If through a rock in the hat you get to the original, then I take a rock in the hat.

They could guess, I suppose. But that’s not what they do.Without the originals, your doctors and scholars can guess all they want and may never come to the truth. They may come close, is that good enough?
There’s no difference. One word can change the entire meaning of a doctrine.
For instance, the KJV says that God is a spirit. The NASB says that God is spirit.
Tell me what the difference is in these 2 scriptures both of which are John 4:24? Then tell me how a take-away changes the doctrine?
That is correct. I have come to know that through a rock in a hat, JS got to the original. Not through a college of scholars and doctors, but through a humble man that was given a rock that God used to reveal the original to JS. I take that many times before I rely on supposedly educated men.If through a rock in the hat you get to the original, then I take a rock in the hat.
This limited view of God doesn't make sense to me: the God that I believe in can do whatever He wants, including manifesting Himself in the flesh as a man, or as a dove, or as whatever else pleases Him; moreover, I think Jesus (Yehoshua), is actually His Son, for not only was the Lord born of a woman, but He was also born of God, which would make Him, by His very nature, God.Do you not believe that man was made in the image and likeness of God?
Do you not believe that Jesus could do nothing except what he saw his Father do?
IOW, what he did, his Father did.
IOW if Jesus is a man, his Father is a man also. (a perfect resurrected, exalted man, lightyears difference between Him and us, but still a man)
You would be fooling yourself if you think their best guess is often used in translations. Years ago, and in some bibles you still have italicised words. What are those italicised words for? They are there to tell us that the translators could not know for sure what they were translating and so this was their best guess. They could guess, I suppose. But that’s not what they do.

So I submit that guessing is a lot to do with translating, especially ancient documents that could have serious problems with understanding the nuances of the day, and the way a writer may express themselves. It is not easy. But with God's help, we get close. And with modern prophets and apostles we do get to the truth.

God is the Spirit, from where all other spirits originate, and He is also the final place, to where all spirits eventually return; for He is the life, and has given of Himself to all, for this has pleased Him, and He will continue to do what pleases Him, perpetually:
"Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created." --Revelation 4:11
As the only true sovereign in existence, I'm grateful that God is good, and that what pleases Him is good, otherwise, life would be hell, and hell would be life.
Godspeed.
What does that mean? seriously, I've never heard that before.God is where all spirits originate
There’s not always an exact English equivalent. So they will add the word in order to make it make sense. That’s normal in any translating. What are they for?
Right, they add the word in order to make it make sense to their way of biased thinking. I am sure that is normal in any translating. There’s not always an exact English equivalent. So they will add the word in order to make it make sense. That’s normal in any translating.
I’m not going to entertain your conspiracy theory.Right, they add the word in order to make it make sense to their way of biased thinking. I am sure that is normal in any translating.
Still wondering. How do you know he was humble?
But again, this we both know: The bible unequivically says that Jesus is our Savior and the Holy Spirit baptizes us to testify of this truth. As we do what Jesus told us to do, we will meet him in heaven and he will make things plain to us, for we will see him as he really is.

First of all this is a long-winded sentence of rambling thoughts but I will address the first points you made [in bold}
If you left because you believe more in the Trinity than in a direct contact with God and Jesus and an eyewitness of their true nature, then I cannot help you just using the bible, because from the bible you can construct many natures of God and Jesus, which there are in the bible.---Peter1000
Where do get the idea that the Trinity is why most ex-Mormons become True Christians? I studied the Bible and found so many things where JS was wrong through the Holy Spirit that was given me. I WAS in direct contact with that Holy Spirit.
And an eyewitness as in JS who ONLY CLAIMED he saw Jesus and God as separate Beings?
You find the True Christ---you will have that "direct contact".
