diffused a couple of situations.

God is really in control ----not man and the sooner you learn to trust Him the better.

As to the verses Romans 8:24-25
Good verses but again nothing about hope to be able to endure.

JS, even if he was supposedly protecting his friends ---he protected them from what, with a pistol handed to him by one of these friends?

And you are still misrepresenting the facts. If Joseph Smith had not jumped out of the window the rest of those in the room would have likely been killed also. You have in your mind several things that are wrong, the first being that the spirit told you that only Joseph and Hyrum were in the room. How do you explain that John Taylor was wounded and almost killed?

Do you think the crowd only had shells enough to use on JS and Hyrum? If these mythical men were upstairs in this jail for him to protect---do you not think they would also be kiiled (sic) in the time they came down the stairs? They were after JS, no one else.

John Taylor, and Willard Richards are NOT mythical men. No one is disputing their presence in the jail except you. It is well known that they were there and would likely have been killed had not someone shouted the Mormons are coming.

Of course you would support murders rather than destruction of a printing press that was being used to spew out lies and turning people against members of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints and inciting murderous mob behavior.

I do trust God, are you claiming to be His prophet?

(New Testament | Romans 8:24 - 25)

24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

Wow you just cannot keep control of your imaginations, can you?

This debate with you has definitely run it's course and is just more foolishness. In fact this verse comes to mind

2 Timothy 2:23
But avoid foolish and ignorant disputes, knowing that they generate strife.

Foolish ---- because I can no longer tolerate your foolishness
ignorant ---- because you want to speak for me and imagine what I must believe

You think I am now claiming to be a prophet, because I read the words of the Bible, instead of assuming what they say--still laughing from that one

So you are back in my penalty box with the IGNORE option.

It is not a penalty to be ignored by you because you have no way of supporting your unfounded beliefs about Joseph Smith.

It is really not my penalty that you should worry about.

The true penalty, as it were----- is going to happen when you die in 10, 20 years or whenever.

That is when reality sets in and foolish fantasies come to an end.
Find the True Christ before it is too late, my friend.

I know the true Jesus Christ of the Bible who's God is the Father and is one with the Father in glory and perfection. The Father is greater than Him. He is our Brother and those who LOVE Him keep His commandments. Those who do not keep the commandments do not know God. Life eternal is to know God the Father and Jesus Christ Who He sent. I learned all of this from the Bible.

You are so predictable and what I see I will use what I see for future refence with other Mormons.

Whenever you are confronted with a real problem--- you break out in part of your testimony as if it will protect you from losing your faith [in your Church and false prophets]. In which you only hope to be able to endure through. The "I knows" are a definite part of that.

Thank you for the enlightenment.

I learned what I know about Jesus Christ from the Bible. What I learned is clearly taught by Him. So why should I believe otherwise?

You seem to treat Truth as a very casual thing and cannot comprehend why A Christian's truth would differ.

So why does anyone believe that the truth about Jesus Christ would differ from His truths stated in the Bible?
