Mark 3:20-35
Luke 11:14-26
Matthew 12:22-50

Jesus describes two kingdoms at work, and at war as we see in the Bible, but both have something in common. Both kingdoms are whole and not divided against itself to wage war or make peace. This parable should not be mistaken for Jesus defending Satan, on the contrary, He is schooling the “learned” on how these kingdoms work. This is most certainly not the case in the world where every country or kingdom is divided against itself in some way. More specifically and more importantly, Jesus Christ is showing the Pharisees, with logic, how God’s Kingdom works - and how they ought to know that being scholars.

In the world there is an unseen war going on between these two kingdoms; One of Light and Good and the other of darkness and evil: Ephesians 6:12. The first war is the oldest where God defends His name against Satan and is still ongoing today. The second war is almost as old as the first where God made a plan from the beginning to redeem His people and call the world back to Himself. We can Biblically see this war through people of the Bible: Matthew 16:22-23, Luke 22:1-6, John 13:26-30. (To cite a few)
We may not like to admit it, but we are very influential beings and sometimes aren’t aware of it as described in the above passages. Of course, this was before the Holy Spirit was gifted to those who believe in Jesus Christ and follow after Him. Now that His disciples/followers have the Strongest Man: Luke 11:21-23 in the temple/house: 1 Corinthians 3:16, absolutely none of His children/saints are able to become possessed or entered into by an evil spirit. Christ is Victorious and through Him, so are His believers!
Throughout the Bible we also see a great difference between God and Satan (John 10:10) - even in name: God/YHWH means Salvation, Life Giver and Living Water: John 7:37-39 (among other names), and Satan means destroyer, murderer and thief; also known as the Red Dragon.

There are only two kingdoms to choose from, even idly a choice is made. The better choice is a conscious one and hopefully the One that matters is chosen, and is already Victorious as prophesied in Revelation. How to enter into God’s Kingdom is to accept and believe in the free gift given to the world - Jesus Christ. The cost is to be considered also: Luke 14:25-33. This means that God needs to be at the forefront of one’s mind at all times and needs to renew one’s mind through His Word. He is a worthy King in His Kingdom and so His followers need to obey His command: John 15:1-17.

Jesus Christ is a Perfect Teacher, Leader and King. The Kingdom of God is Riotousness and Love; that is how we should treat one another in His Kingdom. If there is dissension from some then they are not of the Body of Christ and follow after a counterfeit king: Matthew 7:15-27, John 8:39-47.

*** Please read the two characteristics of the same person: Abram and Abraham to fully understand what Jesus is talking about in John 8:39-47: Genesis 12 - Genesis 18.

This devotion was in the email this morning and seems to relate to this thread ..
Become as Little Children!
Jesus clearly states, “Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 18:3). The word converted used in this verse is strepho, which means "to turn oneself; in a moral sense to change, alter, to adopt another course [of thinking and behavior]." What is the nature of children that we are to develop?

  • Humility: “Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 18:4). A little child recognizes that he is totally dependent upon those caring for him and, therefore, looks outside himself for daily provisions.
  • Healthy Appetite: “As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby” (I Peter 2:2). A child will develop an appetite for the type of food that is provided. We must make sure that we take in spiritual food that is unadulterated by the world's philosophies.
  • Teachability: “Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD” (Psalm 34:11). Children tend to be curious and ask many questions. We can deepen our understanding of Scripture by asking the Lord precise questions as we are studying His Word.
  • Dependency: “… Little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming” (I John 2:28). A child in need will cling to his parent. As we daily recognize our needs, we should be motivated to abide in Christ for the fulfillment of them.
  • Fellowship With Their Father: “… I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father” (I John 2:13). Little children enjoy the attention of their parents, and they know what pleases and displeases them. To enjoy fellowship with our heavenly Father, we must not allow it to be broken by unconfessed sins.
The more we become like little children, the greater we will be in God's kingdom.

We all want to be great, but our definition of greatness is often different than God's. Which of the qualities that God considers great do you need to develop? Let's ask God for the wisdom and grace that we need to become as little children and gain the help of our families by asking them to rate our progress!

“Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 18:10).

Hebrew is such an eye opener! I’ve been learning about that as well.
Did you know that Isaiah prophesied the virgin Mary and her miraculous pregnancy of the Messiah? The Hebrew letter he used was Mem Sofit (a roundish shape of a square. This letter means water and mother. I’ll have to find my notes on that and give them to you. :yellowheart:

I like the pictographs of the letters and the basic meanings. They have such simplistic teachings. So far I haven’t studied much more than that. Mem iirc has to do sanctification altho it can mean chaos. It’s still in external circumstances that began at chet, the fence but toward the end of overcoming in wisdom with just complete obedience of noon, the activity of life before going into the sanctuary view, where wickedness is trodden down and removed like dross, samech to tav. But because it’s read right to left it depends the formation of the letters.
Ya that would be great, send messenger perhaps ...
